We ordered Morita's for breakfast and headed to 7 mile bridge and enjoyed a picnic brunch! Perfect choice. The breakfast tacos were delicious and I loved the quesadilla that I ordered with shredded chicken and sweet plantains. The side of sour cream in a cute little cup was a perfect topper. I also got a cafe con leche that was incredible. Can't resist a Cuban coffee!! I ordered to go and went next door to grab some souvenirs from the salon next door while I waited for my food. When I came back the gals in the kitchen were singing and then chatting with me. I had heard that this place was not to be missed and that it is a cute family owned place with great service and I couldn't agree more! This cafe is a tiny slice of heaven. My girlfriend and I got coffee and breakfast here this morning and absolutely loved it. FAR better then "The Morning Joint" next door. Also reasonable pricing! The ladies working inside were extremely polite and nice to talk to while asking about menu options. They even brought our food out to us. You order inside the small storefront and eat outside at one of the tables with a nice view. The coffee was strong but fantastic and exactly what she was hoping for, while I enjoyed one of the "jupina" pineapple sodas. We ordered the Cuban breakfast with chicken and breakfast tacos with bacon. Needless to say there were no leftovers. We will be coming here for now on when we come down. read more

Went here for breakfast and it did not disappoint! It's a family-owned business, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast burrito was hands down the best I've had in a long time. perfectly made and packed with flavor. The quesadilla was also amazing, my picky teenager devoured it without a single complaint. We also tried the guava juice, which was freshly made and absolutely delicious. Cuban sandwich was packed with a lot of meat even Manolo from Scarface would be proud. Just FYI the seating is outdoors. I didn't check that before but it was not a big deal at all. Great little place just off the side of the highway to get some homemade Cuban food. Food is made fresh with daily changing menu to keep things interesting. Great flavor and hefty portions. I just had the Cuban sandwich which was excellent -- perfectly pressed with a nice crunch and all the classic flavors. What made it stand out was the house aïoli, which added just the right amount of richness without taking away from the sandwich. Definitely one I'd come back for. Prices extremely reasonable. Dios mio! Delicioso. You won't want to miss this small hole in the wall - they're so much more than that. Absolutely wonderful lovingly prepared Cuban classics with fabulous friendly hospitality that might remind you of home. I sort of felt like I was asking mom to make us lunch. Loving, doting people. Yes, they take credit cards. Yes they might could be out of this or that, they're small, but hey, that's just going to make you want to come back some other time. I'm sure of it. 100% recommend. Stop here. Don't second guess. It seems small and a bit of a hole In the wall but there is something magical that happens in that kitchen that sets this place apart from anything else in the area. Literally everything that came out of the kitchen was complimented by me or one or the other patrons. We ordered at the counter which was literally small enough to be part of the kitchen and sat outside under the deck at a picnic table. There were others there and we weren't immediately sure we made a great choice but one by one people who finished re-approached the ordering counter and complimented the food. The anticipation grew and it culminated in a symphony of delicious satisfaction. This is where you want to stop on your way into key west. It's better than anything we had in our time in New west proper and came with off key prices. We got two meals, two drinks, and dessert for under $30 and it was the highlight of our trip. read more

We stopped by on our way from Key West back to Miami and had a delicious lunch here. It's a tiny place but don't let that fool you! The food was excellent, and the customer service was pleasant and welcoming. The portions were great for the price; much more reasonable than what you'd find in Key West and it's not that far away. Do yourself a favor and check it out! I had the Cuban Sandwich and my significant other chose the special. The Cuban was excellent - it was my first time trying one and it may have been one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever eaten. It was a big sandwich full of flavor; the sauces were so impressive. The chips that came with it were okay but a little stale and didn't really do anything (maybe offer small bags of chips instead of a handful of chips from a large bag?) I would HIGHLY recommend the Cuban Sandwich. The special was good as well; it consisted of pulled pork, rice, beans, and potatoes. Super filling and a lot of food. The pulled pork was really nice; not covered in sauce but seasoned really well. Moritas Cuban Café is worth a stop! Just make sure you have cash - it's cash only. read more

Masks need to cover the nose. No gloves and direct food contact. The Cuban sandwich was slightly better than a Subway foot long. Comes with potato stix (yes, the junk food version). Nice people but they are not able to handle Covid or a lunch rush. read more

The online waitlist initially estimated a 60-75 minute wait, not an issue, had a cocktail upstairs and really wnjoyed ourselves. When we checked in, we were told we were next eventhough thebonline portal told us to come. After waiting another 15 minutes, we were told our table was just being cleaned and to wait where we were. A few minutes later, another employee told us we had to move because a different party was holding the door open, so we ended up standing behind the bar with our backs against the wall. It just felt awkward and disorganized. When we were finally seated in the back room, we thought it would be nice since it was quieter, but it was extremely hot. I'm usually the person who is always cold, yet I was sweating through dinner. Service also left a lot to be desired. The food runner handed our hot dinner plates directly to us instead of placing them on the table. I was sitting at the opposite end of the table from him, so I had to reach out and take a hot plate. I even asked if it was hot, and he still practically dropped it into my hands. I had burned my fingers earlier that day, so it hurt!!.. but it was that or drop my pasta!? Our server also repeatedly reached across guests' faces to clear plates instead of walking around the table. At one point my sister didn't even realize she was there until an arm reached in front of her, which was awkward. To make matters worse, two of our dinners arrived about seven minutes before the remaining meals, so part of our table was left waiting while the others' food got cold. We asked for grated Parmesan for our two PASTA dishes. No one mentioned there would be a charge. It took another six minutes to arrive, and when the bill came we discovered we had been charged $2 per serving. We asked for two servings, but three were brought to the table--and we were charged for all three. Six minutes may not sound like much, but after already waiting for the rest of the meals, another delay while watching our server take new tables' orders instead of bringing the cheese felt frustrating. To end on a positive note, three of the meals were good. My mother-in-law really enjoyed the grilled wahoo, my husband liked the BBQ mac and cheese, and my sister liked the fried artichoke. Overall, it wasn't one major issue--it was a series of small service problems that added up and made for a disappointing experience. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.
