I'm back visiting Sherrie at this awesome restaurant. Today, I got the house falafel pita (no onions for me), Turkish coffee and the Kunafa

Falafel bites was amazing! I had the Chicken Shwarma Pita Wrap and the food was so fresh and flavorful and affordable. They also had so many different textures involved and also included fries in the sandwich wrap as well. I really enjoy my meal here and it also looks like such a fun place to hangout too and they had a ton of board games too that you can play as well.

Customer service 11/10, the owner is a babe and talked to us through our visit because it was a little slow Mint lemonade is bomb, I still think about it every day 6 months later, get the chicken over rice or mix over rice Writing the review so I can find it faster next time

A delicious new addition to Ridgewood. The portions are generous and so good! Our server Sherry explained that everything is made fresh so it may take up to 15 minutes to get our food which was fine as it is a cute place with a nice atmosphere. My brother who dined with me had the falafel on pita sandwich He really enjoyed his choice too. The prices are very reasonable too. I will definitely be going back.

The food was delicious! I had the beef kofta over rice. Everything was seasoned to perfection, the kofta was juicy and the portions were generous. For dessert I had the basbousa. It was delicate and sweet, so good. Service was also great. The woman who served us was very attentive and polite. I enjoyed their food, it was a nice experience and will definitely be going back.

    Chicken Shawarma Pita. Zalabia

The place was nice. It had some board games to play with if you had to wait and with friends. Tried their Turkish coffee and tasted as you expected. Earthy with a side of yum. It's said to be strong so if you haven't had it, take that with stride. I also tried the chicken shawarma and that did pretty well. The meat was flavorful and with the white sauce, was tasty with a hint of sweetness. The Zalabia was sweet and tasted like a toasted doughnut. Definitely would order more in the future. Good place to try for the desserts and off you're a fan for meat over rice. Getting one meal like chicken over rice was well worth it.

Clean restaurant, spot on service and excellent food !!! Very recently opened and is already a to go spot for many people. They were packed with orders on a Wednesday afternoon at 7 pm .

    Kunafa Cheese

Cute cafe bistro vibes, very cozy and welcoming. The owners are an Egyptian husband wife duo and Sherry, the wife, was an amazing host. She took time to answer our questions and chatted with us. I saw her chatting up other patrons as well, and was passionate about the food we were going to try. Some things are limited as they're learning what demand to supply for. Food itself was so good and great portions. The hummus was flavorful, the falafel crispy on the outside and moist and fluffy inside, the rice was the right texture, and the kunafa was oily cheesy crispy fried goodness. I'm writing all this in hopes this convinced a few people to try the place out, I think it's got some charm and hope to see it last!

    Chicken and rice platter

I had the chicken and rice platter and it was delicious! It was so much food, but I crushed it, lol. Even after eating so much I didn't feel sick and disgusting after which is a sign of quality ingredients!! I really love that the food is made fresh when you order.

My first foray into Albanian food and was so surprised by how different it was from Greek food. It was amazing, but perhaps not my favorite cuisine though I am eager to come back and try more. Leçenik (5/5) - this was recommended by our server. It had a very rich favor and went perfectly with red wine. (warning: cottagcheese could be a bit too cheesy to eat alone) 2. Qofte (6/5) - iabsolutely fantastic. Meat, vegetables, and potatoes were paired so well together. White sauce was delicious! 3. Grilled Octopus (4/5) - this was OK. Perhaps octopus was overcooked? grilled vegetables were simple, but yummy and delicious. 4. Kajmak (4/5) - I was expecting its texture to be more firm like greet yogurt, but it was a bit watery. The restaurant is super charming and I will definitely go back to try other main dishes.

From start to finish everything missed the mark: The hummus was bland and tasted like someone forgot the spices. The doma (dolmas) were disappointing and didn't have the rich flavor they should. Even the baklava, which should be a sweet highlight, was dry, lackluster, and honestly not enjoyable. The Turkish coffee was so bitter it was almost undrinkable -- if you like bitter coffee, maybe it's your thing, but it wasn't what I expected. They market themselves as Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine, but what I ate didn't come close to what I'd consider good food in that category. My stomach was still growling afterward -- and not in a "I want more" way, but in a "why did I eat this?" way. The staff and service were fine and the atmosphere is pretty, but at the end of the day it's just not worth it when the food itself is so underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic or tasty Turkish/Middle Eastern food.

The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and inviting -- exactly the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, whether you're there for a quiet dinner or celebrating with friends. The quality of the food was outstanding across the board. I ordered the Sultani Kebab, which was perfectly grilled, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly tender -- every bite melted in my mouth. My friend had the Lamb Shank, and it was equally phenomenal: slow-cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, and bursting with rich, authentic Persian flavors. The saffron rice was fluffy and fragrant, the bread was fresh and warm, and even the appetizers and salads showed real care and attention to detail. We literally cleaned our plates -- not a grain of rice left behind! What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Musa, the manager, is in a league of his own. Despite the restaurant being absolutely packed on the night we visited, he handled everything with grace, professionalism, and a genuine smile. He made sure we were seated quickly, checked in on us throughout the meal, and made every single guest feel like a VIP. Musa and his team are a powerhouse -- incredibly strong, well-coordinated, attentive, and passionate about what they do. You can tell they take real pride in their work, and that energy radiates throughout the entire restaurant. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions, the premium quality of the ingredients, and the top-tier service. It's rare to find a place that nails all three -- food, ambiance, and hospitality -- but Ravagh absolutely does. My friends and I left feeling completely satisfied, well-fed, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine in a warm, welcoming setting with a team that truly cares, Ravagh is the place. A huge thank you to Musa and the entire staff for making our evening so memorable. We'll definitely be back -- and we'll be bringing more friends with us!

Delicious from start to finish!…read more A colleague recommended Ravagh for a team dinner in the Chelsea location and I am so grateful we came here. To drink, I ordered the Tehrani Mule; a take on the moscow with a house made ginger lime juice. 8/10; a tad watery. We decided to go family style with ordering and chose the mediterranean salad, kotlet, and falafel to start. The falafel was perfectly crisp with a slightly smoky outer crust that added really great texture and flavor. A bit dry tho -- Needed the hummus and Mezze Platter to dress it up a little. Salad was refreshing, crispy and a great palette cleanser across the table. The combo platter + mixed rice was fabulous. Chicken was tender and came right off the bone (something I'm new to but it was good!). It came with a side of tzatziki and persian zhoug (?) - a minty and herby chutney that just added another layer to the aromatics of the dish. Although the rice was great, it was a really large portion even for the group of 5. It would've been nice to have the option to split to a half portion of vegetables or different grain to balance quantity. Overall 8.9/10 - Definitely worth a visit with a group for business dinner or catching up on a friend's night out. The service is great, everyone is super attentive and you can really feel that the food with made with love. So glad I tried this place and I'll be back to give their dolmeh and dessert a taste!
