Delightful. Off the main "drag". Excellent Cuban mix sandwich (we excluded the Salami). Sincerely fire coffee.

This was the best spot we found during our stay. So much so that we ate breakfast here twice and dinner once! Everything here was amazing. The owner was so friendly and helpful. These were the best carnitas I've ever eaten.

My husband and I came to Key West for vacation, and this morning we were looking for a place for brunch and Cuban coffee. We found this place and we are so glad that we decided to dine here! We loved the Cuban coffee, breakfast burrito, and the Cuban sandwich! Everything was so delicious, and we had such a good time.

We stopped in for lunch and share the tacos con al pastor and a Cuban sandwich. A great meal and the tacos were by far better than the sandwich. But I'd recommend both if you are hungry. We also ordered a couple of iced Cuban mocacinnos which were fine but needed more ice! They do have table service or you can order at the counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a quaint little place but was enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Simply Amazing! Everything is so fresh. The customer service was outstanding! The food was amazingly delectable. The Cortadito was made to perfection!. This is a must try if you're in Key West!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We discovered this cute lil cafe while getting a little lost while walking in Key West.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is more than a cafe and has a HUGE variety of meals. After eating some not so great items in the touristy area, I wish I had room in my stomach to try some of the awesome food at this place. This may be an odd complaint but I kinda wish their menu was smaller. We got a couple of cuban coffees and an Orange and Melon drink. When we visit Key West in the future, we will be sure to make this one of our first places to visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]There's limited seating, but we were able to get a table on a Tuesday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our favorite thing was their homemade salsa verde which is served with their Tostones (side) and Empanadas!

Mexican chorizo empanada with salsa verde

Empanada was flavorful and crispy without being too doughy. Homemade salsa verde was a great add too

Breakfast burrito

I'm still thinking about this breakfast burrito!! One of the best I've had for sure! We stopped in one morning while waiting for our laundry to finish. It was so hot but the a/c was amazing. The restaurant was clean and had lots of Cuban themed decorations and pictures to look at. Our server was very nice and quick with water and a passion fruit mimosa- delicious! My fiancé and I shared the sausage breakfast burrito. It was wonderful. The green sauce on the side was amazing and I loved the red sauce. Stop here if you are looking for a great breakfast and great people!

We visited Key West Cuban Coffee after an audible from Moondog (25 min wait) for a late morning breakfast. There was no wait and we split a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito with a hot black coffee and an iced latte. The burrito was delicious, with the chorizo having more of a ground beef texture than the cased sausage chorizo we've had at other restaurants in KW. The spice level of the meat and salsa was excellent and the salsa verde complemented the dish. The only complaint was from my girlfriend who ordered an iced latte which tasted a bit burnt upon receipt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was music playing over the speakers inside at a nice volume level.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was also a set of drums for live music at different times. The prices were a bit higher than our regular breakfast spot but the burrito was more substantial. We would visit again as a nice change of pace from Cuban Coffee Queen.

Fresh Catch of the day tacos
Kyli W.

Hands down best tacos on Key West! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a super small place so they probably can't do larger parties but it was perfect for two![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only complaint I have is there were two really large pieces of fat in the Tacos Al Pastor which was not great. But the flavor was AMAZING! They even had an amazing habanero sauce - we love spicy! We will be coming back every visit!

Amazing service and the ceviche was so good and acidic. Shrimp tasted very fresh as well, and tostones were crispy. 10/10

Our research told us that this would be a great meal and it truly was. I ordered the pork chunks, which were perfectly fried and so flavorful and tender on the inside. My wife ordered Ropa Vieja which was pulled beef, which wasn't as good, but still quite tasty. Had to bring food back home with us, which we ate for various snacks before we departed. Fast food and a nice hidden gem in the town. Glad we had this kick off our trip.

The restaurant is tucked away on a back street, far from the usual tourist spots, which adds to its charm. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.

This…read morerestaurant offers plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, and parking is easy thanks to the large public lot right next door. The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. If there's one dish I highly recommend, it's the churrasco (skirt steak) served with rice, beans, and sweet plantains. The steak was incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. If you're wondering what to order, get the churrasco--you won't regret it. Amazing service! The restaurant itself has a fun atmosphere with beautiful Cuban-inspired décor throughout the dining room that adds to the experience. They also serve Hatuey, a Cuban-style lager brewed by Bacardí, which pairs perfectly with the meal and is worth trying if you've never had it before. From the delicious food to the welcoming atmosphere and convenient location, El Meson de Pepe delivers a fantastic Cuban dining experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting Key West, this is a restaurant that deserves a spot on your itinerary. Highly recommended!
