A friend in Fort Myers recommended Santiago's Bodega for dinner while we were in Key West. We really appreciate the referral! This is a casual, yet classy restaurant that specializes in small plates. It iis a great way to go when you are up for sharing and trying new foods. We started with a red sangria, a sparkling sangria, iced tea and water. I can personally vouch for the red sparkling sangria. It was not too sweet, refreshing and just plain delicious. For our small plates selection, we chose: a Mediterranean salad (large is good for 3-4 people, crisp and tart), beef carpaaccio (tasty but not the best ever), yellowfin cervecci (it seemed like there was a touch too much lime, otherwise good), Roman meatballs with a small taste of spaghetti and sauce (this was one of our favorites, very moist on the inside and flavorful) and the short ribs (our other favorite (we loved the sauce and the meat was super tender). The bill came to $85 per couple, which isn't too bad. We were full and totally enjoyed the experience. Plus our waiter was friendly and efficient. We would go back, maybe to try their happy hour!

Fabulous restaurant serving delicious tapas and also enjoyed a fresh salad. Dining area feels intimate and secluded. Tables felt a tad bit crowded together and so felt encouraged not to linger. Waitstaff were helpful with menu selection suggestions and were very welcoming. Would return again, preferably during a not-so-busy dine time.

Santiago's Bodega is a must if you are in Key West! Casual dining offering delicious fresh ingredients tapas & homemade Sangria. Delicious fresh Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche marinated in a spicy citrus juice. Wonderful savory Smoked Salmon Carpaccio served with Crostinis, crème fraiche & capers. Hubby couldn't believe Petite-Rack Lamb served as. Hot Tapas, succulent & cooked to perfection! Can't forget about the Cheese Plate of the Day, ours had various quality meats, cheeses & pate!

Absolutely AWESOME! Yelp reviewers led us here checking out nearby restaurants as we were walking from Taylor State Park. A GREAT find. Got a table outside on front porch on a beautiful day. (Also hust happened to be happy hour with reduced prices on 5 selected items) We had the ahi tuna with chipotle lime marinade and cilantro siracha shrimp. VERY TASTY! Then we chose the trio hummus, garlic, roasted pepper and olive with right out of the oven pita bread. Mango quesadilla was another great choice. Oh yeah their homemade sangria was good and half price. Leena our waitress was extremely nice and answered all of our questions. The inside seemed like a nice vibe as well. Just a tad out of the way, unless you're coming from the park but well worth it!

Home run. If you enjoy tapas style, excellent food, you need to visit Santiago's. Service, food, drinks are top notch. Drinks limited to beer wine sangria so we enjoyed sangria. Must do if you're tapas style person and want high quality.

A hidden gem, truly. Dined here without a reservation and received excellent service from Nicole. She was professional and personable, provided recommendations and wine pairings with ease. The food was delicious, particularly the beef tenderloin. The menu is small, as well as the dining area, but it has everything you could need. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I went for happy hour and sat at the bar. We were very disappointed in the attention that we got from the bar staff when we're were ready to place our order. They almost made us feel like they didn't want to be bothered. We were finally able to get someone to take our order and I had a prickly pear margarita and my husband had an old fashion. Both were great! We then ordered the meatballs which were overcooked and dry. Very disappointing! ! We also had the short ribs and they were amazing. Will definitely give them another try. Maybe it was just an off day we hope!

Really fun tapas place tucked away from Duval street. French onion soup was the star of the show. Sangria was solid. Other honorable mentions include the burrata, meatballs, and the pear and avocado salad. Short ribs were amazing!!! But only came with 2, left me wanting so many more. Service was quick and friendly - no complaints!

On vacation we decided to have our last meal of the day here based on the yelp reviews. I wanted to love this place but left everyone wanting more. The menu is well done but arguably could be larger. This place is very busy and a reservation is a must. The service was excellent and no complaints there. Many dishes however were bland or overcooked. I really would not recommend the meatballs. There are some good dishes on this menu like the saganki and wedge salad. I think the yelp hype raised my expectations and they were just not met. I am willing to give it another try when I'm back in town.

I've been missing a good tapas place and so glad we had one of our vacation dinners at this adorable restaurant. Service was very good - great suggestions and recommendations from our sever. Their sparkling sangria was excellent! All of the tapas were good but the ceviche and ribs were next level amazing! Highly recommend this place and I like that's it further off Duval street giving it a more secluded feel.

I came in solo for a leisurely tapas-style meal and experienced both highs and a few missteps, but overall it was a memorable visit. The beef tenderloin (medium rare) arrived beautifully plated, topped with a bleu cheese butter crust. While the interior was cooked well, the outside was overdone, and the topping was far too salty for my taste. It overshadowed the flavor of the beef, which was a letdown for such a premium item. The smoked salmon plate brought things back on track. The salmon was delicate and flavorful, served with crostini, capers, red onions, lemon, and herbed crème fraîche. Clean, balanced, and refreshing. What truly elevated the experience was the Bread Pudding ($11). Made with buttery croissants, smothered in caramel bourbon glaze, and served with vanilla bean ice cream and blueberries, this dessert was absolutely outstanding. Rich, gooey, and indulgent--easily a 10/10 and one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Service was kind and attentive, and the ambiance was relaxed but polished. Final Take: A few seasoning and execution issues kept it from being perfect, but the dessert alone pushed the experience into solid 3-star territory. I'll definitely be back--to explore more tapas, and without question, for that bread pudding.

Saganaki is my favorite!!! (Flamed halloumi)

What kind of alcohol do you serve?

    Full bar service

Can you accommodate a party of 8? The reservation system only allows 6.

They are very small with a limited number of tables and space, a party of 8 would be difficult to seat but with significant notice (multiple days) and a phone call they probably could.

    Do you have outdoor seating?

    Yes

    When is happy hour?

Happy Hour at Santiagos Bodega is between 3:00pm and 6:00pm

Are you guys open for dinner tonight?

This question was probably best suited for a phone call 🤨

Tried dining here tonight however it is closed for renovations until September 1 2017?

Yes, it is common for many restaurants in Key West to close during August/September for renovations/vacations etc as this is the slowest part of the year for tourism.

The fresh catch came with an ear of corn that I made short work of! For dessert we devoured the banana bread french toast that was perfection! Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.

I was a little bummed we didn't get to see the view, but the ambiance inside is lovely too. Their menus light up which was so helpful in a dark restaurant. Our server was super helpful and made some great recommendations. We tried a few different small plates to share and enjoyed a few cocktails. Absolutely love the desserts here. It was a beautiful evening, and we were seated with a lovely view of the waterfront. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we were happy we chose this restaurant. Food: I always enjoy when a restaurant offers a creative and inventive cocktail menu. I won't go into detail on each one, but they were all very good, especially the Spiced Old Fashioned. At our server's suggestion, we ordered a couple of plates of the Grilled Ciabatta Bread. The bread was nicely grilled, and the roasted garlic manchego butter made it especially delicious. I normally try not to fill up on bread, but this was absolutely worth it. We ordered an eclectic mix of small and large plates. Some of the standout dishes included the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Swordfish, and Crab Cake. The Brussels sprouts took top honors, perfectly roasted without being greasy, full of flavor, and complemented by a generous amount of bacon. The one disappointment was the Pork Shank Osso Buco. While it was tender, it was only warm and a bit underseasoned. It was good, but not great, especially for someone who enjoys pork shank dishes. We saved room for dessert, and they were all crowd pleasers. My personal favorite was the Cuban Bread Pudding. The Chocolate Pistachio Crème Brûlée was also unique and delicious. Service: We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly. The hostess and our server did a great job of making us feel welcome. The entire two-hour meal was well paced, and we always felt attended to. I was especially impressed with the backlit menu portfolios. They made it easy to read in the evening without guests needing to use their phone flashlights, which was a thoughtful and effective use of technology. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they placed a sign on the table acknowledging the occasion, which was a nice touch. It would have been even better if one of the desserts had included a lit candle. Atmosphere: The setting is beautiful. We were seated in a smaller dining room with several other tables. When we first arrived, there was a larger, very boisterous group nearby, and it made it difficult to hear our server. Fortunately, they left about 30 minutes into our meal, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed and enjoyable. Our waterfront view added to the experience. This was a very special evening. It was also the most expensive meal we had in Key West, so it was reasonable to have high expectations. With a few improvements, it could have been a five-star experience. Definitely a place we would return to.
