If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. This has been one of the most disappointing and upsetting experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. On Saturday night, I ate a shrimp quesadilla here, and by Sunday morning I was violently sick. I had nonstop vomiting and severe liquid diarrhea for hours, couldn't keep down even tiny sips of water or Pedialyte, and the cramping became so intense I could barely stand or walk without help. Things got so bad that by Sunday evening I ended up in the emergency room due to extreme dehydration. I needed IV fluids, medications, and hours of treatment. I was vomiting bile, hyperventilating, extremely weak, and dealing with muscle tingling and cramping from how dehydrated my body became. What makes me the most angry is that food poisoning is NOT something minor, especially when seafood is involved. Situations like this can become life-threatening, and restaurants should understand the seriousness and responsibility that comes with serving food safely. Nobody should go out to eat and end up in the hospital less than 24 hours later. Now I'm left dealing with recovery, stress, and expensive medical bills from an experience that should never have happened in the first place. I genuinely hope this restaurant immediately takes a serious look at its food handling and safety practices before someone else goes through something even worse. Lastly, if it were up to me, this place should be shut down until they can guarantee proper food safety standards. I will also be looking into taking legal action because nobody should have to go through something like this from simply going out to eat. read more

Terrible customer service experience. The four of us were looking for a break from walking around, so I told the hostess that we just wanted to grab drinks and maybe some appetizers, not at bar. We were seated at a table, and the waitress was initially very friendly and asked for our order. We said we'd just have drinks for now. However, she then asked us if we wanted to move to the bar. We declined, but one of our party members asked if they had chicken wings. The waitress said no, and then she immediately went to the hostess. They discussed us, pointed at us, ready to move us. We just got up and left, but on our way out, they were rude and said, "Have a nice day." In an extremely snarky tone. I had been to this place years ago and wasn't impressed, but this really made a worse impression. As a multi-business owner, I would fire this waitress and not make judgments based on her prediction of making lack of money. Went to Foggartys on a Wednesday night with a party of 3. Its outside on the corner in a very lively area. You can sit and ppl watch and listen to the live music across the street. There was a parking lot pretty close by with paid parking. The place wasnt too busy when we got there. We started of with the tex mex rolls as our appetizer. They were so good. Very fresh and flavorful. I got the Philly chicken with fries. The other ppl in my party got the ribs which they really enjoyed. The Philly chicken was really good. It was well seasoned. Not salty. The fries though, were fried hard and seemed like they had been sitting out for a while before it got to me. The waitress did bring me some more fries and although they were hot, they were still fried way too hard to the point where they were brown, so I definitely didnt eat them. We also tried the baklava cheesecake. Coincidentally, I had tried baklava for the first time 3 weeks prior which I enjoyed. So I decided to give the baklava cheesecake a try. It was actually pretty tasty. Although my friends had never had baklava before, they also enjoyed the cheesecake. This place was right next to our inn and we had walked by it a bunch of times before deciding to peek in and try it. So glad we did! Our server Sara was fantastic. She was the perfect blend of chatting-with-an-old-friend meets professional waitress. Genuinely talkative friendliness that knew when to leave us to our drinks and food. It's the best kind of server! Another thing I have her to thank for is the tip on the frozen drinks... they use real fruit! SO delicious. I needed some ruffage and have a weak spot for Asian salads... and now I've gone and done it because this was one of the best I've ever had and I can't exactly order it for delivery to Texas! There are many restaurant-bars along Duval Street but Fogarty's seemed a bit better and it was. We sat outside and our waitress came by right away. She was pleasant and efficient. Ok, my son is complaining that I give too many 5 star reviews, but I tell him that I just pick great places to eat. In the past I generally bypass Fogarty's and just grab a Frozen Rum Rummer for the walk down Duval, but this time I was with a friend and we decided to grab a bite. This is a very casual place with overhead umbrellas and plastic chairs. Not fine dining, but we really enjoyed the whole experiences. The host was very friendly and accommodating when we asked for a table on the porch. The waiter was also very friendly and attentive. One of the managers or owners came by several times with a smile to make sure all was good. It was actually great. This was lunch so I ordered a Frozen Rum Runner and my friend ordered a home brewed Ive Tea. I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad and she ordered a Chicken Cobb Salad. I have to say, they were really great. If I had one suggestion it would be to go a little lighter on the dressing or serve it on the side, but that is just personal preference. Best mahi mahi on the island! The service is great. The dining is all outside, and the birds take advantage of that. There are signs not to feed the birds but the dodos still feed them, people not the extinct birds. So you do have a little bit of shooing away you have to do. Everything about this visit was amazing. We didn't have a clue where to eat when we got to Key West for our quick overnight. We ended up at Fogarty's and it was the best decision ever. We ended up with koozie drinks, which we refilled twice. Our food was out of this world. I had steak medallions and my husband had a shrimp sandwhich. Had it not been such a long walk from the car the next day, we would have eaten there again. Now, while we were there, a customer tried getting her food for free. She said it tasted spoiled, yet continued eating it. How the manager, Ryan, handled it was amazing and how all customers trying to get free food should handle it. He brought the invoice showing that it was fresh seafood. The customer proceeded to call him a cuss word as he was walking away. He turned around, picked up her plate, tasted it to confirm it was good. Said he would take it off her bill and she needed to pay for her drinks immediately and leave. He didn't need someone treating staff as she was. Even her friends agreed with his response to her. She made sure he knew that she would be reaching out to his boss. Our first night in Key West, and we picked Fogartys for dinner. Upon arrival, we were amazed at the beautiful atmosphere. We only had maybe a 10 min wait for a table. Tons of outdoor seating, lights, trees, great ambiance. We were seated up on the porch and loved all the people watching! Apparently, they are known for frozen drinks, so I had to order a miami vice! For appetizers, we had the conch fritters (when in Key West), which was a first for all of us, and we all enjoyed them! So much live music from every restaurant along Duval St was pulling our attention as we pondered hard on where to go for dinner. But the bops here ultimately drew us in. Unfortunately, only their drinks were good. All their cocktails came frozen, and I got the Miami Vice, which was pina colada and strawberry daiquiri. I had to question myself twice on if they added ice cream in it, cause it was so creamy. Their Pecan Catch ($29) sounded like a catch, and while the fish was deliciously unique, with the way honeyed pecans coat the fish, the rice and vegetables had no love to them, like they were simply steamed and thrown in to take up space. That is an expensive $29 fish. The outside ambiance and lively music was fantastic, but I would just get something less pricey next time to make up for the lack in quality. read more

It is nice frozen drink. We have conch fritters as an appetizer. I think the conch has good chunk but quantity of conch is not there. My main dish is the Caribbean steak. And just left cash for my bill. As I didn't want to wait on the busy server to process and return a credit card. But overall. As expected.
