Stopped by for a quick bite with my son before Kino's for shoes. Ordered the chicken quesadilla and fries for my son, and a medium Dulce con leche coffee for myself. The fries come out made to order and be forewarned they are HOT. They come with ketchup packets but the flavor is so good you don't need anything else. My son ate his quesadilla but as expected, got full (hence why this mother knew not to order any food for herself). I had the last piece of chicken quesadilla with the accompanying guacamole that had a perfect blend of tomato, onion and avocado. My dulce con leche coffee was also pretty good but not the best I've had though I'd recommend if you're in the mood for coffee. Easily a hole in the wall you'd miss if not looking for it and glad we stopped in. $30 for a chicken quesadilla, fries and coffee seems a bit steep but I guess it's to be expected in Key West read more

I'm trying to do my entire 5 day stay in Key West without eating at anything named Bubba Gumps. So I'm leaning on Yelp as always for good local spots. My wife and we're looking for a coffee before watching the sunset in Mallory Square, so we stopped by Lucy's. They had many good food options which looked great, but we had recently eaten so only got to try the coffee. I had a Colada, which is like a super concentrated espresso and my wife got an Americano. Both were fantastic. As we sat in the very small and hidden away shop, the woman was back cooking some food on what looked to be a conventional home cooktop. Very mom and pop vibe. Don't expect inexpensive here. Two of us ate lunch for 54.00 before tip. Ordered lobster roll and pork and shrimp tacos (2 each). Sweet worker took our order and helped us figure the menu out. Hear me out: At first, the lobster roll felt overpriced, served on what looked like store-bought toasted white bread. But one bite changed everything: it was 80% perfectly cooked, sweet lobster and just 20% bread. It was SO GOOD AND FILLING. It was so flavorful I'm convinced I'll remember that taste years from now. The fish tacos were equally impressive: freshly caught that morning, light, citrusy. The service was warm and genuine, and the atmosphere brought it all together: laid-back but artful, with cool decor ranging from Picasso prints to playful nautical touches. Fantastic and so so fresh! The suisse enchiladas are simply amazing. The Cuban mix is delicious and has little extra touches that really make it stand out in a town of a million Cuban mixes. 10/10 I've tried almost every place in key west and Lucy's cafe is definitely in my top 3 brunch spots. I have very high standards for food but luckily they go above and beyond here and very generous with the food. - steak burrito was my favorite, they add a lot of veggies to it which i love and the salsa verde was the cherry on top. -conch fritters was one of the best i've tried in key west, and their sauces were phenomenal. -pork tacos were great with the sauce and pico. read more

Hidden gem. It was close to our hotel so we went in to grab something simple. I had the crabmeat sandwich. It was delicious on a croissant roll and came with a side of coleslaw and plantain chips.
