Has that whole in the wall feel. Menu is pretty straight forward, food is a blend of Cuban and Mexican; typical key west. But flavor profiles were on point. I'd go again for breakfast. Price was really good for key west standards. Service was also good, no complaints there.

Great coffee! Exactly the breakfast foods we were craving. Would definitely come back

Can't come to Key West without stopping in to get some of the best tacos on the island at Garbo's…read more It's always just been a food truck but they now have a small patio seating area next to Hanks Hair of the Dog bar. We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

I am giving Garbo's Grills four stars overall. The food was solid and tasty, and it hit the spot…read morefor what I was craving. While it was enjoyable, nothing really stood out as extraordinary or memorable. The menu had a good variety, and the service was friendly enough, making it a comfortable place to stop for a casual meal. The atmosphere was straightforward and unpretentious, which made it easy to enjoy a quick bite without any fuss. Portions were reasonable, and prices were fair for the quality of food. Overall, it is a dependable spot for a casual meal when you are nearby, even if it does not leave a lasting impression. It is worth visiting if you are in the area and looking for something simple and satisfying.

Loved it! It's probably the only Mexican restaurant in key west you can get molé sauce!!…read more We got a sopé for appetizer which was small but delicious. My entree was chicken enchiladas with mole sauce , loved it! The refried beans were a little bland, but otherwise the food was great. Also the prices are great! BYOB , I didn't realize this and which I brought a bottle of wine or some mixed margaritas. I'll be back and will remember this for next time! Very cute decorations inside, there's tables or booths. Service was great. Can't wait to come back!

Excellent. The opening salsa was fresh and tasty. Not overly spicy but bursting with flavor…read more The chicken mole was the the thing of the day - everyone seemed to be ordering it, so I went with the flow. The flavor was excellent and the chicken very, very tender. I also ordered the Chile Releno because that's what I do. I went with only cheese. They do have a steak and cheese option. It was extra large and packed. The egg batter was thick. Lots of city workers and locals chilling out. All were very happy. The music plays and laughter filled the air. The staff is excellent, a little erratic on speaking English or not. The server was very attentive. I stumbled into El Molcajete on the walk back from fishing all morning. I was unable to finish it all and will have leftovers later. I'm glad I dropped on and will be back.
