We had breakfast at Sarabeth's in Key West and ordered the Filet Lobster Avocado Benedict. The service was amazing, and the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. The food was just okay for us. I ordered the filet medium/medium-well, but one piece was much too undercooked for me to eat, while another was good. The lobster also had a texture that I personally didn't enjoy. Maybe we simply picked the wrong dish, because overall, we still had a nice experience. I also have to give them credit for the little details -- my 4-year-old daughter got a cup that changes color with the ice, and she thought it was so entertaining! One of my favorite breakfast places. Gives off that neighborhood hideaway feel. Building was built 1889 and was the first synagogue in Florida. Beautiful inside and a lovely patio facing Simonton. Peach mimosa and smoked salmon scrambled eggs with cream cheese today. But the lemon pancakes with blueberries is another of my favs! Come dine in a little piece of history. read more

Ordered this shrimp and grits special based off the reviews I read about how good it was. It's not on the menu but apparently it's a common special they offer. It was good I enjoyed it. Not super flavorful but it was enjoyable. We were a big group for brunch and our server was awesome and so fun. He was really attentive with great energy. Well, we went here for breakfast when we were staying in Key West for a week my wife had heard good things about this place. First day we tried the place was unexpectedly closed to a kitchen issue. We went the next morning and tried it, and it was open a very nice gentleman welcomed us in and it wasn't quite busy yet. My wife and I decided to share eggs Benedict with potatoes and I ordered the extra side of grits wow everything we tasted was excellent. The atmosphere located in a quaint, historic house is also fantastic. I recommend this place for breakfast in a laid-back experience The host and waitstaff take great care of you and are very polite and nice. Geri was a great server! The food here is outstanding. You will definitely not leave hungry. Outstanding flavor of the grits, homemade strawberry jam and the biggest cup of coffee you have ever seen. The ham was nice and thick but it was cold, still good though. The eggs over medium were cooked a little too fast as the whites were a tad crispy. Holy cow what a yummy brunch! We shared the breakfast trio sampler between two of us with an order of the sweet and spicy millionaire bacon. Absolutely delicious and paired it with a watermelon mimosa. Very refreshing! Great stop to start our day exploring Duval Street. Service was very attentive. I want to like Sarabeth's, I really do. I've tried it now three times and always left underwhelmed. This morning we stopped by for brunch. My husband ordered the sweet sampler, which the server immediately suggested swapping almost everything out on. Not really a good look. I ordered shrimp tacos and breakfast potatoes. The shrimp tacos were good but had very little shrimp and tons of filler. The potatoes were so salty they were inedible. The service was efficient but not particularly friendly. All in all, for the price, there are far better brunch options in Key West. read more

On an excruciating hot day we decided to have brunch and get out of the sun and were very lucky that we found Sarabeth's. With both indoor and outdoor seating we chose the air conditioned indoor which had very nice tropical feel with bankettes with colorful paintings and pillows making us feel outdoors while cooling indoors. Sarabeth's was so amazing, we ended up going back twice in the same day. We started with breakfast, and it was absolutely outstanding. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It was one of those meals where you immediately know you picked the right place. We dined here 2 days in a row, once for brunch and the second time for lunch. LUNCH IS WAY BETTER. There wasn't as many brunch options and the portions were so small. Never in my life have I ordered eggs Benedict and when it arrived in front of me I thought to myself, "where's the rest of it!?" But the mimosa flavors are unique and different. The blueberry muffin was the best I've ever had! My wife enjoyed her lemon ricotta pancakes. Service was good. We were greeted right away, had water ordered and our order was taken promptly. This is the perfect Key West breakfast spot. Although it's kind of small, the high ceilings and table spacing don't make you feel cramped. Nicolas provided awesome service and was very knowledgable about the menu, he provided excellent recommendations. The food was delicious. I tried - Lobster Spinach Omelette - Generous amount of fresh lobster and avocado. I think there was also spinach in here as well as a delicious light tomato based sauce. This was very flavorful. I loved that it came with a blueberry muffin as well, which was a nice sweet contrast to the savory omelette. This isn't on their menu, it was a special. 5/5 ($28) Their coffee was exceptionally good as well. I also tried their surf and turf Benedict which was tasty. Mimosas were good but on the pricey side.
