If I could rate this restaurant higher I would! What a quaint italian restaurant! We were vacationing in Key West and it was our anniversary and we wanted something more quiet than the typical bars and restaurants found in KW. The food at Abbondanza was so so good! We got the veal parmigiana and the chicken marsala for our main meal and the Caprese salad as an appetizer. We shared each other's meals because they were so good! The decor of the restaurant is perfect! They have these quaint little pillow couches for some of the tables which is so inviting especially if you have larger group. The staff and manager couldn't do enough for us! This is a must if you are visiting Key West!

All five of us had delicious meals and ate until we couldn't eat any more! Our server Danielle was wonderful and helped us pick out each of our meals! Can't wait to go back!

I thought everything was good quality.

I went here because I was by myself and it was walking distance from my hotel. I ate at the bar. Bartender was nice & efficient . Food on the menu all looked good. I had three beers. With tip, it was a little north of $50.

Nice Italian restaurant at the quieter side of Old Town in Key West. Good food and services. We came in for dinner based on theirs good reviews one night during our trip and we were not disappointed! The Hugo cocktail is really refreshing especially in hot weather, I can sip it all day :D We tried the perfectly Roasted Brussels Sprouts special appetizer of the day, and Fried Calamari. Hubby opted for the special-Shrimp Fra Diacvolo, and I had the Linguine Pescatore. Big portion on all dishes and both pasta were tasty but just a bit too saucey to our liking.

Lobster on top of angel hair ! My most favorite meal there but everything is really good.

The bar staff are wonderful And friendly. We always eat at the bar to chat. The food is top notch yummy. The ambiance is good usually very busy but reservations not necessary in March. We walk in and have always been able to get a seat.

Been coming here for years and it's still to this day, the best Italian in key west. The service is always consistent and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and dark which is perfect for a date night or even a relaxing night with family and friends. The portions of food are always generous and I can't say the same for other Italian restaurants in KW. Definitely a must try while in town!

Our food was presented well, and tasted even better. The service was mediocre and the ambiance reminded us of an old traditional Italian restaurant. We do recommend!

Can't past go without being seated

Great service, and a cute place. Not your typical Italian like we're used to back home but was still pretty good.

I love businesses that love cats and this place is one of those! There is a beautiful black cat who basically runs the show here. So cute. The cat didn't want to be pet (I'm assuming because he was on the clock) no matter how many times I tried to psst psst psst him over to me but I respect his professionalism. He checked on customers inside and outside to make sure they were enjoying their dinner. He only seemed interested in the manager/owner because when she spoke to him, he gave a little meow. Okay so I placed an online order and selected a pepperoni pizza and then there was an option to add olives and I did that thinking they would be black olives. So I was surprised when I got my pizza and they were Kalamata olives! Luckily I do like them as well but I wish I would have known what type of olives they were since black olives are my preferred choice, especially on a pizza. Were the Kalamata olives bad on the pizza? Not at all. Just not what I was expecting. The pizza was great and usually I don't eat the crust but I ate this one! I would come back forsure!

The gentleman who took our order was so helpful. Was kind enough to let us know almost all plates are large and can be shared. I had a specific request and he made it happen. The ambiance was lovely as-well, the place is extremely clean, with dim lighting and an overall casual luxurious feel. The pasta was divine. You can tell everything is home-made and fresh. Best pasta I've ever had. Cannot recommend enough! Fellas, take your lady here. She will love it.

She then came back and very rudely stated "oh that menu's not for you, it's for locals and you aren't a local". She then snatched it away and gave us a new one. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, some calamari and bread. The bartender was not only ignoring us but the rest of the bar as she proceeded to chat with three ladies at the end of the bar. Our food sat on the bar for 10 minutes before she finally got around to delivering it to us. By that time the calamari was cold and not edible. I called her out on being rude and she proceeded to argue with us. Apparently she didn't get the memo that her job is dependent upon tourists. And btw, we live in Florida so not that far away. I have never been treated so poorly and insulted by someone's tone and demeanor than by this woman. My advise, don't sit at the bar or don't waste your time at all. Clearly they are not tourist friendly. I wish I could comment on the food but we never got that far.

Started with the deviled egg sampler - absolutely delicious - three kinds: regular, topped with crispy chorizo and topped with a fried jalapeño. Hubs had the yellowfin tuna sandwich (no bun) and I had the grilled grouper sandwich. Froth fish were perfectly cooked! The side salads had a delicious vinaigrette dressing. French fries were good. I also had a glass of Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon which was a bit pricy but wonderful. Look forward to returning here again sometime for dinner.

We came across Blackfin Bistro on our last night in Key West. If we had discovered it earlier in…read morethe trip, it likely would have earned a repeat visit. Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.

The pasta nearly melted in my mouth and the crab was obviously fresh (I confirmed it was Florida Blue Crab). I almost went back for the same dish a second time but that is against my religion. He opted for rigatoni and sausage and said it was good but just a tad sweet. They also gave us two servings of bread, a plus! The best meal of our Key West trip!…read more Lola's Bistro is a hidden gem on Simonton Street. There's no printed menu: Chef Richard cooks a handful of starters and entrees each night, and the server walks you through them at the table. The room is small and intimate, with around 16 people a seating, and the service feels personal from the moment you sit down. We started with the scallops in garlic sauce, the quail, and the short rib ravioli, and every one was a standout. For mains we had the hogfish with lobster ravioli, the black grouper in mushroom sauce with lobster ravioli, and an Iberico pork chop the chef called "the wagyu of pork chops". He wasn't exaggerating. Dessert was flambéd bananas and Italian cream puffs filled with vanilla cream and covered in chocolate sauce, a perfect finish. One more thing worth noting for anyone planning to visit: the restaurant does not serve alcohol, so you'll need to bring your own beverages.
