The Colada
Nathan M.

My wife and we're looking for a coffee before watching the sunset in Mallory Square, so we stopped by Lucy's. They had many good food options which looked great, but we had recently eaten so only got to try the coffee. I had a Colada, which is like a super concentrated espresso and my wife got an Americano. Both were fantastic. As we sat in the very small and hidden away shop, the woman was back cooking some food on what looked to be a conventional home cooktop. Very mom and pop vibe. Next time we are in KW we will be sure to go by Lucy's for a meal.

Lobster roll. Cold lots of mayo and "bun" is buttered bread

Not much seating area, no alcohol. Hole in the wall tucked away like many other restaurants but very good. Chips are plantain chips

Food was fresh and delicious! Cute little spot with outdoor seating. Service was fast and friendly.

Inside view of Lucy's. Very quaint.

Don't expect inexpensive here. Two of us ate lunch for 54.00 before tip. Ordered lobster roll and pork and shrimp tacos (2 each). Sweet worker took our order and helped us figure the menu out. Only two tables to sit at with four chairs each and a small bar with 5 seats. One table is outside, one table is inside. Picture of 'courtyard' attached. Tacos were much tastier than the lobster roll to me and much cheaper! Worth visiting while in KW!

Lobster sandwich

Hear me out: At first, the lobster roll felt overpriced, served on what looked like store-bought toasted white bread. But one bite changed everything: it was 80% perfectly cooked, sweet lobster and just 20% bread. It was SO GOOD AND FILLING. It was so flavorful I'm convinced I'll remember that taste years from now. The fish tacos were equally impressive: freshly caught that morning, light, citrusy. The service was warm and genuine, and the atmosphere brought it all together: laid-back but artful, with cool decor ranging from Picasso prints to playful nautical touches. The whole place just worked--the food, the people, the vibe.

Cuban mix so delicious!

Fantastic and so so fresh! The suisse enchiladas are simply amazing. The Cuban mix is delicious and has little extra touches that really make it stand out in a town of a million Cuban mixes. This place is a hidden gem. Shop local! Ps- you can go around the corner and grab a beer if needed:)

Hidden gem, great service and price! Authentic taste and menu. This little cafe has outdoor seating tucked away in the streets of Key west. I would definitely come back if I was down in the keys again.

The best tacos...especially the incredibly flavorful Al Pastor. Been there a couple times in just a four day stay.

I wish we found them sooner. The coffee and guava with cheese pastry was delicious. Small open air cafe with a couple of tables outside.

Can't come to Key West without stopping in to get some of the best tacos on the island at Garbo's…read more It's always just been a food truck but they now have a small patio seating area next to Hanks Hair of the Dog bar. We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

While it was enjoyable, nothing really stood out as extraordinary or memorable. The menu had a good variety, and the service was friendly enough, making it a comfortable place to stop for a casual meal. The atmosphere was straightforward and unpretentious, which made it easy to enjoy a quick bite without any fuss. Portions were reasonable, and prices were fair for the quality of food. Overall, it is a dependable spot for a casual meal when you are nearby, even if it does not leave a lasting impression. It is worth visiting if you are in the area and looking for something simple and satisfying.
