He makes every falafel to order- so amazingly fresh it's like an entirely different food from the dry reheated chunks you usually get. He fries the falafel only when you order it, he boils the eggs only when you order it. Only one suggestion, put one piece of falafel in the pita all the way at the bottom, that way you get that delicious falafel with all the wonderful fixings in every bite. I had a sabich sandwich and a side of falafel... everything was soooooooo fresh and delicious.... the eggs were freshly hard-boiled, the yoke masterfully left just a touch creamy ... the eggplant was deeee-licious and not mushy at all.... all the picked veg were super fresh ... the hummus and tahini were both super silky.... the falafel balls were incredibly light and fluffy on the inside while perfectly crispy on the inside and the herbs mixed in tasted super fresh.... the red zhug had some fire and tons of flavor... A client of mine put me up on this place about a month ago and I have been coming as much as possible ever since. Their daily menu is amazing and better than any other Peta spot that I frequent. Along with their daily menu the chef/owner prepares daily specials that remind me of amazing home cooking. I have not seen this level of quality anywhere in this great city of ours. When speaking with the owner/chef I could see the pride and confidence in his eyes when speaking about his food. He knows exactly what he's doing and is backed up by the amazing Angela who is working the counter With Grace and finesse. If you're not sure what order she can point you in the right direction. The falafel is excellent, the meat dishes are seasoned to perfection and tender as can be. Oh yeah, the salad bar. Look forward to the Salad bar. By far my favorite falafel and hummus in bushwick/bedstuy- probably my favorite falafel and hummus hands down. the food is so, so good and the owner is incredibly sweet. I recommend this spot to all my friends it is my favorite and a gem to the neighborhood! Clean place. Courteous staff, hi Eddie. Now this spot knows their falafel. I got a falafel sandwich. Great portion size, flavorful and moist. I could not eat the whole thing in one sitting. Had the rest later that night. The flavors marinated even more. I do not frequent this side of Brooklyn too often but it's a worthwhile trip to get the falafel. Next time I'll try the platter. When I first walked in I got the vibe this was one of those places that isn't meant for you if you're a cultural outsider.
