    Helix Escargots
    Marilyn V.

The best restaurant I visited while in key west. Sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly yet respectful of our space. We ordered the helix escargot which was different than any other escargot I've had. The hint of lime was a delicious touch. The yellowtail snapper was perfect and we paired it with a salad. The setting and the flavors made it so that it quickly became a favorite. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dined here for date night and it was a solid meal! My bf and I sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender. To share we ordered the Goat Cheese Soufflé and the Helix Escargots. The soufflé was very unique, I didn't love it but my bf did. I just don't know how I felt about the hot goat cheese since I usually have it cold. Not bad to me, just different... it threw me off! The Escargots however were not controversial. We both agreed they were delicious. The sauce it came with was so good we were fighting over who would have the last of it! For my entree I ordered the Fettuccine Prosciutto di Parma. This dish was so delicious. My bf ordered the Linguine Littleneck Clams and it was good but once he tasted mine he wanted mine instead!! So we shared both pasta dishes. Between the both of them I would definitely say mine was better but the other one was great as well. Overall, we had a great dinner here. The restaurant is also dimly lit, very romantic. Will certainly come back again!

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening and quickly seated. Got the bread, which was awesome with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Also got the calamari, which is note fried, but was a killer sauce. Slight heat to it. Ordered the red snapper. It was served hot and the sauce was light and delicious. It came with small potatoes and broccolini. Highly recommend.

Botanist Martini made to perfection. Thank you to our 5-Star Bartender, Maria !!

We had reservations at Onlywood next door, and had a 1/2 hour to kill. Went right next door and almost stayed. We sat at the bar where Maria from Argentina took great care of us. Incredible cocktails and the menu was amazing. The atmosphere was a subtle mix of old school Italian and a more leisurely feel at the bar. Would love to come back for dinner but leaving the next day.

A very elegant place on Duval Street. The interior is nicely laid out to accommodate parties of varying sizes. The decor is well-executed, and it has a very relaxing vibe. The service is great. Our waiter was very personable and made excellent suggestions for appetizers and entrees. We started with some well-made cocktails. My wife and I split the grilled eggplant with burrata and peppers. It was accompanied by a fabulous sauce that complemented the eggplant. It was a great way to start the evening. Our friends started with calamari in a marinara sauce. The squid was fresh, incredibly flavorful, and tender. I had the grilled grouper served with pink shrimp. The shrimp and fish were served over great mashed potatoes and French green beans. It was also served with a simple, flavored butter sauce. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. My wife had their rendition of a layered lasagna topped with cheese and served in a deep dish. They used a Bolognese sauce versus a normal meat sauce. Truly unique and very delicious. We had an excellent meal, and I would recommend this if you are in town and want some great Italian food.

The best Italian restaurant we tried in Key West -- a must-visit Antonia's gave us one of the most memorable meals during our trip to Key West--and hands down, it was the best Italian restaurant we experienced on the island. I had a stunning seafood dish with grilled white fish and shrimp, served with green beans and freshly pan-seared gnocchi in a rich reduction sauce. The fish was tender with a beautifully crisped skin, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The gnocchi stood out--fresh, chewy, a little salty, and incredibly flavorful. You could tell it was made in-house. My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo, and it was another hit. The pasta was clearly house-made and cooked al dente, and the Alfredo sauce was creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of rich. She loved every bite. Our waitress was excellent--professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about the menu. She took the time to introduce each dish with care, which made the experience feel even more special. We wanted to try dessert, but we were completely full by the end of the meal. Next time! If you're looking for authentic, well-executed Italian food with warm service and a welcoming atmosphere, Antonia's is the place. We'll absolutely be back.

Very good Italian not NY but pretty close. The eggplant app was fantastic if offered get it, the lamb osso bucco was really good and Gnocci was very good.

Been coming to Key West for over 20 years and have seen this place so many times but have never stopped in for dinner... until now! We made reservations but got here early to enjoy some time at the bar before sitting down to dinner. The time at the bar was excellent, the bartender was great and they have a very nice antipasto board which was loaded with way more tasty items than two people could eat, while saving space for dinner. We enjoyed a bottle of bubbles at the bar and then we were seated at our cozy corner table. Service was spot-on PERFECT! He was handling many tables on our visit, but none were lacking for attention! He also had a great demeanor and provided excellent suggestions and knowledge about the menu. The items we tried for dinner were great... very nicely made and tasty! The venue is cozy and romantic too. Definitely would come back!

A classy, intimate, upscale Italian restaurant. Our server was nice enough to see this early and have some drinks while we waited for the remainder of our party. They have a good wine list, but their cocktails were on the fancier side rather than "hip" which is honestly just a matter of preference anyway. They do charge $5 for bread service which might be a hit or miss for some people. The bread itself was pretty good though. The field scallopini was pretty decent. The veal was cooked perfectly and absorbed the flavors of the sauce which was great, but I didn't get much out of the vegetables included. I'm not sure what but I felt like it could have had a little bit more of... Something, but by no means was it bad. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their dinner as well so I would say it's worth a visit if you're downtown looking for upscale Italian food.

Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.

Everything was outstanding as I had remembered it when I first fell in love with this place in 2020, starting with the amuse-bouche--perfect little bites that set the tone for the night. Toasted crostini topped with Roma tomato and mozzarella, paired with a slice of salami, cucumber, and cannellini beans tossed in a light vinaigrette--it was fresh, balanced, and just enough to whet the appetite. Next came a round of shared appetizers (the exact menu details escape me, but the experience certainly doesn't): scallops, lobster ravioli in a cream sauce, boneless quail in a sweet chili sauce, artichoke with mozzarella, and lobster tail. Every dish was memorable, but my favorites were the lobster tail, the impossibly tender quail with its subtly sweet sauce, and the perfectly cooked scallops. For my entrée, I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, served atop a bed of house-made pearl couscous--rich, comforting, and executed beautifully. Dessert was a true smorgasbord of scratch-made creations from Chef Richard: lemon tart, pecan pie à la mode, baked banana caramel, a light and fluffy New York-style cheesecake, and a decadent chocolate cake. We each took two bites before passing the plate to the right, repeating until nothing remained. The standout for me was the crustless cheesecake--airy, delicate, and utterly perfect. Rett provided an outstanding experience, honest suggestions for us, and even offered club soda with lemon for my son's upset stomach from the tedious red eye plane flight (should have booked Lola's later in our trip instead of the day we got here) so that he could be able to better enjoy his meal with us. All in all evening of incredible food, shared plates, and even better company, exactly how dining should be.
