In the midsts of tourist attractions and dive bars, Conchiglia was a pleasant change of pace! My husband and I stopped here for Jazz Brunch on Sunday morning - the restaurant was beautifully designed with a refreshing costal vibe, atmosphere was lively with the local band playing and the staff were so welcoming and attentive! We ordered the LA COLAZIONE CONCHIGLIA TOWER which came with a wonderful assortment of pastries, jams and even two espresso drinks. Everything was freshly made and tasty as can be! Mysha served us and was 10/10 professional and thorough. We went back and asked for her specifically. She's a gem. The real showstopper was the food. From lamb chops to pizza it was five stars. My bf and I came here the other night to try this new restaurant out. They did a fantastic job decorating the place. It looks really clean and nautically themed. It's hard to believe it's the same space we used to visit for the previous restaurant before them, it seems bigger! To eat we ordered a couple things to share: the Duval Sunset Mezze, the Portabello Wellington Al Forno, the La Conchiglia Verde and the Amalfi Lemon Veal. The Duval Sunset Mezze was cute in theory but wasn't really practical. It was just a lot of bread and then you had to lift it up to get the dips in/underneath it. The flavors were good though I would say I would just rather the bread be separate to avoid the mess of eating the dish this way. The Portabello Wellington al Forno was our favorite dish we tried. This was flakey and flavorful and the arugula salad on it was refreshing. We almost got another one it was a hit. The La Conchiglia Verde (kale salad) was very bland and not memorable. The dressing was good but it barely had any. Wanted to order extra dressing but the waitress didn't really come to our table much to check on us. Lastly we got the Amalfi Lemon Veal entree. The veal was cooked to perfection, you could cut it with your fork but the flavor was bland. The potatoes it came with were perfect though. Crispy on the outside but soft inside. I would come back and try some other items (and get the Portabello Wellington again). read more

We had dinner elsewhere that evening, but by the time we were heading back to our apartment, we found ourselves craving dessert. As we walked by Conchiglia, we were drawn in by the atmosphere. We didn't realize at the time that it had only opened a few days earlier. The posted menus didn't list dessert, but we decided to ask the host anyway. Glad we did. Food: The regular dinner menu sounded fantastic, with a wide range of options including pizza, pasta, salads, beef, chicken, and seafood. It's definitely a place we'd like to return to for a full meal. Since we were only there for dessert and there was no printed dessert menu, our server did a great job describing the options. We decided on the Midnight Chocolate Soufflé and the Olive Oil Vanilla Cake. Both were excellent choices. The chocolate soufflé was dense and rich, with some pleasant surprises inside, including Bordeaux cherries. The olive oil cake was incredibly moist, with added texture and flavor from crushed almond cookies and a bright lemon cream. Service: Our server was attentive and welcoming from the start, bringing water and explaining the dessert options clearly. Even though we were only there for dessert, we never felt like an afterthought. The staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure our brief visit was enjoyable. Atmosphere: The space is beautiful. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas looked inviting. The restaurant has an upscale feel while still being comfortable and relaxed. Everything felt fresh, polished, and thoughtfully designed. Relatively new restaurant and crowded during prime time dinner hours. Sitting in back of restaurant in garden area is tight seating and not enjoyable listening to other's conversations. Cacio e Pepe transported me back to Rome. Creamy, cheesy, and not overly peppery. Amalfi lemon veal was just ok. The rosemary potatoes were average. The chicken was incredibly juicy and carrots some of best I've ever had. I will say though the chicken is salty from the brine, so consider when ordering. Selena was server. Although a new restaurant they really need to tighten the recipes together, especially something called flavors. Season your offerings, please. My husband and I dined at Conchiglia on Friday, 5 June. What a great experience! We dined at the bar under the inverted boat entrance chandelier centerpiece. The decor is relaxed and inviting with inside and outside dining for large or small groups. We had the Portobello Wellington, couscous di mara allo zafferano, and the Pear & Pine pasta. Highly recommend each. The Pear/Pine Nut pasta is not something I would have normally tried I but took a risk. Worth it! Portobello in the Wellington is a light "meaty" meal for one or a great for a share. Bottom line: Go there for inside/outside ambiance and top shelf, fresh ingredients and service. read more

So happy you came to the neighborhood. We dined at Conchiglia last night and everything was terrific. We made a reservation. We were seated on time. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The food was dynamite. We started with the beef carpaccio and the burrata. Both delicious. The star of our entrees was the pear and ricotta tortellini. Fantastic!!! We also got the stuffed shells, the pasta with the veal ragu and a pepperoni pizza. All extremely delicious. Highly recommend everythig we had. We can not wait to come back and being only 2 blocks from my house, I think we will be back a lot. Thank you, everyone at Conchiglia. We couldn't wait to come back to Conchiglia after our first visit. It was one of our favorite meals in Key West. The pear and Gorgonzola pasta and the mushroom Wellington appetizer were absolutely incredible, so we were disappointed to find that both had already been removed from the menu. Unfortunately, the service made this visit even more disappointing. We were greeted by a hostess who argued with us about our reservation before finally seating us. The hostess is the first person guests meet and the face of the restaurant, so first impressions matter. She seemed scattered, disorganized, and just generally off, making for an uncomfortable and unwelcoming start to the evening. Our waitress was even worse. She was cold, unfriendly, and made us feel like we were bothering her every time we asked for something--even bread, water, salt and pepper, or a simple question about the menu. Instead of feeling like welcomed guests, we felt like an inconvenience. It's such a shame because this restaurant has so much potential and the food we had on our first visit was outstanding. Hospitality is just as important as great food, and unfortunately that's where this experience fell short. We get this a new establishment but after two visits we will offer this - overall food is good but still needs some work. The "new" bread service is just odd - like a calzone with nothing in it. Biggest complaint is the wait staff - they seem totally disengaged. No water refills and it takes forever to get their attention when the meal is over. Who doesn't like to try new restaurants as a local? Support your local businesses during the summer months, many times taking advantage of discounted summer pricing. It's definitely getting harder to put money towards new businesses when you have the experience as I have last night. The only great experience was dining in open air, on Duval. If you like sitting amongst your peers at a table like a 5yr old that needs a booster because the table stools are too low. If you like your bread service air pocket hot, mimicking a pita. If you like your salad appetizer to look like it's been housed in the crisper for a week or more. If you like your fried appetizer to taste like burnt oil paired with fresh shrimp. If you like gnocchi that are the consistency of rubber bullets, don't dare put the additional unseasoned bolognese. If you like butter as the only seasoning within your seafood dish If you like your fish in the seafood pasta the consistency of a kids bath toy. If you like to wear the color of your drink on your new "going out for it" because the server can't wipe the glass down. What a delightful dinner at Conchiglia! Our party of 6 dined on the beautiful patio. Tables are not too close together and the blue and white umbrellas provide ample shade for dining. Our service was attentive and prompt. We enjoyed the arugula salad, that was large enough to share, as well as the Conchiglia Comfort. The Amalfi Lemon Veal had our guest struggling to not lick the plate. The pepperoni Storm had 6 generous slices, and our waiter was kind in adding a side of Calabrian Chili, that kicked things up in heat...delish. We were greeted by the best host very friendly and got us in right away, and sat us at a nice quiet table in their garden area.
