Stone Crab Claws and a drink. Best way to start.

You must come here when you visit Key West. Please make reservations and try to check the sunset times as the view is spectacular. The service was above and beyond. Victor made sure all of needs were take care of. His recommendation for the Stone crab was on-point. The entire staff made sure to make our 23 rd Anniversary dinner amazing and they did not rush us at all. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful evening.

The hype is real. What a great experience for lunch on a beautiful Tuesday. Drinks and service very professional as it should be at this price point. Food is excellent. See photos. Boat ride is truly enjoyable as is exploring Sunset Key.

Visit Latitudes for the experience of sunset key - arrive to opal resorts dock at reservation time (make reservations FAR in advance - you must cancel with 48 hours notice so don't book after your first night in key west!). Food was great, but the experience of being in the private beach is just amazing and tranquil. Best view in key west!

Ferry ride to the island was fantastic! Upon arrival we were seated and waited on like royalty (we are by the way) !

It was a wonderful way to spend our 1st Anniversary dinner. Lovely boat ride over to the waterfront restaurant. The walk in was lush with beautiful art. The staff went right to seating us with a beautiful view of the water! (I may have cried a little) I really have the most caring husband ever! Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the drink and menu selections. I food was astounding in flavor and scent. My eyes drank it in before my mouth even touched the fork! So many 'I love yous" were shared and many pics taken. If you are ever able to do this for a meal, definitely do it!!!! See you Soon!

Eating at latitudes was a fun experience. We had a little boat ride out to the island. However, the weather was not conducive of sitting outside, which was a little disappointing. When we first showed up, they gave us a table that had a couple of lounge chairs that were very uncomfortable, but our server was quick to accommodate us and move us to a different table. I had a lobster roll and my wife had a lobster quesadilla. Both were very good-overall a good experience. Our server was also quite accommodating and very pleasant.

Came here to celebrate a birthday brunch for a girlfriend of mine. We were a table of seven. The experience is fun, you take the ferry out and the view is fabulous. The food wasn't really worth it though and was underwhelming. We had some espresso martinis and with the baileys added they were great. I also tried the key lime martini and didn't enjoy it much, I've had better around town. Also the color was very interesting, usually they're like cream colored this one was what the girls called "Saint Patrick's day" green. The menu is small but I ended up ordering the Latitudes Caesar as my meal with blacked grouper on top. The salad with the fish came out to $42. Two out of the seven meals came out wrong. And overall they just didn't impress us in flavor. The service was good though we had Iva and she was attentive. Would I come back? Probably not.

Definitely a dining experience. You'll need to take the complimentary ferry over (unless you're staying at the resort). (And hey -- if you're staying at the resort... wanna buy me a drink?) Anyway, the ferry has an outdoor section and a very well air-conditioned interior section as well. It's just a few minutes over to the Sunset Key dock, but it is very nice to get out on the water and have a sense of arrival. (Note: the return trip is nice as well. I lucked into getting back to the dock just as they were loading up for a run back to Key West, but you may have to wait a bit between trips.) Perhaps this is heretical, but I recommend sitting inside the dining room. A table on the sand may sound romantic, but you're risking bugs, sand in your shoes, heat/rain/various weather items. The view from the dining room is still spectacular and the sunset just as special. The food was very good, if not quite excellent. I had a lobster and crab cake appetizer with a whiskey corn sauce. The sauce had a stronger taste than the seafood. My entree was a grouper with a spicy black bean sauce with yucca fries. That was all well and good, but it also came with a big log of chorizo, which put the dish off balance to me and made it lean very much to the heavy side. Service was pleasant and efficient, just what you would expect at a restaurant of this ilk.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the last 6/7 years-- pictures included. We had reservations for 20 mar 2026. We called to make a change and ensure a table where we usually sit. The girl who answered the phone --- after several days of trying-- was incredibly rude! This is a SURE SIGN that the customer service has declined drastically. This leads us to believe that the food has most likely declined as well.

Ambiance was so intimate and beautiful - we went at sunset as a large group for a bachelorette and had amazing service. I tried the snapper, it melted in your mouth. The price was very reasonable considering how nice of a restaurant it is and included the ferry ride over. It felt like a unique experience going to an island for dinner.

Latitudes gave us an absolute perfect night out- there is nothing like the ambience sitting right on the water, watching the Key West Sunset, while enjoying fantastic food and service. The key like pie was incredible, all of our entrees were delicious.

My birthday dinner here was a disappointment. I really don't understand what the hype is about. The best part is the view from the dock and the restaurant since it is on an island (Sunset Key) that you have to take a ferry to. We arrived for the ferry an hour prior to our reservation in hopes that we could start by having drinks at the bar - nope, not allowed. But we enjoyed the sunset from the dock anyways. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed. The service is so so and the food is mid at best. There are much better dining options around Key West. I wouldn't waste my funds eating here again in the future. The consensus at the table for our group of 5 was that it was either overcooked or undercooked (such as with the "roasted" beets that were cold), and the flavors needed refinement. The service could have been better if the runner learned fine dining etiquette and didn't fling our plates on the table so hard and fast. Overall, I gave it two stars simply for the atmosphere. If you are coming for the food - don't waste your money.

Ok let me start off saying the location of this restaurant is amazing, great for a romantic dinner (which we did) if you want it to me intimate DO NOT SIT OUTSIDE!! we sat outside and it was not pleasant for the occasion. This was our 25th anniversary and outside is loud and not intimate. You can make your reservation online and they give you instructions also they ask you whats the occasion (which was nice) I will touch on this later. They give you reservation time. REMEMBER THIS: that time of reservation is your departure for your ferry that takes your to the restaurant. If your late 2 minutes you will be left so make sure you get there at least 10-15 minutes before. Nice ferry ride to Latitudes!! You will be greeted by waiters and manager and make you decide where to sit (sit inside if you want to be relaxed and have a romantic evening) Food is good but comparing with what you have in main land plates seem overpriced. But overall good food nothing to brag about, didnt even take photos of it. Now here is the reason of my THREE STARS! Service Service Service - we were attended by a young man Alex great guy but did not know the menu and also did not offer us any suggestions. I even asked him how long he has been doing this and apparently for quite some time. :/ ok so during our meal asked for an additional glass of wine and did not hear from him until after we ate our food. Family next to us was attended by him and we were ignored. We asked for the check and was not even asked if we wanted any dessert. When he came back he congratulated us for our anniversary. (Kinda late for that) obviously our evening was not ruined by this because we laughed about but why asked for the occasion if you will not be treated for the occasion. All I have to say is I was treated better at a cuban coffee shop called "Cafelito" and el "Siboney" great service and they both greeted us with respect. Would I come back here and test it out? Yes I would but would ask for better service! Thanks for having us but next time if you ask for the occasion just keep it in mind.

Ask the Community - Latitudes - Sunset Key Cottages

    What is the dress code?

While they probably wouldn't say anything about jeans, it is a more upscale venue and the vast majority of customers were dressed more formally (men in dress slacks and shirts, women in dresses or more formal outfits).

    When does the Ferry run?

    Usually every half hour

    Is there a kid's menu?

Not that we saw, however there are lots of options on the breakfast and lunch menus that may work.

Does the restaurant allow wine corkage and if so how much per bottle?

I'm sure they do but I thought the wine pricing was reasonable.

How do you find a dinner reservation? All I ever see available on open table is lunch.

You can call the restaurant directly and ask to be contacted in case there is a cancellation.

We're going in May and after reading lots of reviews I'm thinking maybe just sunset cocktails and desserts here. Does anyone know if they allow that if you have dinner reservations?

I would think so, as they have a really nice bar. I'd suggest calling the restaurant directly as you have to have a reservation to get the water shuttle over to there.

What time reservations to see 815 sunset?

Right now the sun is setting around 6:30/7:00. The boat pick you up at your reservation time so if you want to be seated already I'd suggest a reservation 30min prior to sunset.

Is there a dress code? Or is it Key West casual, all day? We have hotel reservations in April for 10 days. How soon can or should be make Latitude reservations? Thanks!

There's def a dress code - I'd go with beach dressy! I went last year and wore a dress. Reservations usually have to be made about 6 months in advance. If you see something open, take it! We ate at 8pm and were even lucky to get that time. Good luck… Read more

Is your restaurant dog friendly outside?

Hi all, could not get a dinner reservation waited too long. Do they have a nice bar and can we have dinner at the bar or apps at the very least?

Yes, though it's a small bar. But most of the people sitting there are waiting for dinner. And yes, you can eat at the bar. Plus you still get a great sunset view! Enjoy!

    Bar is it good?

The bar is nice, but unless you have reservations at the restaurant or are staying on the property , you can't even get on the ferry to go over to the island. We were waiting with another couple to take the ferry over, and they wanted to get there… Read more

Where do you get the boat to go to latitudes restaurant?

Two questions about the boat ride over: How big is the 'boat'? Ferry, water taxi? My friend gets seasick on certain boats. How long is the ride over to the island? Choppy, smooth ride? Any help is appreciated!

The boat isn't very big but not a small boat either (Ferry) It has seating inside with AC and also outside. I'm guessing 30-40 people. The ride took us about 10 minutes and wasn't choppy at all. We visited in November.

When making reservations should we request to be seated "on the sand" or how do we get the best sunset view seating?

The patio overlooks the water and has a perfect view of the sunset. We were fortunate enough to get the perfect table, right on the hedges at the edge of the patio. If outside seating isn't your thing or if the weather doesn't permit, they do have… Read more

It was a beautiful evening, and we were seated with a lovely view of the waterfront. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we were happy we chose this restaurant. Food: I always enjoy when a restaurant offers a creative and inventive cocktail menu. I won't go into detail on each one, but they were all very good, especially the Spiced Old Fashioned. At our server's suggestion, we ordered a couple of plates of the Grilled Ciabatta Bread. The bread was nicely grilled, and the roasted garlic manchego butter made it especially delicious. I normally try not to fill up on bread, but this was absolutely worth it. We ordered an eclectic mix of small and large plates. Some of the standout dishes included the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Swordfish, and Crab Cake. The Brussels sprouts took top honors, perfectly roasted without being greasy, full of flavor, and complemented by a generous amount of bacon. The one disappointment was the Pork Shank Osso Buco. While it was tender, it was only warm and a bit underseasoned. It was good, but not great, especially for someone who enjoys pork shank dishes. We saved room for dessert, and they were all crowd pleasers. My personal favorite was the Cuban Bread Pudding. The Chocolate Pistachio Crème Brûlée was also unique and delicious. Service: We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly. The hostess and our server did a great job of making us feel welcome. The entire two-hour meal was well paced, and we always felt attended to. I was especially impressed with the backlit menu portfolios. They made it easy to read in the evening without guests needing to use their phone flashlights, which was a thoughtful and effective use of technology. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they placed a sign on the table acknowledging the occasion, which was a nice touch. It would have been even better if one of the desserts had included a lit candle. Atmosphere: The setting is beautiful. We were seated in a smaller dining room with several other tables. When we first arrived, there was a larger, very boisterous group nearby, and it made it difficult to hear our server. Fortunately, they left about 30 minutes into our meal, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed and enjoyable. Our waterfront view added to the experience. This was a very special evening. It was also the most expensive meal we had in Key West, so it was reasonable to have high expectations. With a few improvements, it could have been a five-star experience. Definitely a place we would return to.
