Cool fans at the outside bar and Coldest beer on Front Street. I'd stop here anytime I'm in Key West.

First I want to thank all the wonderful employees that helped get my dog cooled down. You guys were the bomb! They sat us immediately near the fan and brought ice cold water. The water never stopped coming. Even tho I am a Floridian and I know better to walk around during the heat of the day , we decided to go out. Thank you so much again. The local fish dip was wonderful too. lol. Great southern hospitality. Thanks again. read more

One of THE best live music spots in KW. This is just one of those joints that we tend to hit at least a few times as the music is just always on spot. I stopped here for a quick drink. It was around 10am (coming from a cruise ship), so only the outside bar was open. The bartender was friendly, but my sangria was weak sauce. Not her fault, since sangria would be pre-made. Chatting with some of the other tourists was fun. This is definitely a tourist hangout. When I was here years ago, they sold some of their seasoning mix. I didn't notice anything like that this time. They had a small window that displayed a couple souvenir shirts only. read more

Twenty years ago my parents first experienced the amazing vibe of Hog's Breath Saloon, so this was a must stop on my first visit to Key West! Hog's Breath did not disappoint and gained another fan for life! The management at HB knows who their clientele are and caters to this group in all aspects of the saloon from the live bands performing to the amazing employees working to make one's visit great. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly and even the guy in the gift shop was fun to interact with while shopping.  The laid back dive bar vibe is just what a wandering traveler needs. The drinks are mixed just right and the beer is ice cold.   While this may be a "dive bar", they have the nicest restrooms in Key West! We enjoyed ourselves so much we stopped by two nights in a row on our short visit to KW.  Definitely a place I could be a regular at if I lived closer! read more

My review is strictly for entertainment and cocktails. We've been in town all week. We've managed to find ourselves back here almost every night because of the quality of the musicians on stage. The staff here is very attentive and friendly, and for that reason we really felt welcomed, even though it can get rather busy in the evenings, Brian, who I believe is one of the floor managers made a point of getting to know us through the week and we really enjoyed our conversations through the week with him. I drink cranberry with Tito all week and they were mixed very well, but never short and my wife found a new beer. She liked called crazy lady which is made locally here. If you're looking for a place to enjoy some live entertainment in the evening and a cocktail that's made fairly for a decent price. This is your place. read more

We really liked it here. Came here 2x. Drinks and luve music. Laid back open air environment. Easy to get bar seats both times. Would recommend. read more

FL "Hog's Breath is better than no breath at all." That's their slogan, not mine -- though after a few too many frozen drinks here, you might start to believe it. Welcome to the Hog's Breath Saloon, a Key West institution since 1988, where the vibe is laid-back, the music's loud, and the drinks flow like a Jimmy Buffett B-side. Everyone comes here at least once because, honestly, you kind of have to. It's not about gourmet cocktails or next-level cuisine -- it's about saying you were here. The history runs deep. Back in the late '80s, when Key West was still more pirate outpost than cruise-ship catnip, Hog's Breath carved out a name as the place for cold beer, live music, and a little too much sunscreen. Over the years, it's become a rite of passage: you stumble in, order a Hogarita (yes, that's really what they call it), grab a conch fritter, and pretend this is where Hemingway would've been if Sloppy Joe's was too crowded. Food-wise? It's... fine. Better-than-average bar food that does its job after a day of baking in the Key West sun. The fish tacos are decent, the pulled pork's solid, and the Key lime pie is there if you haven't hit your sugar quota yet. But let's be real: you're not here for a Michelin star. You're here for the vibe, the people-watching, and to say the phrase "Hog's Breath" out loud without laughing. Pro tip: Grab a spot at the outdoor bar if you can. It's the perfect place to sip a drink, soak up live island tunes, and overhear tourists argue about where the real Southernmost Point is (hint: it's not at the buoy). Hog's Breath Saloon: Come for the history, stay for the music, and leave with a T-shirt proving you were here. It's piggishly fun, mildly overrated, and exactly what Key West is all about. read more

This is an absolute must visit in Key West!! I knew about this bar but just so happened to stumble upon it while driving around our golf cart in key west. LOVED IT! Great music and even better drinks. The crowd was a fun atmosphere too. And the waitress was very nice!! We only stayed for drinks but I would recommend the visit. And you can keep your cup!! Tip: parking is right out front with a person on duty so we felt safe leaving items in our golf cart. read more

The Hog's Breath Saloon is an old bar but looks much older in the day time where you can easily see the age of withered wood but that's what gives the place its charm. We knew the bass player in the live band that was playing here and it was my birthday so we went to have fun and dance. The band was taking song requests and decided to give them a hard 80's song and they knocked it out of the park. The food is very basic and the chicken wings are great. The drinks are average and the prices are fair even for Key West. Had a fun time on my birthday and will always come back. read more

If you are visiting in Key West - Hog's Breath Saloon should be put in your itinerary of places to visit. I have been here at least a dozen or so more times. It is completely laid back, away from all the craziness on Duval Street. When you walk in it is completely unpretentious but full of personality. Just cold beer , strong drinks and live music. Food Wise, it is what you what expect, Bar Type Food - all good. Hog's Breath Saloon has a nice outdoor area that is where you will find Local Bands performing. The Gift Shop has all the Fun Touristy Clothing you can purchase. Hog's Breath isn't trying to impress anyone, and that's exactly why it does. It has that authentic, no-frills character that is increasingly rare--and in Key West, it fits right in. This place has been in business since the late 1980's, and there is a reason for that. read more

We stopped in here after a day of site seeing. When we walked in a lady yelled "KC in the house!" (we were wearing KC logoed shirts). We thought it was a little strange but kept walking. We sat at a t the smaller bar and started chatting with a couple who visited Key West a lot. Our bartender was also very friendly but paid a lot of attention to a couple at the other end of the bar. He explained after they left that they were influencers who came about once a month. We assumed they tipped well... The performer showed up and starting getting situated. Once he started singing, the lady that we thought was strange came over to talk with us. She explained that they were from St. Joseph (about 40 miles north of KC) and that the singer was actually her son (whew!). What a small world! I had a margarita and my husband drank beer (he really liked the Crazy Lady beer), and we enjoyed our drinks very much. We did not eat so I can't speak to the quality of the food. The atmosphere of the bar was great. The bars were packed and everyone seemed at ease and were enjoying themselves. read more

Nice place to grab a drink and hang out. Live entertainment, which is great. The live entertainment, however, is kind of tucked into a corner, and the way the place is laid out, it doesn't seem like it can have much of an audience. Bartender was great and the band was excellent- make it a top on your trip! Restrooms were clean for a bar doing that much business.

The hogs breast saloon is a great little bar in Key West. they have live music most every day. They have a full bar and traditional bar, food nachos, wings, and a mahi-mahi with tortilla chips. They have a handful of specialty cocktails. I tried the key lime cocktail. It was very good. Very tangy. There's parking outside that you would have to pay for there. There's a couple of different bars. They also have merchandise that you can buy. If you're interested, there's a live cam that plays every day but it's definitely a must try if you're in Key West. read more
