This place reminded me of a Middle Eastern food Subway or Chipotle-- you order stuff and indicate what you want as you move through the line. I had the mixed shwarma plate. Everything was OK, the meat (lamb, chicken, beef) was all a bit dry...I had a hard time with that. Next time I will try the felafel. Pita was delicious and fresh. Not bad for a $10 lunch. read more

My husband works downtown and eats here periodically and is a big fan. It's only open Monday-Friday 10 am to 6 pm so unless you work or live downtown, it's tricky to try. Finally, I had a conference that was being held at a nearby hotel and I got to check it out. I really liked it! They were super efficient and the line is very fast-moving so I suggest familiarizing yourself with the menu before you go so you don't hold people up. I panicked and pointed and still ended up with a delicious meal. The beef was very juicy and I loved the amba sauce and pickles. Get the platter and extra pita on the side, it is very light and fluffy. The major drawback is the seating. It is very, very limited and cramped. I would not sit in if you could avoid it. You have to check out their unlimited toppings like hummus, baba ganough (insanely tasty eggplant dip) and pickles. I've had dreams about their lafa bread - no joke, it's that good! This is a truly authentic, locally owned restaurant that puts love in the food and care into the customer service experience. The staff is warm and welcoming and I always love talking with them. If something's not right, let them know and they'll help you out. Ask them about their favorite items! Ask them how their dishes are made! Mu husband has a lot of dietary restrictions, but Cilantro has options for everyone. There are even gluten free, vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan and carnivorous choices. Don't forget dessert. Good place to get a quick bite to eat. When you order, you can get a Pita, Lafa, or Plate ( price varies) and choose between Falafel, Chicken/Lamb/Beef/Mixed Shawarma, or Veggie. You then go down the line and select your toppings ( veggies, hummus, rice, sauces, etc.). If you like, you can make it into a Combo for just $2.89 extra (includes soda and fries). They also do catering, so that's a plus. When I go, I get a Chicken Shawarma pita as a combo, with just about all the fixings. The Chicken Shawarma Pita is so tasty, and loaded! There's so many different flavors, its like having a party in your mouth. I know that's cheesy, but its true, Lol. I can never eat it all in one sitting. Which is great because I get 2 meals out of it. The French fries are delicious. If your a Fry person, try out the French Fries, you won't regret it. Just be cautious if you get rice in your pita, as they're a little heavy handed with the rice. You'll have more rice than meat and veggies in your Pita. read more

I have one serious complaint about Pitamore. That was not nearly enough. I could have eaten three more... Just kidding, the quantity was generous. But dammit, that was delicious, I could have eaten three more laffas. I came in for lunch, starving. I had walked past this place so many times on the way home from school but they were already closed by then. Encouraged by previous reviews, I tried it out. The gentlemen behind the counter are friendly, fast and courteous. They piled my chicken shawarma laffa with toppings and sauce just as I asked. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned and tender. The laffa was warm and soft, and the vegetables crunchy and fresh. I devoured it and am tempted to go back to the counter for another. I'm really loving the "build-your-own" concept that seems to be popping up everywhere. Pitamore is just like Chipotle except with Mediterranean food. It's quick, tasty, and cheap, making it a good lunch spot if you find yourself near the Inner Harbor area. I got the chicken pita ($6.99), but you can also get it as a plate and there are other proteins as well (prices vary depending on your selection). They have many toppings and sauces to choose from and they're very generous with everything. The only downside is that since the pita is like a pocket, your toppings end up in layers so you don't get everything in one bite. My pita also got quite soggy so it ended up falling apart. If I go back, I will probably consider getting the plate instead since it's only $1 more. Overall, great spot and fast service. It's small, but there are a few tables if you want to dine in. read more

Saw this place and wanted to try it. Who doesn't like Pita bread! I would compare this place to CAVA. You pick a meat and eat unlimited toppings. It was difficult to know exactly what to do or ask for since the menu just listed the meats. The lady in front of me got a bowl so I went with that. Wish they spelled it out a little more so us noobs know what to do. Food was good, not outstanding but good. Portion was a decent size. I got two meals out of it. I will say the pita bread itself is DA BOMB! I've only had thin breads but this was warm and thick. So good! They don't have a soda fountain but do sell bottles/cans. Also have some water. They inside was SO SMALL. I'm sure I was there prime time at lunch but tables were so close together. Of course I had a huge bag with me and probably knocked someone out with it. My advice would be prepared to take it to go. I would eat here again but can't say it would be my first choice. read more

This place is like chipotle and cava where you choose your choice of protein and unlimited toppings. I got their falafel plate which was only $8 after tax. I chose almost all of their toppings and they all tasted good! The falafels were freshly fried as I ordered it. I love all of their toppings, especially their tabbouleh salad. They have a choice of four sauces: garlic, tzaziki, tahini, and some kind of mango vinaigrette. I got the tahini and mango which were both really good. Small quaint little food spot! It has a couple of tables inside with all the fresh food subway style in front of you. Never really encountering Mediterranean food I wish they were a bit more accommodating with telling what was what. I felt like my food prep was a bit rush but I got a little of everything. Pitamore is one of my favorite places to get lunch in the city because it's cheap, fast and delicious. The build-your-own style is perfect because you can get exactly what you want. Everything is always fresh and delicious, they have my favorite falafel by far. My only gripe with this place is how hectic it gets during the lunch rush. It's so bad that when I want to come here I have to come later in the day after the lunch rush has passed. On multiple occasions when I came during super busy hours I was rushed, they were rushed, and once they even forgot my falafel entirely! Parking also sucks. Plan on walking here because chances are you won't find a parking spot anywhere on the street even if you go down a few blocks.
