This is a cute bar near the southernmost point. There is usually live music playing and lots of fans nearby to help with the Florida heat. There is a walk up food truck to order food and a bar to get drinks. The drinks are on the pricey side but they were pretty good. read more

Nice bar right next to the southern most point buoy. They have plenty of shady seating and some huge fans to help cool off after being in the sun. The live music was a nice touch as well. We didnt get any food but they do have a food truck there where you can walk up and order food from. The bar is also a walk up service only so don't expect a server to come around. The drinks were alright, but not our style. The use mulled fruit which gets stuck in your straw and just doesn't add the same level of sweetness we expected. Price wise they were a bit on the higher end of what we paid while in the keys. The larger drink with "more alcohol" was roughly $21-$22 each. read more

As we were at the Southernmost Point in the US, it wouldn't be complete without having a drink at this place. They do have a food truck from where you can order food, but we had already eaten. They also had a live singer. As we were there during happy hour, we purchased a couple of drinks, sat down, and enjoyed the music while chickens and their chicks pecked at the floor for food under our table. This was very memorable experience while we were in Key West and would recommend this place to others. read more

My drink tasted like I had no alcohol in it. Stirred it- did all the good stuff didn't matter. Went up and asked the bartenders if it was supposed to be an alcohol free drink. Girl said no. She said it had vanilla liquor and once you mix it with frozen Drinks, it tones down the flavor. read more

Had just come from the Butterfly Sanctuary (a must visit) and was killing time before our trolley ride back to Duval. Happened upon this place and the wife said she needed a quick bite. Without much time (and zero expectation ) we opted for a quick hot dog. WOW! 1/4lb split and grilled. Toasted and pressed bun like a Cubano giving it a great texture. Outstanding!! Top 10 hot dog for me...ever. My only regret was, if the freaking HOT DOG was this good, WTH am I missing out by not ordering their REAL food. I did see an order of tacos going out that looked and smelled amazing. Didn't try the food from the Sandy's but had some drinks at the bar. Cups for beer/drinks are tiny and cocktails were pricy compared to most places on Duval street. They have live music and it's a good spot to stop by on your way to take the photo with the Southern Most Buoy. read more

I can't even express how delicious the pina coladas here are! Such fresh ingredients the coconut shavings on top are just the cherry on top to the most perfect refreshing drink to have while roaming around in our golf cart in Duval Street. The bartenders were all very sweet and friendly as well. Chill laid-back ambiance! Pro tip take a pic with the mini replica of the southernmost point if the line is too long. This was an awesome bar to check out mainly because of the location, and the awesome weather we were having that day. I mainly am marking it down, because of how long it took for our food to reach our table on a fairly mild lunch shift. From what i could see there were plenty of staff and the restaurant was not all busy for such a touristy area, but it took almost a full hour for us to get our food which mainly consisted of burgers and other various bar food. The food was good but nothing really to tell anyone about. With that being said, if i am ever in the area again i for sure would eat here again. read more

Where can I start?! Southernmost Point Bar has been our go-to bar/destination for our mini Key West girls trip vacation Happy Hour! The Pina Coladas are beyond amazing and the Frozen Coquito was just what we needed to get in the holiday spirit! The staff here is top-notch. Shoutout to Maxwell who was quick to make recommendations and serve my sister, friend, and I the best Pina Coladas on the island!!! A hidden gem! Great music, low-key atmosphere and service. The bartenders go out of their way to get to know their customers and provide excellent drinks, food and friendly atmosphere where ALL feel welcome and like family! I'm gonna be honest, being on a vacation with three children 14 and under, three time zones away from home and with a full itinerary of activities in Key West did not leave a lot of time for me to sit at a local bar... Not exactly how I enjoy spending my time anyway. But I got to thinking: how likely is it that I'm going to be here again? And considering that low probability, I suppose it's only fitting that I leave with a story that I drank a beer at the southernmost bar in the contiguous United States. I'm sure there's some wild Key West stories that start like that, but that's pretty much also how my story here ended. I bellied up, got a cold one, drank it in three long draughts, dropped a couple of bucks on the bar as a tip, and headed back to the sidewalk and my waiting family. During my one minute stay, most folks seem to be enjoying themselves, either seated near the bar, or out on the shady patio, in defiance of the heat and humidity. Very close to the southernmost point buoy attraction, which is just down the street, and a few other touristy spots close by. Truth be told, they did not seem to be a whole lot to this place, but they did have a menu, and I saw some folks seemingly enjoying munching on some brown breaded bar food with dipping sauces on the side. Probably can't go wrong with anything here, especially if you wash it down with one of those giant Mojitos or Mai Tais I saw on another table. Southernmost bar I hardly knew ya. I guess there's always next time... But not knowing when that will be, I suppose I'll just have to live with my one minute of fame, chugging a beer while no one was watching except my wife & kids. #Goals read more

Located right across from the southernmost point attraction, we stopped for a drink on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff is very pleasant and the space is fun- great patio seating covered with fans if it's hot. We ordered their 2 most popular cocktails, the pina colada and the mojito. Both tasted sweet and were refreshing in the heat. Honestly didn't taste the alcohol though. We initially thought the prices were high (each cocktail was $13 excluding tips), but I think that price is consistent throughout key west. read more

Fun open-air bar celebrating the Southernmost Point marker with their own recreation of it. Happy friendly service, plenty of awnings and shade, and refreshingly reasonably priced libations is nice. And they're open early. 8am!! Even though we were in when it was slow, the marker's enough to attract all sorts of entertaining hammy revelers and idiot inconsiderate paparazzi types, so there's that. read more

This is an outdoor bar and patio that is very cool. They make great drinks. It looks like they have food when you look them up online, but the food is actually a separate food truck next to the bar. I didn't try the food, but I tried several of the drinks, and they were excellent. Seemed to be more of an older crowd here, which was fine. The people working there didn't seem to be very friendly, as they complained about how hot it was during the summer there (even though this visit was in December, 2023). Come for the drinks, stay for the sunset. It's a nice place to try tropical drinks and relax. read more

This is an outdoor patio bar. It's casual and fun. They have big fans and umbrellas so you don't feel the heat. It's located down the street from the southernmost point. They have live music and the singer was excellent. It is a unique set up. As you walk in there is a food truck that you order food from but it is a seperate business. Then you order drinks at the bar and find a table. Bartenders were all nice and they make good drinks. We had chicken tacos and a Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent. I highly recommend hanging out here in the afternoon. read more

We visited the southern most point and then walked a block to get something to eat here. The food comes from a food truck and the bar is separate. There is lots of seating outside. I got the fried fish plate and it was very good. They give a basket of fries covered with several pieces of fish. I had 2 packets of ketchup and asked for some more and that was a bit hard but we worked it out. Probably need more than 2 packets for a plate of fries. The bartenders were great and really took care of us. They even remind everyone to hydrate. The drinks were cold and fresh. The bathrooms are monitored and we were asked if we were customers before being able to use. I agree with this except we were coming from the bar and seating area when we arrived. Overall, the food is good, the bar is great and the food truck staff is average. read more

I've eaten here twice and have never been blown away and my parents have said that over the years, the food has declined a bit. They usually like the fish tacos and that's what they continue to get but they mentioned they were better years ago. My pulled pork bbq sandwich was satisfying. I don't like that you don't get a side with it and everything is à la carte. Extensive drink menu as well. We had a great server! She definitely was working hard.

I stopped by Captain Tony's Saloon and it was such a fun, classic Key West experience…read more The vibe is exactly what you'd want, laid-back, a little quirky, and full of character. There was live music playing, pool tables, and even some video games, so there's plenty to keep you and the family entertained while you hang out. Kids are allowed in, but they aren't allowed to sit at the bar. It definitely feels like one of those places where you can lose track of time in the best way. They also have a merch area with hoodies, stickers, and other souvenirs if you want to take a little piece of the experience home. And knowing it's one of the oldest bars in the Keys just adds to the charm and history of the place. The service was quick, you walk up to the bar and order then find a place to sit. Super chill and laid back. One fun thing you have to try is tossing a quarter into the fish's mouth outside... test your luck and see if you can land it! Can't forget the drinks! The rum punch is to die for... super refreshing and perfect for the Key West heat. Overall, such a fun stop if you're in town. Definitely worth checking out! After walking around…read moreMallory Square and down Duval Street, we decided to have a drink at Captain Tony's before going out to a different restaurant for dinner. Of course it is an attraction because it is supposedly the original Sloppy Joes where Ernest Hemingway hung out. It is dark inside with low ceilings. People have hung paper currency all over and you will also see lots of bras hanging from the ceiling. There is live music and lots of people watching. We enjoyed our drinks and the fun atmosphere.

We went on Sunday evening around 6pm and were able to be seated right away. (We weren't sure if we were dressed appropriately.) They gave us an intro of their menu and shared favorites. We ordered the fourgasm and French kiss cocktails. It was so so so delicious. Our favorite was the red velvet cheesecake. We also got the key lime dessert. Overall, the food quality was okay. Portion sizes were average however, the Fish & Chips came with 2 small strips of fish buried under a thick layer of oily breading on top of a huge mound of fries. Once I unburied the fish it was tasty & fresh but not much of it. My husband enjoyed his shrimp scampi but it was seemed to be lacking something. Unfortunately, the service does not measure up to the type of restaurant they portray themselves to be. The server was not particularly friendly nor attentive. (No follow-up on drinks or service) We were asked by another friend to go to dinner last night and he suggested The Docks. We politely declined.
