This place is a gem ! I truly recommend it to anyone who just enjoys good food. Prices are on point and the food is EXCELLENT ! I had the Sabich which I had never tried before and let me tell you I was blown away. I went with my boyfriend and total was $25 for both, and after lunch we didn't even had dinner since it was a lot of food and we basically cleaned out both of our plates. You will never regret coming to this place, period. This is our new favorite place! My boyfriend is from Iran and I lived in the Middle East for a while, so we are always seeking out new, high quality Middle Eastern places to try. This one was exceptional! You can really tell that Eddie (the owner) puts a lot of love into the food. What stood out for me was the number of different sides available. Often in places like this it's pretty meat and rice based, but alongside our kebabs and rice there were beans, pickles, tons of different salads, vegetables and sides. All included within one main dish. So many different textures and flavors and such a great experience. We will DEFINITELY be back for more. read more

Not your average falafel joint, it's actually the closest I've come to the food in Israel. Fresh and pickled veggies, creamy hummus, delicious sauces served up with a smile. The sabich sandwich was packed with eggplant, two hard boiled eggs and two falafel, just look at that overflow. Came back the following day to try one of their daily specials. First day and greeted like family! 5 STAR SERVICE, 5 STAR AUTHENTIC MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD. The owners are incredible! When I asked for a falafel platter he was so excited for me to try a little bit of everything since I wasn't too familiar and a little bit of everything is what I got! He even gave me some free pastries to try! I felt such a good vibe in the restaurant that carried out throughout my day. Thank you! The falafel is a star and not your typical dry falafel. So many delicious vegetarian options that I needed in this neighborhood. I had to ask for a take out container and enjoyed a delicious healthy meal for both lunch and dinner! We moved around the corner recently and got a recommendation, so we stopped in to grab food for an early dinner. Apparently Eddie (the owner) was closing, so he couldn't give us anything from the menu, but instead put together a platter of hummus and fresh pita, for free, and asked that we come back the next day. Amazing. So we came back the next day, and have had several incredible meals since, served by the friendliest people you can imagine. We are so happy to have Pita Point right around the corner from us, and the menu is always changing so we've barely even scratched the surface because there's always incredible daily specials. Also, the portions are huge, so we normally save half and can make lunch + dinner out of it. LOVE THIS PLACE, and Eddie always remembers us when we walk in, especially because my wife is pregnant and he asks about the baby. read more

I found a menu for Pita Point in my neighborhood, and learning that the restaurant was only three blocks from my apartment, I went to give it a try (I am a serious fan of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food). Truly, I ended up going the very next day for more. Pita Point will become a regular spot for me. If you are looking to eat healthy (without being bored), eat really delicious food, or eat in a VERY clean and pleasant restaurant, try this place. Everything was fresh, tasty, and carefully prepared. The pita bread is soft and pillowy, the falafels crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside, the hummus is delicious. They have an excellent selection of fresh vegetables, salads, and sauces (including spicy sauce) at their salad bar. In addition to the standard menu, there is also a menu that changes daily. The service is also fantastic and the staff is very helpful to help you understand the menu and make sure your order is delivered promptly and to your liking. There are better, friendlier, and cheaper kosher and Middle Eastern restaurants in Brooklyn. The person I gave my order to -- probably the owner -- refused to answer my questions about the menu. When I asked what he preferred between two dishes, he cut me off with "Whatever you like." When I asked if a certain dish was good, again he cut me off -- "whatever you like." Same thing when I asked what his favorite dish was. I finally gave in and just ordered what looked like a relatively cheap entree, the Shakshuka for $8. He asked me if I wanted it in pita bread or on a plate. I asked which he preferred, and again he reiterated, "Whatever you like." I gave in again, and just went with "the plate" because it sounded like less food than pita, which is a filling bread. It's like comparing a salad with a burrito. After I ate, and went to pay, he charged me $13, finally informing me that the plate costs $4 more than the pita. I contested this, explaining that I specifically chose the Shakshuka because it was $8. He insisted that I should have known the difference in price between the pita and plate. When I pointed out that he wouldn't answer my questions earlier, he wouldn't budge, and asserted that I should have known it would be more, even though I placed my finger on the $8 sign on the menu when I ordered. I even spoke Hebrew with him and opened up about how I don't have a lot of money right now and that $4-5 is a big difference for me. Ironically, while this was happening, a friend of his was trying to hand him tips for his meal, and he was refusing them, but still wouldn't accommodate my plea. He simply said that now I will know for next time. But for me, there won't be a next time there. It's unfortunate because when I first walked in I was excited to suggest a new restaurant to friends and family that keep kosher in NYC. I won't anymore; I'll be recommending somewhere else. read more

I only walked out of Pita Point about three minutes ago and I'm already writing my review. That food was absolutely delicious. Best baba ghanoush! Best hummus! Best tahini! And the pita! It's one of those light hot kinda disks of a pitas that has a steaming hot fluffy crumb to it. My husband got the shakshuka and it was gorgeous. My son got the chicken kebab that was so perfectly seasoned. I don't write reviews often. Only when some thing stands so far above the rest. Pita Point is that place. The owner is warm and inviting and the falafel he made for me was one of the best I've ever had in NYC: the pita was warm and soft and all of the ingredients (from the hummus and Israeli salad to the green, perfectly cooked falafel balls) were bursting with color and flavor. The owner asked my name as if he felt insulted that he didn't know every customer that steps food inside personally. I ordered a falafel platter and was graciously gifted one to try as I waited for it to be prepared. MY GOODNESS was it delicious! Not the dry and hard falafel you're use to at all. The owners were friendly and chatted throughout my experience here, I was even offered some of the wife's (who cooks all of the food herself) specialty dish that I can't remember the name of, to try so that I could order it on my next visit.
