Wow, wow, wow. My husband took me to this place for my birthday, and it was absolutely incredible. Let me start off with the service, which was probably the best service I've ever received. The gentleman who took our order was so helpful. Was kind enough to let us know almost all plates are large and can be shared. I had a specific request and he made it happen. The ambiance was lovely as-well, the place is extremely clean, with dim lighting and an overall casual luxurious feel. The pasta was divine. You can tell everything is home-made and fresh. We went to Antonios on June 11th and went to sit at the bar. The bartender named BELEN, put down menus and we started to review. She then came back and very rudely stated "oh that menu's not for you, it's for locals and you aren't a local". She then snatched it away and gave us a new one. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, some calamari and bread. The bartender was not only ignoring us but the rest of the bar as she proceeded to chat with three ladies at the end of the bar. Our food sat on the bar for 10 minutes before she finally got around to delivering it to us. By that time the calamari was cold and not edible. I called her out on being rude and she proceeded to argue with us. Apparently she didn't get the memo that her job is dependent upon tourists. And btw, we live in Florida so not that far away. I have never been treated so poorly and insulted by someone's tone and demeanor than by this woman. My advise, don't sit at the bar or don't waste your time at all. The food was simple, slightly bland, but did the job. The service was fast and easy, although it felt a bit skimpy. For example, charging you for bread and when you order the Barada, you don't get any cracker or bread to go with it. There's no easy parking. It's better to take a cab here. Dined here for date night and it was a solid meal! My bf and I sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender. To share we ordered the Goat Cheese Soufflé and the Helix Escargots. The soufflé was very unique, I didn't love it but my bf did. I just don't know how I felt about the hot goat cheese since I usually have it cold. Not bad to me, just different... it threw me off! The Escargots however were not controversial. We both agreed they were delicious. The sauce it came with was so good we were fighting over who would have the last of it! For my entree I ordered the Fettuccine Prosciutto di Parma. This dish was so delicious. My bf ordered the Linguine Littleneck Clams and it was good but once he tasted mine he wanted mine instead!! So we shared both pasta dishes. Between the both of them I would definitely say mine was better but the other one was great as well. Overall, we had a great dinner here. A very elegant place on Duval Street. The interior is nicely laid out to accommodate parties of varying sizes. The decor is well-executed, and it has a very relaxing vibe. The service is great. Our waiter was very personable and made excellent suggestions for appetizers and entrees. We started with some well-made cocktails. My wife and I split the grilled eggplant with burrata and peppers. It was accompanied by a fabulous sauce that complemented the eggplant. It was a great way to start the evening. Our friends started with calamari in a marinara sauce. The squid was fresh, incredibly flavorful, and tender. I had the grilled grouper served with pink shrimp. The shrimp and fish were served over great mashed potatoes and French green beans. It was also served with a simple, flavored butter sauce. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. My wife had their rendition of a layered lasagna topped with cheese and served in a deep dish. They used a Bolognese sauce versus a normal meat sauce. Truly unique and very delicious. The best Italian restaurant we tried in Key West -- a must-visit Antonia's gave us one of the most memorable meals during our trip to Key West--and hands down, it was the best Italian restaurant we experienced on the island. I had a stunning seafood dish with grilled white fish and shrimp, served with green beans and freshly pan-seared gnocchi in a rich reduction sauce. The fish was tender with a beautifully crisped skin, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The gnocchi stood out--fresh, chewy, a little salty, and incredibly flavorful. You could tell it was made in-house. My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo, and it was another hit. The pasta was clearly house-made and cooked al dente, and the Alfredo sauce was creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of rich. She loved every bite. Our waitress was excellent--professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about the menu. She took the time to introduce each dish with care, which made the experience feel even more special. We wanted to try dessert, but we were completely full by the end of the meal. Next time! For the price you pay here it should come with the meal, and if you want more you shouldn't be charged . For main the Chilean sea bass at $56 was a complete rip off. It was so sour from a badly made sauce. The artichokes tasted like they came out of a can and were so overcooked they were inedible. The Fettuccine was awful. Thick and inflated like balloon ribbons. For dessert we had 3 small canolies that should have had chocolate chips, but didn't, and had hardly been filled. I would never eat here again, or recommend this place to anyone. read more

A classy, intimate, upscale Italian restaurant. Our server was nice enough to see this early and have some drinks while we waited for the remainder of our party. They have a good wine list, but their cocktails were on the fancier side rather than "hip" which is honestly just a matter of preference anyway. They do charge $5 for bread service which might be a hit or miss for some people. The bread itself was pretty good though. The field scallopini was pretty decent. The veal was cooked perfectly and absorbed the flavors of the sauce which was great, but I didn't get much out of the vegetables included. I'm not sure what but I felt like it could have had a little bit more of... Something, but by no means was it bad. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their dinner as well so I would say it's worth a visit if you're downtown looking for upscale Italian food. read more

We made reservations but got here early to enjoy some time at the bar before sitting down to dinner. The time at the bar was excellent, the bartender was great and they have a very nice antipasto board which was loaded with way more tasty items than two people could eat, while saving space for dinner. We enjoyed a bottle of bubbles at the bar and then we were seated at our cozy corner table. Service was spot-on PERFECT! He was handling many tables on our visit, but none were lacking for attention! He also had a great demeanor and provided excellent suggestions and knowledge about the menu. The items we tried for dinner were great... very nicely made and tasty! I had the BEST experience with Ezekiel last night. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the whole dinner feel special. His recommendations were spot on, especially the branzino special. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned, cooked beautifully, and so flavorful that I'm still thinking about it today. Ezekiel's service took everything to the next level. He checked in at the right moments, made us feel taken care of, and clearly cares about giving guests an incredible experience. If you go, request him and absolutely get the branzino. Make sure to get your steps in and save room for dessert. The servers are very friendly and fun to engage. There are so many great choices it is hard to decide. The Fettuccine with Prosciutto di Parma is my current favorite pasta on the menu, but you can't go wrong with any of them. You need to try the Amaretto and Coconut Cream Pie! read more

This is a really fabulous dining experience in Key West! Excellent service, excellent food, and gorgeous decor. It's almost shocking that this exists on Duval Street because once you step inside, it's a whole other world of class and beauty. My friends shared a bottle of wine and I got a glass of chilled prosecco. For starters, I did the escargot which was served on a piece of toast, beautifully plated. And I shared my Red Snapper Francese with my friend who shared her Seafood Linguine with me...I'm so glad we did that because I ended up liking my meal very much, but I loved hers even more! My wife & I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and chose Antonia's as a must eat experience. It's located on Duval Street. The moment we walked in we knew this was going to be amazing and Antonia's (service, food and atmosphere) did not disappoint. After my wife ordered a cocktail sh ordered the GROUPER with toasted gnocchi, pine nuts, mushrooms, key lime butter. I ordered the LAMB OSSO BUCO in chianti braised sauce. One could say I am an Osso Buco Connoisseur. I can say without reservation this was the most tender and flavorful I have ever had the pleasure of eating. It's that good. Meat was succulent, the chanti braised sauce was also amazing so was the really tasty mash potatoes and asparagus. My wife made yummy sounds with every bit of her grouper. Last and certainly not least is the top notch attentive service and atmosphere. You really need to try this restaurant it's worth every dollar. The bread was great and the wine was smooth. I had the fettuccine bolognese and was not disappointed! About 3 weeks prior to arriving in Key West, my husband called Antonia's to confirm that they were dog friendly before making a reservation for us. My husband made sure to specify that our dog was not a service dog on the call and was told that all dogs were allowed. Upon receiving confirmation from the staff member, my husband made an online reservation for us for Thanksgiving dinner. Fast forward to Thanksgiving Day, it is one hour before our dinner reservation, when Antonia's calls my husband. "Only service dogs are allowed," the staff member tells him, "Some people lie and say their dogs are service dogs to be let in." First of all, we never claimed that our dog was a service dog. One of the restaurant's own staff members literally gave us confirmation that they allow all dogs. If the restaurant had provided the correct information 3 weeks ago, we would not have made the reservation. Second of all, it's one hour before our reservation on Thanksgiving Day, and you're letting us know NOW that you cannot accommodate us without even apologizing for inconveniencing us. We would have bought some if we didn't have to fly home. I was disappointed with the Caesar salad--too fishy for my taste. My entree was the linguine with clams and it was amazing. This restaurant has very high reviews, I dont agree. Our server was non-attentive. My friend and I had ordered wine to go with our meal: it did not arrive until half way through our dinner. I ordered the seafood linguini it was supposed to have calamari in it. It did not. It had huge chunks of fish along with mussels, clams and shrimp. It also came with spaghetti instead of. Linguine. The taste was overall good. My friend ordered the shrimp with linguine, requested to have a different sauce and added small scallops. When we got the bill they had charged us with $22 linguine (spaghetti was given) plus $15 for shrimp and another $15 for scallops. $52 dollars! My seafood dish was $34. The manager said this is how it is set, he couldn't adjust the bill. The hostess basically blew us off with corporate 'i see you' speak but also did nothing. Mind you there were only 4 other tables in use at the restaurant. We saw with our server only 4 times: to order, to bring apps, main and dessert then the bill. We were there over 3.5 hours. The food overall tasted fair, and it is grossly overpriced as well as they only want your money- they dont care about service because you're just a visitor and probably wont be back again. read more

Ordered veal scallopini, which according to the menu comes with a butter and white wine sauce, but this time came with a brown sauce.
