We were visiting Key West for the first time and happened upon this lovely restaurant while looking for a special place to celebrate our birthday lunch--and what a delightful find! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and customer service were superb. The restaurant is quaint and welcoming. Our server, David, was absolutely fantastic! He was kind, patient, attentive, and incredibly efficient. His warmth and fun personality made our dining experience memorable. It was truly a joy! And, of course, the food was excellent! My bestie and I enjoyed the calamari, Basin Broiled Oysters, Key Lime pie, Bloody Marys, and Mimosas. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully prepared. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this delightful restaurant to anyone visiting Key West. I got the spicy seafood combo and the blackened Mahi with the spicy cocktail dipping sauce was freaking delicious! Fried Buffalo shrimp was superb and the scallops in the marinara sauce.... Now, let's just say I'm not a fan of marinara sauce, but the spicy definitely made me like it More! The dill sauce that was by the mashed potatoes and I was dipping them on was fantastic! My husband got the shellfish combo. They said the lobster was perfectly cooked, and he is currently inhaling the snow crab. Legs, and I can't even see the shrimp on the plate anymore. BLUF: delicious food with friendly service Went with a very large group on a weekday night. They accommodated all of us, and the waiters really had to hussle, I can tell you that. To a person everyone enjoyed their food. They have a seafood platter that is a very generous portion of fish, scallops, and shrimp that was delicious. Highly recommend. Also got a side of steamed mussels: wow, they were nice meaty mussels in a delicious wine sauce that was perfect for dipping the two pieces of cheesy toast that come with it. They have a virgin version of most of their cocktails, and i can highly recommend the virgin mango daquiri. Key lime pie for dessert was delicious. Omelette was just so so. Way too much cheddar cheese. Has brown wasn't crispy and had way too much cheddar cheese too. Service was just okay. When you're in the Florida Keys, seafood is the order of the day. Two Friends Patio certainly came through. It was pretty crowded at lunchtime but they were on point getting orders to tables. I had the Key West Sampler which has mahi-mahi, shrimp, and conch fritters. I loved them all but the shrimp was shell on. No big deal though. I'm adaptable. My wife had a burger which she enjoyed and my mother had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta which she finished so she obviously enjoyed it. Definitely a place I would recommend. read more

We enjoyed this restaurant SO MUCH that we returned for a second night. Our group of 7 were seated immediately on the covered outdoor patio and also thrilled to be able to request our same waiter from a prior visit a day or two prior. You cannot beat the deal for their specialty of pink shrimp. We did the peel and eat to our hearts' content and it's accompanied by lemon wedges, cocktail sauce, and plenty of wet wipes. Leaving Key West tomorrow so we had to get another Key West Pinks fix before going because they are that good. They're perfectly cooked and huge and have a very firm chew with Old Bay seasoning dipped in butter and then cocktail sauce. Stopped here based on local recommendations for late lunch. Located 2 blocks away from touristy spots..has live music from local artists. Service was pleasant and quickly seated. Plenty of seating indoors as well as large outdoor patio. Ordered their lunch special Cajun shrimp pasta..which was creamy and tasty and good portion. My friend and I showed up on a Sunday night at about 8 pm, after some deliberation about whether the kitchen was closed or not with the waiter, we were seated quickly near the little makeshift stage. A performer was singing some classic American tunes with his guitar. We ordered the seafood pasta, a side of broccoli, and a 1/2 lb of stone crabs. Everything was exactly as one would want it. This is one of the oldest places in key west, starting in 1886! We came here for breakfast one morning and even though they were pretty busy, we were able to get seated right away. We had the best Irish breakfast shots we've found in the keys! The food was very good, I got the eggs Benedict and my fiance got the smoked salmon. Large portions and very delicious. Had the best Irish breakfast shots in key west out of the places we tried. Thier whiskey was amazing and the shots were huge! The staff were all friendly and helped with some recommendation. We got the crab cake Benedict and the smoked salmon and eggs. Both were great and the portions were plenty large enough. Price for the meal was a bit on the higher side, we spent close to $115 for two meals, two shots and two mimosas. But this is one of the oldest restaurants in the keys though so it is worth the visit. They must be doing something right to be around since 1886. read more

This was the first restaurant I tried on my trip to the Keys. The atmosphere was pretty nice. Since the entire restaurant is outdoors. Upon entry, to the right is a stage. There was a woman performing her music and doing covers. Which was a nice touch. We were seated and the waitress took our order. She was nice and greeted us with a beautiful smile and goood energy. There were pigeons that would fly in and o see how it's a possible nuisance to the staff. One woman came out with a squirter to get the birds to leave. Although this may be the best way for them, some of the guests were also getting sprayed. Aside from that the food was great. I was married to a Bahamian and learned to make conch fritters. I gave this location a try and it was more breaded the conchy. The drinks were delicious and the waitress brought out a piece of key lime pie for my son who had turned 15 that day. I was in town for a Bachelorette trip with 11 other girls...yes 11 other women...that's 12 in all, but it was amazing and Two Friends was able to accommodate us well and ensure we had a great time! The bride is a huge fan of Bloody Mary's and I saw that this place has the best voted Bloody Mary's in Key West so we knew this was a place we needed to visit. We had a group dinner here on the Saturday night of our trip. The Maid of Honor was able to call and make reservations for our table of 12. Upon arrival we checked in and were seated fairly quickly. The restaurant is mostly a patio and also has a full bar. We were sat towards the back of the restaurant and the owner stopped by our table to say "Hello" a little after we ordered a round of drinks. He was so sweet and friendly and eager to make sure we had a great time. He congratulated the bride, informed us that karaoke was starting soon, insisted the bride and a few of us sing karaoke with him, and even brought us a round of drinks. He was so sweet and fun and had the most amazing charismatic personality. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. You could tell that this place is a place you come and immediately feel at home. For my meal I ordered the Linguine and Clams and it was good, but nothing amazing. For dessert we had to order the Key Lime Pie and of course it was delicious! We sang karaoke and had a blast! When we were leaving I caught a glance at the breakfast menu and since we had later afternoon flights home the next day we were able to go back for breakfast Sunday morning. We came here for brunch and really enjoyed the ambience. The food was average, but the portions were quite large. I ordered the two egg breakfast with the potato bites, which were very bland. The alcoholic drinks are on the expensive side, but this is expected in this area near the port of cruise ship. This was our first breakfast and on vacation and we went here after our top choice had an hour long wait. Two Friends Patio was also busy, but we got one of the last few tables. Our server was polite, but a bit stretched during the breakfast rush -- it took 20 minutes to get my first coffee, which was mediocre after all. In her defense, she was friendly and attentive when she made it by our table. The food was good, but not amazing. My daughter's chocolate chip pancakes were wildly good. My son had a breakfast plate with hard boiled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage links, which was typical. My wife had crab cake benedict and loved it. My omelette was fine, but the eggs were way overcooked. I wish they buttered the toast, but they came out dry and lightly toasted. Mahi mahi tacos: 3.5 stars. with side salad and broccoli. These were pretty big. Good amt of fish. I didn't care for the cheese on top. The tacos could use a sauce for some flavor though. Fried mahi mahi: (to go) I didn't get to taste this but my little one ate the big piece of fried fish for 2 days. Side of broccoli:3.5 stars. Tasted good flavor wise. Just over cooked. This marina-adjacent cafe provided the last hit of Stone Crab we were seeking. As with all the Keys restaurants we tried the Key Lime pie and Key Lime Martini too. Stone crab was terrific although not offered on lunch menu, we had to ask for it. Owners: consider advertising it's availability at both lunch and dinner? It was excellent. Fries tasty. Key lime pie and martini not as tart as we'd like. Detected cinnamon in the crust for those who like that addition. Overall high quality food, average service (we had to ask for things multiple times) and perhaps not the pucker we love with the Key Lime products but still tasty.
