We also shared a meat and cheese board that paired perfectly with the wine. What really made us come back, though, was Sam. She was welcoming, attentive, and just genuinely enjoyable to chat with. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've been coming there for years, even if it's your first visit. This feels like one of those places you could stop into for a glass of wine every afternoon while you're in Key West. Relaxed atmosphere, good wine, good conversation, and no pressure to rush off somewhere else. As an added bonus, Sam helped us secure reservations at Lola's Bistro, which ended up being my favorite meal of the entire trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Key West.

I've had dessert in the desert near Area 51, And underground in Antarctica, far from the sun. I've had it in graveyards, beneath moonlight so fair, And even in a dessert restaurant, yes, I've had dessert there! At Better Than Sex, the Fever was mine, And it tasted so splendid, so luscious, divine. I tried one of their special coffees as well, And it was so delicious, I nearly swooned under its spell. But the night's grandest moment, the finest display, Was when our waiter arrived with the desserts on a tray. He looked straight in my eyes as he named each delight, With a confidence both curious and wonderfully bright. My dessert was a huge phallus, impressive and grand, With two giant balls resting beneath it in hand. It was covered in "splooge sauce," a curious sweet stream, A dessert of such drama it belonged in a dream! I truly enjoyed this place and would gladly return If I lived nearby, where the sweet candles burn. Overall had an amazing time and recommend this place for anything from a late night dessert or a full dessert meal. In fact, happy hour is already on the list for our next visit. The sangria was so good that we may have lost track of how many glasses we had. The tapas format made it easy to try a variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. There wasn't a single plate that made us wish we'd ordered something else. What I liked most was how relaxed everything felt. We took our time, shared dishes, drank sangria, and enjoyed the afternoon without feeling rushed. Next time we're in Key West, Santiago's Bodega will absolutely be getting another visit.

Great people watching, a relaxed atmosphere, and exactly the kind of setting we were hoping for in Key West. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. The martinis were excellent, and every dish we ordered was a hit. We started with the ahi tuna, which was fresh, light, and the perfect way to start the meal. For dinner I had the fish special over risotto, and my husband had the homemade bolognese. Both were fantastic. It's hard to say which was better because we kept trading bites back and forth. To finish the evening, they surprised me with a pineapple upside down cake for my birthday, complete with a sparkler. It was a fun ending to an already memorable meal. Between the porch seating, the service, the cocktails, and the food, this was one of those dinners that just gets everything right. We'd happily return the next time we're in Key West.

Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.
