The bowling is Duckpin which I haven't played, it's like mini bowling. Pay per game. Then they have a lot of games that are free as long as they are available, including skee ball, arcade type games and sega console games. So cute! Their pin ball machines are $1 for 3 balls, ping pong you just need to get the ball from their little vending machine for $0.25. They have a Photo Booth and basketball games as well. We saw they had pizza but we got some fries and sliders at the little food vendor. Full bar with a lot of options and pitchers of select cocktail drinks that serve multiple people. I really wasn't planning on writing a review, but after a negative interaction with Clifford, I felt like I should share my experience. The environment just wasn't for me. It's incredibly loud, and not in a fun, energetic way. It felt like there were three different soundtracks competing at once. Somewhere, a group was singing "Happy 3rd Birthday" to Jaxton... or maybe Ryder. Meanwhile, a birthday party of five-year-olds was repeatedly dropping balls from 18 inches off the ground, two recent UT alumni were practically yelling over each other while trying to play the loudest, clankiest Connect 4 I've ever encountered (think an old-school gym made entirely of iron plates), and the outdoor speakers were blasting what felt like an endless string of commercials. If you're looking for a calm place to relax or have a conversation, this probably isn't it. This is one of the coolest spots that I've visited. Such a great place to get together hang out and just have a good time. The service is top notch. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food offerings are basic grub for bowling and having drinks. Pretty much all the games are free with the exception of duck bowling and pinball. This place is huge! I love the industrial vibe. They had a lot more 'free' things to do than I was expecting. You do pay for things like food, drinks, duckpin bowling, foosball, and pinball, but basically everything else is no charge - skee ball, hookie, patio pong, bocce, cornhole, giant jenga, ping pong, shuffleboard, and video games. There are lots of TVs and places to sit/gather. Lots of space both inside and outside. I took my nephews who were visiting and it was a great place for people of all ages to have fun together. Great for both smaller or larger groups. The staff was helpful when we had questions about how things worked. Overall: 4.3/5 Our friend was celebrating her birthday here and booked duckpin bowling for a group. We had never played duckpin bowling before so it was fun to learn a new sport. It moved a lot faster than regular bowling which kept things exciting. This place is massive! They have so many other games and activities as well but we didn't get a chance to explore so we'll have to come back next time. They had food vendors on site so we ordered cheese and pepperoni pizza from Lefty's Pizza Kitchen for dinner. The cheese was surprisingly better than the pepperoni. They also cut it into really small pieces which made it fun to grab a slice, bowl a frame, and go back for more. The cocktails were really good and affordable too. Carrie Fisher ($12): Rum, coconut, pineapple, lime juice, and rock candy. Loved the fun rock candy topper though it was very hard to eat. The drink was on the lighter side and easy to drink. Atomic Blonde ($12): Tequila, mezcal, honey mango, and pineapple with a chamoy and tajin candy stick. The candy stick was freaking delicious, and the drink was pretty tasty too. Such a great pairing that we ordered a second one. The Game Over ($18): A 25 oz drink in a reusable plastic mason jar with 8 liquors, sprite, lemonade, and Hawaiian punch. We recently went to Pins Mechanical for a small birthday gathering. It was my first time there and I was very pleasantly surprised. The place is very big and they have three food trucks. We all tried something different and the food was very good. They have seasonal drinks that were also good. There are games all around this very big space, inside and out and most of them are free! We just made a loop and tried most of the games and ended up in the pinball area. This is a great place for all ages. I had fun and my seven year-old grandson had a blast! My husband and I try to find an arcade bar every trip - this spot was so clean, so many options, and honestly, one of our faves. If my nephew wasn't ready to go, we probably could have been here for hours. The bar had so many great beers to choose from, and we even endulged in honestly, one of the better espresso martinis I've ever had. Food is pretty standard pub food - we went close to Thanksgiving so both food locations weren't open. We had wings and toasted ravs and they were pretty standard. The drinks were strong, I had an espresso martini, my boyfriend had one of their nonalcoholic drinks (it was good, had a biters like a negroni!) and the bowling was a hit! I was shocked to discover Pins Mechanical Co nestled in the south Austin St Elmo neighborhood. I live in south Austin and had no idea that this amazing entertainment wonderland existed. Pins is the perfect place for those seeking a memorable time and old-school fun. There is plenty of parking. Walking up there is outdoor space with plenty of seating and outdoor games to enjoy. Once inside, it was sensory overload with 43,000 square feet of an adult playground. They have a variety of games many which are free like vintage arcade and pinball machines. The highlight was the duckpin bowling where you can rent a lane and enjoy a game where the skills are very different than normal bowling. The balls are much smaller and do not have finger holes in them. The pins are smaller as well and they are attached to strings that lift the pins each turn to reset. To my amazement you also get 3 turns instead of 2! Since it was my first time playing this game it took some adjusting to develop skills. They also have pinball, patio pong, hookie, ping pong, bocce, foosball and giant jinga. There are numerous entertainment options for everyone. The business is pet friendly and you can take children there before 9 pm. You can bring in outside food or have it delivered. They also have a few good truck options on site including pizza and JewBoy sliders. You can book an event there. I was there for a run club event and we had a personal server who took our order. We also received drink tickets. There were many unique libations including cocktails. I enjoyed the Atomic Blonde with Tequila, Mezcal, Honey Mango and Pineapple. They also have daily specials throughout the week. The bar staff are efficient and friendly. Their specials are shaved ice cocktails. I will definitely be back for economical fun with free and paid entertainment options. So much fun!!! read more

One of my new favorite bars! This place is sooo freaking cool. We came here for our two friends' birthday party and had an area reserved for us outside with picnic tables and cute swings and it was great. The drinks were strong but delicious. When you walk inside, the are is huge. There are a BUNCH of different types of games you can play: bowling, connect 4, classic arcade games, mini golf, sit down video games such as tetris, etc. It was seriously one of the coolest bars ive been to here in Austin and the bartender was also super nice and quick with drinks, and remembered every time I came up to put something else on my boyfriend's tab. This place is massive and the concept is really cool. I just wish the parking was as massive as the establishment. I have to agree with other reviewers, the parking situation sucks. My favorite part of this place is the old school themed area for video games. From the shag carpeting to the old school photos, I was literally cracking up! It's very creative and it stayed full the whole time that we were there, so we did not get a chance to sit and play any games. The drinks were just ok. I only drink wine or craft cocktails, so nothing really caught my eye regarding drinks. I do not eat meat, so JewBoy was off the table for me which left only the pizza truck and it was just ok. It's a cool place to visit on occasion, but not somewhere I would like to frequent. When we have teenagers in town, we like to bring them here or take them to cidercade which is another place that is cool, however, they also have terrible pizza. read more

Don't sleep on the Jell-O shots either. There seems to be some parking around and some garages although those might be the apartment complex.
