We stumbled across Vino's while wandering Duval Street and ended up visiting twice during our trip. The sangria is delicious, especially during happy hour, and there are plenty of wines available by the glass or bottle at reasonable prices. We also shared a meat and cheese board that paired perfectly with the wine. What really made us come back, though, was Sam. She was welcoming, attentive, and just genuinely enjoyable to chat with. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've been coming there for years, even if it's your first visit. This feels like one of those places you could stop into for a glass of wine every afternoon while you're in Key West. Relaxed atmosphere, good wine, good conversation, and no pressure to rush off somewhere else. As an added bonus, Sam helped us secure reservations at Lola's Bistro, which ended up being my favorite meal of the entire trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Key West. read more

Great little wine bar! Made a quick stop for some $7 homemade sangrias & mimosas--they were excellent. The service was swift and the female working the bar was very friendly. We decided to stop into this place as we saw the Veuve Clicquot Rosé for under $70 a bottle (fairly good deal). The inside has a great vibe with limited seating. There is a bar with chairs and two tables and a booth that sits 6-8. There is a lot of interesting inspired wine art on the ceiling, walls and the chandeliers! There is some light bites you can also order. We had the charcuterie tray with various cheeses, meats, bread and peppers. It was a perfect compliment to the champagne. There is only one server/bartender so if it gets busy, it can get a little hectic. Brandy was our server/bartender and she did an excellent job keeping us happy with a full crowd. Fun little place farther down Duval (810 Duval), but worth a stop. read more

I finally got to revisit one of my favorite wine bars recently and it's still awesome. A lot of places on duval street were once homes and Vinos is just like that so you can sit on the front porch and do my favorite thing to do in Key West, people watching. I don't talk about the bathrooms at places much but i think the bathroom is kinda cool here because they used old, wood wine boxes to make the soap holder, napkin box and even the molding around the walls are from the wine boxes. The way the place is decorated is nice too. I love brick and candles and they have lots of both. The staff at Vinos always does a great job recommending wines that I end up liking and I am pretty sure the prices are fair. This visit my husband and i both had glasses of their sangria which was delicious. read more

After trying a few different types of red wine by glass I was really impressed by their selection on the menu. First things first. Ana, our server. Knowledgeable, friendly, fantastic! Wine. Excellent, eclectic choices. Great value by the glass, which isn't always the case. Nibbles. We got the hummus and also one of the cheeses. A champagne cheddar. The portions were um, enormous. Hummus was an entire container of the sort you would get at a grocery store, not just a dab. The cheese was a slab of cheddar. You might expect a couple little chunks. Nope, you get a slab. Two will feast and then bring a bunch home to feast again. Four will simply feast. No secret I lean to the flavor of beer over wine but sometimes I have to please others with their preference for wine... over the years Grand Vin, Antonia's and White Tarpon have been our "go-to" in Key West for our nights of fermented grapes. I had passed by a fairly new place Vino's On Duval often and have always been impressed by how the active the bar is; but still I had not stopped in. During one weekend though we were entertaining another couple staying with us and knowing their propensity for wine we decided to finally check out Vino's since we had a little time to kill before our dinner reservation. We grabbed a spot on their front porch which is elevated and overlooks Duval Street... perfect for Key West people watching. We drank some wine, shared some good conversation and shortly after we headed out to our dinner elsewhere. After dinner we decided our night was not over but we had no interest in getting hammered on the party end of Duval (Hogs Breath, Sloppy Joe's, et cetera)... so after already enjoying our time at Vino's earlier, we were happy to return. This time our companions treated us to Far Niente Dolce dessert wine... I don't pretend to know the costs/values of wine but our friends assured us the wine was very fairly priced (all I know is that it is expensive and it was a fabulous treat). I jumped inside for a moment to check out the interior and ambience... wine bottles galore, typical decor for a wine bar, plus many unique features (like a wine glass chandelier and corks lining the ceiling). While inside taking in the scenery I ran into an old friend that insisted on introducing me to the owner... I was so happy to see a familiar face; turns out the owner (Clayton) used to serve up wines to me at Antonia's a few years back. You ever meet one of those people that are just nice and genuine and you would love to see them do well... Clayton is one of those kind of guys; genuine and good all around. Since then I have been back a few times; I still prefer my beer stops but when wine is fancied then Vino's On Duval is the place to be for me. read more

This place rocks! Small, quaint, welcoming and a great selection. It's annoying to visit small wine shops that carry only average wines or that have absurd mark ups (especially for those crappy wines). No problem here! I wrongfully thought that visiting this wine bar would be one of "those" given it's prime Duval location. I am not wrong often (wink wink) but I was wrong thinking that. We were lucky to have amazing weather and to score seats on their veranda. The people watching was great and the wine was even better. We went before dinner elsewhere and came back after dinner for a 2006 Dolce dessert wine (one of our favorites). If you are familiar with Dolce you know that restaurants and wine bars LOVE to triple the price on this one because it's hard to get. Not here. I don't know how they do it but their price was unbelievably close to it's original retail price. Almost one week later I went to South Beach's Juvia and you guessed it, the mark up was ridiculous. The bartender was horrible. The minute we walked in she gave us sour looks. I get we may look young for our age, but there's no reason to be rude and unfriendly because you may think we're under age. I get it's one thing to question appearance but to take my LEGITIMATE ID and then scoff because you think I'underage. Go blow yourself. Prices by the glass range from $9 to $15 and a good variety of things to try out. Best if you can get a seat on the porch to people watch, but inside is comfy as well. Just a couple of table and the bar. Snacks are from down the street but that is fine. Bottles aren't too marked up, so you can find something nice without breaking the bank. If you like wine,this is the place to go while on Duval St. Nice little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. They have about 100 different wines to try plus daily sangria specials. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Side wall has holes in it where they put candles in at night, the wax just flows from them.
