This is our second time here so decided write a review. You order the food separately from drinks/bar and they will bring it to your table. For beverages need see the bartender. I had hide away burger with bacon and onion. Handmade Beef patty not frozen stuff. The Onion rings very tasty and crunchy. My wife got the yellow tail fish with french fries. First time at sunset lounge today with my husband and we will definitely be returning! The bartender made me a margarita on the rocks that was sooo good. Me and my husband shared two appetizers, I had the peel and eat shrimp with old bay and he had the fully loaded fries. The shrimp were so big, juicy, and fresh I almost ordered another serving lol. I didn't care for the fully loaded fries but my husband demolished them. We both had the sunset burgers with everything on them and a order of funnel cake fries. Everything was delicious but the best part was definitely the view! This will probably be our new Friday date night spot. So glad we live on base and can eat here on the regular. read more

Not accessible to anyone unless they have a government ID card... However, if you can get on a military base, and happen to be in Key West, stop by the Sunset Lounge for the best sunset and cheapest drinks in town. Hardest-working bartenders on the island... I should know, because I was one of them a few years back. It's got a slightly "rustic" tiki-bar feel with a huge, beautiful patio out back. Perfect for group events. Its right next to the marina and stumbling-distance to the Navy Lodge. Now, they only serve in plastic cups--so don't expect a martini or a mojito. They MAY have food. It's on and off. It's typical bar food. Just something to soak up the liquor. I remember Karaoke night was on Wednesday. Some thing to avoid, or not, depending on your tastes. Now, tourists... you'll get them here... tons of them. However, they're all military and it's big enough you can stay out of each others' way. Also--they have video-trivia (Buzztime)! read more

Tiki style but with mesh around the sides where you can see out and enjoy its amazing ocean view but not be bothered by the wind the entire time. Thursdays is karaoke and they have live music Saturday and Sunday nights! The staff is very friendly and the food isn't your typical greasy bar food but we got a nice grouper basket and chicken sandwich complete with fries and all. Drink prices are unbeatable for the keys too. If your military active or retired or DoD I highly recommend getting away from the duval street congestion and craziness to relax and enjoy and amazing view and great company at the sunset lounge. read more

We enjoyed the coconut shrimp with the mango dipping sauce and three entrees: Ahi tuna, chicken wings and blackened snapper salad. Great place! Military ID required to get here. Had live music on a Thursday night. Beautiful location. Open area next to it where kids were running around. Got the chicken tenders and a burger. If you are not military or ex, you can't get in unless accompanied by a military personnel or ex. But if you can get in, ooohh llaa llaa. Skip the crowds at Mallory Square -- this is the place for people with military ID's to relax, have a drink or snack, and enjoy the sunset right on the water. Friendly place, casual, available waterfront tables on a weeknight.
