This is a cute and cozy salad place, with plenty of healthy options. I chose the soup and salad combo, chorizo taco salad and the baked potato soup. Salad was very tasty, a bit too many jalapeños for my taste. The soup was also good, I liked that it wasn't salty. Service was good, I was also with my partner. Trash. This is what I get for trusting a white establishment in Bushwick. I ordered the crispy grain bowl. It was pretty much lettuce with a sprinkle of rice, some processed pita chips crumbled on top, and cold chicken. The whole bowl was cold. I was gagged, and I know it's my fault because I should never trust a white establishment in Bushwick. Don't go there--save yourself. It's a great spot if you want to eat before chilling at the park across the street or grab a beverage as you people watch. I will say it's a little pricey. I ordered one smoothie and it was $14 lol. I opted for the Just Beet It fresh juice. It was a medley of fruits and vegetables with the highlight being beets. I loved the texture of it. It was surprisingly thick with a creamy feel. This place has two bistro tables with a total of 4 seats in the middle of the store and then stool seating at the window and some seating outdoors. Unfortunately, when we asked to use the rest room, after spending $34.82 for two Cobb Salads and a can of lemon water, we were told there is no bathroom and to perhaps visit a coffee shop if we needed a bathroom. You sell food, specifically Salad, which might cause someone to need a toilet. I thought that was pretty horrific customer service, giving the fact there were chairs and tables available to sit and enjoy a meal. In the end, while my salad tasted fine, it was nothing extraordinary, and the lack of toilet available made this experience super unpleasant, overpriced, and uncomfortable. I've come here 2x with my husband and I will say the food is delicious. The staff that took my order both times were very friendly. That is where the 3 stars comes from. However, I noticed that both times when I ordered TO GO and didn't tip,the blonde girl at the counter purposely took a long time to complete my order. I did not get a salad or anything that was made to order, so there really wasn't any need for me to wait. I literally stood there and watched her take a call, help other people, and chat with her coworkers while my husband and I waited. After about 10 minutes of waiting, she turned and pulled the other item out of the fridge and told us our order was ready. Ok this place isn't perfect but it deserves better than the score it has now. Sure there's no bathroom but this is more of a grab-and-go place. The ambience inside sucks; only a psycho would choose to stay and eat here anyway. Sure sometimes they get swamped with orders and it takes forever for yours to come out, but both times this happened to me the cashier let me take a free kombucha, which I appreciated! It's a little pricey but there's nowhere else in Bushwick you can get fresh salads with quality ingredients handmade right in front of you. It's a great place to have right by the park. This place was a bit of a slow burn for me but its quickly becoming a go-to! This place/ambiance is not super exciting to look at, which is probably why I walked by it without stopping for so long. If you are craving a good salad though, this is the spot. The prices are a bit high but the portions are large, and I can often make two meals out of it. Additionally, they don't skimp on the toppings; i've literally had to tell them to put LESS cheese if you can believe that. I embarrassed myself the first time and just ordered from the register, so make sure to order your salad/bowl directly from the people making it behind the counter, and then go up to the register to pay. I also appreciate the long hours this place is open!! Definitely a bonus since a lot of local cafe/salad type spots tend to close early. I was on my way to the train to work my Night Shift and this place is on the same block as my train. I didn't have any lunch for the night for my shift so I walked in because it look intriguing the inside and I saw a bit of their menu from the outside. The employees were very nice greeted me and helped me choose a salad I asked which was their favorite and they suggested the steak salad that they have on their menu not sure of the name but it has steak. I think he knew I wasn't going to eat the salad at that moment because he asked if I wanted the salad dressing on the side which I was happy for because then my salad won't get soggy when I eat it at 2am. Anyways their salads are about $15 minimum and tbh that is not too bad it's a little overpriced I would say like $12 would be a good range but it was very yummy and it was very filling i mean this salad has me stuffed with some leftover I think you can share this with someone. Very good salad and the dressing was the best part it had a spicy kick to it loved it. I also got a smoothie "the nutcracker" it was so delicious I drank that on my way to work on the spot. It was so good! And kept me full and energized for some time. The smoothie was $12 tho which is on the higher end I would say for the size I wouldn't king if it was $10 but overall it was very good! I'm only giving it 4 stars bc if the prices it is expensive I think my total was like $28 for both items but they were both very delicious and the staff was very nice and the service was quick i was in and out by like 5 mins. They even gave me a wet wipe for my hands in the bag and packed it so well omg i loved that had zero spills !! I go here often but won't anymore, price is high for not that good of food and TERRIBLE service! Went once with my bf, he got a sandwich and I got the "warm" bowl. The blonde cashier says she will bring the sandwich to him. His food arrives first and im waiting at least 20min or more after he's been served for my food to arrive. Been on a hunt for a great salad place and ended up venturing to BK to try this place out. The options to build your own salad are vast and definitely equipped to build a great salad. I ordered a large salad with mixed greens, marinated flank steak, avocado, corn, black beans, roasted red peppers, broccoli, and chipotle cheddar dressing. The salad was great and for $12 is an absolute steal for a large salad. Only complaint would be that it was slightly under-seasoned but they had a try of seasonings that you can add to compensate. Now onto the food: -Spicy Joe Panini: chicken, avocado, spicy mayo and bacon BITS :/ besides the wool over the eye with thw bacon bits, this was flavorful and good. -Steak, avocado, goat cheese panini (cannot recall the name): yummy!!! Simple and light -Asian premade salad: hubby loves this -Caesar salad without olives: sooo good. Yes you can mess up a caesar, but they do not We shared the paninis and each had a small salad. That's a good size for a hungry person, I actually stopped at the panini and had the salad the next day. But sharing allowed us to have a half of each panini. Spicy joe became overwhelming at a point, and steak became bland after a bit so it was nice to bounce back and forth between the two flavors. Not a five star because it is expensive when you add it up, each time my salad has leaves I won't eat because they're wilted, and I definitely had an in-person "everyblack person looks alike moment" here. I walked in and no one helped me for at least five minutes then finally a woman looks up and asks what else I want to order, I confusingly say that I haven't even been addressed yet much less ordered yet. Quality of the "warm bowl" I got was sub par, I've been wanting to try this place for a while, didn't think it would be a $20 salad. I got basically what I would get at sweet green, difference is it was about $7 more. The chicken was gross tasting, portions were small, and overall quality and taste was just not the vibe.
