When this place opened up a few years back I thought great another tourist bar in Key West. But then after I visited a couple times I realize that it's actually a pretty fun place and it's not necessarily made for tourists. They have a single pool table on the side which gets constant use. The music is 90s grunge and metal. It's fun music. They have videos on the TVs to go with the music. The drinks are OK pretty standard downtown Key West drinks. This bar seems to catch more locals and tourists which is great in my book. There's a smoking patio outback which is nice. The seats in some of the tables are made out of tailgate of trucks which is kind of fun. They also sell cool T-shirts. It's worth a stop. read more

Decent little bar with a different vibe than many of the more touristy-focused bars in the area. It's a little darker, a little edgier, and quite a bit cheaper. Great staff, cool music, neat decor. There's a lot to like about this place. There's a pool table and an outdoor smoking area. Looked like a great place to chill with a frosty beverage and loud, hard-driving rock and roll, but this dirty, hole in the wall is anything but. If I wanted tiny, wayyyyy overpriced, watered down drinks, I'd have gone to the strip club! But then the music was awesome....... The greatest named bar in America. I have no idea what it is like but at 2 am, it becomes the after hours bar in Key West. The service is incredible, ask for Mark and Amy. Their hospitality is like nowhere else. They go out of their way to make you feel like locals even if you aren't anymore. This is the place to go regardless of age after 1 AM. Great open air bar for spending the afternoon people watching, watching the game or listening to good music. Has a "biker vibe" which fits this city well. Definitely a dive! Stopped there during the day a couple of times. Never busy... Don't know why? Maybe it's the location, or because it doesn't have the history of many often other taverns in the area. Walked in, asked to have the two outside TV's switched to the one game we wanted to watch, Pats VS Steelers, could be viewed without a palm tree obstruction... For the record, I really want to give this place 4 stars for many reasons, and it's not really their fault because it's a standard in Key West; but I can't stand smoking in bars. I live in LA so I'm used to a smoke free environment, which I guess makes me a bit of a snob in a dive bar. That's exactly what this place was, a dive. So don't expect frills or 5 star service. Expect strong, well priced drinks and great people to pass the time with. Both times we came here the girls behind the bar were friendly, balancing their time between locals and tourists like myself. They provide peanuts for munching and the shells go on the floor, so maybe you wouldn't come here if you had a peanut allergy. The decor was biker/rocker, complete motorcycles on the ceiling. The music was a mix of classic rock and some metal, though the vibe remained surprisingly light. Lots of windows and places to sit, including the tailgate of a truck built into a window! There was also a pool table that always seemed to have a crowd. Dog friendly! During my two visits here I saw at least 5 dogs, including one sitting at the bar with a little cup of beer in front of him. Definitely a local and he knew how to work the ladies. Several large TVs and enough space to feel comfortable in a bar during covid. staff was great and attentive and check was very reasonable to drinks purchased. Would def recommend coming here. Overall, this is a very cool bar. Great decor, great music and Tito's on tap! But! Visitors beware! Your experiences will vary. My friends and I are veteran travelers to Key West. Key West is by far the best, most friendly and eclectic place we choose to visit multiple times a year. We've been to Tattoos & Scars several times and have learned a couple of things about the bar's dynamics. If you stay within the lines and keep your interactions to the regular local faire of drinks, all will be good, Step outside the lines and ask for anything unusual, be prepared to receive less than acceptable service. In other words, we've learned not to engage with staff unless it's for the usual round of drinks. Should you step wrongly, don't bother voicing your complaint. Don't expect the above-and-beyond you might experience elsewhere. The staff doesn't handle criticism well. read more

We really like this place. Not only does it have a biker bar theme, they carry Three Olives Vodka. The staff is alwsys great and they allow dogs. There's no food but there's a great sausage cart outside and you can bring food in. A great ambience and a little off duval so the crowd is not as insane as some of the Duval bars. read more

Great little place with the best tag line. "Tattoos & Scars: every relationship ends with one or the other." The only reason T&S doesn't get five full stars is because there is no food available in the bar. You can catch the ladies in the food cart outside for some delicious nibbles, but nothing inside. Other than that, there are no complaints about this place! One of the very few places I've been that has their own signature beer--the T&S is a 5.3, very hoppy ale. Well crafted and extremely good (magnitudes above the basic American beers). They provide peanuts in the shell, which generally end up on the floor; the drinks are very good, not watered down; the staff is friendly. Talk to Missy and Joe if you go in late, and they'll just chat with you in between slinging beverages. read more

Came to watch NFL football on a Sunday and have a few drinks. The problem was that between 1pm and 4pm they only had one bartender working the majority of the time. When another bartender showed up, the other one disappeared, so they almost never were behind the bar at the same time. The bar runs then entire length of the place and nearly every seat was filled. I was looking for a place that I can drink and relax away from both the tourist and Duval Street. I found this place one block away from the famous "Sloppy Joe's". Tattoos & Scars Saloon have fair prices, great music, and the place is impeccable not trashy. The best thing about this place is the street food located in front of the bar. After drinking, I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak with a can of soda. I was very impressed with the food, and I am a sucker when it comes to street food. I like the décor, and the staff was friendly. I would visit this bar again next time I'm in Key West. read more
