Food itself great. But they are unbelievably slow, even when there isn't a rush you'll have to wait close to 15 to 20 minutes for pastries. They have a drive-thru which is convenient. They have quite a few signs that say "now open 24 hours" or "24 hours", absolutely not true. We went there at 10pm one day and they were closed. But great pastries.

We stopped for a quick sweet treat after a day at the beach. We bought a guava and cheese pastelito and grabbed pineapple cake and tres leches cheesecake to take with us to go. They were all great!

The cutest gem!! Come try a homemade pastry at this place. It won't disappoint. The selection of desserts is endless. I'd go back any day.

Key Largo Pinecrest Bakery is a good place to pop in for delicious Cuban savories and sweets -- if you have time to wait. They need some more employees! Servers were very sweet, but it took a loooooooong time to get a few chicken croquettes and gauva pastatillos. Very delicious, nice plus that they have a drive thru, but it's definitely not a quick stop.

Food is excellent. Everything on menu was explained to us very patiently & recommendations spot on!! Cafe con leche is amazing! Staff friendly warm and inviting. Great way to start our day!

I thought this place was terrific. It's a Cuban bakery with outstanding coffee and pastries. Their English isn't the greatest but neither is my Spanish so we made it work. Your coffee might be served in tiny drinking vessel. Relax. This isn't Starbucks. There's a lot of caffeine in this stuff, plus it's delicious. Highly recommended for authentic Cuban coffee and baked goods.

Whoa big disappointment, not with the food because we never got that far, there were a few customers sitting at the tables inside tapping their feet waiting on their orders, the outside completely empty and a car parked in the drive-through for who knows how long. After browsing the pastry case for longer than I wanted to, I was ready to ask a few questions and place an order but the employees were pre-occupied and most of the pastries weren't labeled. After making it obvious I was ready to get the ordering process underway, I couldn't make the connection tick tock 5 minutes, 10 minutes and still absolutely no acknowledgement that I exist. Well it quickly became apparent I wasn't going to taste any of their desserts today and likely ever so I split empty handed without even a thank you for stopping by...

Cakes were delicious had the chocolate and the chocolate rum cake both were fantastic if your in key largo this place is worth the stop. Service was quick and easy.

Great spot for a "cafe con leche" and a pastry. Good selection of pastries to choose from.

Very sweet and welcoming ladies. Was a last minute thing and definitely glad we came in. Colda was delicious and so many amazing desserts the make your mouth water. Small inside dining area but plenty room outside. And can't go wrong with great Latin music in the background. Great place to find a salty or sweet snack! Yummy

Reviews are mixed. Many praise the wide pastry selection, Cuban coffee, and friendly staff. The convenient drive-thru is also noted.

Excellent service and food. I really would like for them to be open later at night since in the keys everything close early.

Price is a bit on the higher end and atmosphere is quaint; don't go in expecting a luxurious atmosphere. But they more than make up for it with the delicious food and super friendly service. We only ordered 2 entrees but it comes with a Caesar salad each and garlic bread for the table with a delicious oil/sauce. But the entrees are insanely good. The first words out of my mouth (and my fiancée's) after we took our first bites were "Oh my god"... it's that good!

On tge door was a note saying we needed a reservation. Then a gentleman came to tge door and advised no one was there. Just as we were leaving a young woman opened the door and asked us to come in. We were brought to a table. No way to say this but the table cloth was dirty. We removed it and shook it out and turned it over. Our server came over and advised they didn't have three items on the menu, but she wouldn't tell us what they were. She called it menu roulette. When asked for a wine list she said the selection was limited to a couple whites and reds. The mail order didn't come in. Considering we were the only ones there for tge first 45 minutes, then another couple came in, service was slow. Our Ceasars salad took almost an hour. Entrees were almost 90 minutes. They were good but slow. If you read this Chef this was our worst experience. I hope this is an aberration, it didn't seem that way. Good luck

My husband ordered the ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely amazing. We split it but the first thing we noticed it was huge. The sandwich was served on Cuban bread that they bake fresh themselves, and it was some of the best bread I've ever had; light, flaky, perfectly golden brown, and incredibly fresh. Every ingredient tasted fresh and homemade, including real eggs cooked to order, not the processed "fake" eggs you find in so many places. Be sure to save room for one of their homemade pastries. Like the bread, everything is baked in-house, and you can taste the care that goes into every bite. The coffee was equally impressive; rich, smooth, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with breakfast and kept me coming back for more. What really sets LJ's Café apart, though, is the atmosphere. This is a true mom-and-pop establishment where family and friends work together. From the moment you walk into the small storefront, you're welcomed like family. The service is warm, genuine, and makes you feel right at home. And here's an added bonus for Florida travelers: the air conditioning is fantastic! After visiting several places in Marathon, we definitely appreciated being able to enjoy our meal in a cool, comfortable environment. I can't rave enough about this wonderful spot. If you're passing through Marathon, make sure your schedule allows for breakfast or lunch because those are the only hours they're open. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Our server, Merlon, truly elevated the experience. He was friendly, courteous, attentive, and offered some excellent recommendations. The French Dip was absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. Every bite was satisfying, and the service was just as impressive as the food. A cozy café, delicious food, and exceptional hospitality are a winning combination. Merlon, thank you for taking such great care of us! I'll definitely be back soon to explore more of the menu. On our first visit, they were practically out of their pastries at 11am on a SUNDAY. So we only had their coffee. I was blown away on how good it was. They really know what they're doing. Service was a bit off putting. I was standing at the register and the workers were talking amongst themselves non chalantly. Their coffee though merited enough for a second visit. This time they were actively baking and bringing out pastries. We enjoyed their coffee and had some pastries. This time a lady took my order and she was super friendly. Croissant: perfect. Flaky. Soft. Almond chocolate croissant: my bf had this one. It had chocolate and some kind of almond filling inside. He loved it! I'm pretty vanilla so I thought it was okay. Like I said, I'll be happy to support this business when we come and visit biscayne. See you soon!
