I've been here a few times and it's always been reliable and interesting. I took a bunch of out of town friends here for brunch. I'm sorry I didn't take photographs! Two of them had the Rösti, which is always good. Another had the crab cake BLT, another had the couscous bowl. Everyone enjoyed their food but I have to say I had the best goat cheese salad I've ever had. No little crumbles or fried disks. This was a different goat cheese with a rind and gooey, warm insides like a Brie--only better. The dressing was light and delicious. Azur was great, the server was fantastic we ordered a couple cocktails to start (French 77 and the Brooklyn a riff on the Manhattan), both were very good. My wife ordered the goat cheese salad to start which she loved. For dinner my wife ordered risotto fruitti di mare and I had the special with Porgy, truffled mashed potatoes, and asparagus which was great. The mashed potatoes were amazing, I could have made that my entire meal. We ordered a bottle of Sancere which was excellent. We passed on dessert since we were full, and they brought us a complimentary crème brûlée which we of course sacrificed and ate the entire thing. We sat outside and it was very nice since we had a little breeze. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food (we have paid a lot more in other places for bad quality food). Traveling solo, I visited alone today, March 18 around 1:00 pm. The place was about 50% full inside and a few tables seated outside. I was greeted and seated. Knowing the server was busy, I made my selection with no questions and no special requests. My food arrived, Breakfast sandwich with fruit cup and the server was off to other tables. Hungry, I started eating without table service i.e. no napkin or service for the fruit cup. I used the sandwich sword to spear the fruit. The server returned when I was about 75% completed with my meal. At that point I asked for table service which was promptly provided. The food was really good. I don't blame the server as he appeared to be handling all the patrons alone. My issue is that this isn't the first time at any restaurant that I have noticed less than stellar service/attention paid to the lonely patron versus the larger parties. Freaky I am done with poor service. I didn't reflect the service in my tip because everyone has an off day. read more

As you can tell from my previous reviews of Azur, have had a long and mostly positive experience at Azur Three of us had dinner there last night I had a salad and roasted leg of duck. Salad was OK but the roasted duck was pretty awful. Came here on a Monday afternoon with my bf and we were seated right away. The place has indoor and outdoor seating but we sat inside and it's kind of tight. We were close to our neighbor's table. We ordered two dishes from their summer special menu ($10 each) which one included steak and fries and the other was like a hummus platter. The steak one was okay, the steak was very chewy but the hummus one was really good. We enjoyed that one. I ordered an orzo salad on the side and it was kind of bland. We ordered the Greek salad and it was delicious. It came with fried feta on top... never had that before but I loved it. Came back this past Monday and had horrible service with Maria outside. We love going to Azur for breakfast/brunch. It's a quaint and tremendous relief from the tourist chaos that most of Key West has become. The Key Lime French Toast is terrific and is made perfectly every time. It is such a treat! Another favorite is the Hash and Eggs made with slow-braised beef and black truffle hollandaise. Amazing! Azur is hidden away in Old Town near the seaport. Do yourself a favor and leave Duval St and the main Seaport to explore some fantastic restaurants just off the main streets like Azur! read more

Although it seems this is a more popular place for brunch, we made reservations for dinner on NYE. We asked to be seated outside and the host was kind enough to find us a nice table. As with most restaurants on NYE, they had a prix fixe menu ($110 for amuse bouche, first course, second course and dessert). The selection for first and second course was very good. The amuse bouche was a bit disappointing, but we all enjoyed our first course (goat cheese over arugula, pear frisée salad and oysters). The rack of lamb was a very generous portion but the reduction could have benefited from a bit more flavor. Similarly, I would probably not recommend ordering the gnocchi dish. The yellow snapper was nicely presented and paired well with the shrimp and caper butter sauce. Overall, a lovely meal for NYE. read more
