Got a prosciutto and mozzarella with sun dried tomatoes on a hero ,I know the economy is shit but charging me 20 bucks for a empty dry sandwich is ridiculous you guys are around for 100 yrs and I think you would master a Italian hero either get better workers or train them better .im from Williamsburg Bk and I know everybody says anthony and son's charges alot but for this price you'll never get something looking like this disaster !!!!

Quite honestly, it's hard to go wrong with anything from Ivarone Bros. From the pizza to the pasta, everything is made with the utmost quality which reflects in the taste. Typically I grab and go whether its pizza or a sandwich but recently I sat down and dined in for the first time. We ordered the couple appetizers and for my main course I settled on Chicken Scarpiello. The portion was absolutely massive - I had enough to take home for a full second meal. Huge chunks of chicken and sausage and healthy portion of veggies. Highly recommend!

Porterhouse steak, cooked a perfect medium.

I can't stress enough how memorable a bbq is with a porterhouse from Iavarone. As soon as i finish cooking that steak a perfect medium and slice it for everyone to try the first question i get asked is "where did you get the steak?" It always brings me great joy to know that the people enjoy the quality as much as i do. Everything from Iavarone is delicious and fresh so believe the hype. When someone asks for quality meats i always direct them here. They have beautiful cuts, their meat is never crowded, very nicely organized. Their salads are delicious and fresh as well. You really can't go wrong with trying the food from here, i choose this over any supermarket beef, chicken, sometimes they even have fresh fish. Italian all the way so make sure to try their sausages, their chicken patties are delicious as well. They aim to please here!

Everything in that store is great. I think it has the freshest food and the best meat bread of any of the Ivarrone brothers locations.

This store has an eclectic variety of shelf stable products, a Deli Dept. that has American, Italian, Polish cold cuts, and salads. The guys that slice the cold cuts are experts; each slice is evenly cut, and the way you asked. There is a separate meat market in the back, with an "Old-world" style butcher. Their produce section is amazing. It's the world wide selection of fresh produce, herbs, and vegetables that is truly amazing. Keep your Translator app open. Many of the cans & bottles are in the native language from the country where they are produced. The experience is akin to being in a market in another country. The staff somehow keeps the shelves and bins filled, actually know what they are handling, and they can answer a question. There's a navigator that keeps the check-out line moving. The prices on most items are very inexpensive, almost from 20 years ago and the quality is comparable to one of those upscale supermarkets.

They pretty much only have one thing on the menu, so that made things easy. The cheesesteak itself was packed with meat and cheese. I don't normally like seeded breads but this one was hella good. Regardless a 10/10 cheesesteak. Is it the most I've ever spent on a cheesesteak? Without a doubt. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to eat this all the time if I lived nearby, it was that good to me! If you love cheesesteaks as much as I do, this one is worth the try IMO.

Absolutely. But MY GOD, hands down the best cheesesteak I've ever had in my life. And honestly it's the bread that brings the whole thing together. I can't even explain how good it was. I went in expecting it to be good, but not THAT good. Worth every penny and I would 100% eat here again. Believe the hype on this one!

Interesting selection of Filipino groceries on the front and an incredible cafeteria style steam…read moretable in the back with a large, clean seating area. I don't know much about Filipino food, all I know is that every thing I got here was heavily seasoned, hearty home cooking. I got the combo with three dishes. First I got the eggplant and pork, which was seasoned with shrimp paste. This was very rich and salty and savory, and although I have never really eaten Filipino food before, this dish gave me an intense food memory but I couldn't nail down what it was reminding me of. The pork is soft and fatty and gelatinous. I also got some kind of chicken stew which came in a sauce of tomato and bell pepper. This was my least favorite the three, but still a solid dish. It reminded me of my mom's chicken chili but more intense and heavily seasoned. The chicken has small bone fragments I had to be careful to pick out. Lastly, I got the pork adobo on the employees recommendation. It was super tangy and vinegary and the pork was very soft and fatty. I got noodles with my meal, but after they were already on my plate the employee told me all these dishes go very well with rice. I wish I had gotten rice, it seems that's the way to go and I will certainly do so when I return. This food is hearty and well seasoned and the portions were very large and more than worth the price. I paired my meal with a couple interesting drinks and a dessert from the grocery sections and had a fantastic meal. Looking forward to my next visit.

I'm a new fan! Was learning a lot more about Filipino restaurants in Elmhurst & on Queens Blvd…read more because they never seem like a lot of options for a decent lunch when I'd run errands at Target. A friend mentioned a grocery store nearby & I was happy enough since grocery stores are my one of favorite things. Before the restaurant space & grocery consolidated, I noticed the restaurant first (there were many different doors) & was wondering what kind of businesses was it - saw a few tables & it looked busy with people buying food at the steam tables. I looked but was intimidated by the different stews & nothing was labeled. Also, the giant name on the awning doesn't really show that it's a food business, I guess unless you know the language. I always thought it was some kind of furniture store. The "restaurant" has now moved inside the grocery store. I think it works pretty well, because it's so casual. There's about 6-8 tables and every time I go there's always aunties and elders eating. & a lot of people after work or maybe school going in to pick up their dinner. The food is fresh! I recommend the 2 combo plate & add a side of soup. There's a little bit of ordering anxiety, but I watch what other people are getting & if they're not too busy the young workers behind the counter are very nice about explaining things. I've had the beef calderata (beef stew & tomato), pork with liver sauce (actually really good, soy-saucey & deep. Not a strong liver flavor), vegetables (long beans, carrot & okra) in a sort of yellow, turmeric? coconut curry. Highly recommend getting their Sinigang soup of the day. If you like kind of hot & sour flavors (more on the sour end but a clear broth) try it! It's usually with pork but I had a special Salmon one & it was delicious! Found a whole okra & good vegetables in it. Ask for garlic rice (might be extra), it's worth it! There's a lot of options to try, sometimes there's BBQ skewers. You can also get individual sides, Pancit (a rice vermicelli noodle), saw a plate of Pancit Canton (lo mein noodles) come out from the back for a lady. Wish things were labeled or there was a written sign. Very much geared towards Filipino customers who are familiar with the dishes so I guess it's not a high priority. You also can't go wrong with Chicken Adobo (stewed chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, ginger. But has bones). The tables are clean & it's like a little canteen feel where every seems to run into an auntie or uncle they know. There's a case with a lot of coconut desserts & tapioca flour treats, and drinks. One single bathroom FYI. I forget if it's cash only (their register is separate from the grocery's), but paying with exact change in cash is probably easiest.
