This picture is four weeks (yes, FOUR WEEKS!) after my appointment with Olga. Now obviously I'm due for a refresher but I kind of wanted to see just how long this manicure would last. No closeup is all that flattering on 50 year old hands but, in my opinion, it's clear what a beautiful job she did on my cuticles. It is definitely nice at times to be able to walk into a salon spur-of-the-moment and get a quick manicure. However, it's well worth the planning ahead and a small, very reasonable extra expense to get this personal service done by a true professional. Olga takes her time to do top quality workmanship... And it DOES take TIME! (I.e. don't make a dentist appointment the same afternoon, lol.) It shows in the results that she truly cares about her craft. She reminded me to wear gloves when doing housework or gardening, not to use my nails as tools, and that my manicure would last longer if I took care of my nails properly. Olga is definitely a step above the rest! I have been to SO many nail salons and paid a variety of prices to basically get the same gel mani that starts to peel off or looks crappy a week or two later. This was NOT the case with Olga's work. She spent almost two hours meticulously shaping my nails to perfection and added a laquer and three coats of gel polish which made my nails feel so strong (like acrylics!) and no worries of breaking my nail from hitting it somewhere. She works with you one on one in her room at the salon so there is no rush or bother of other customers. It's going on three weeks and although my nails have grown a little the gel mani is still perfectly in place! Amazing!
