    Half of Cuban Sandwich

A hidden gem right off of duval. We saw all the great reviews and came in for lunch. It is an outdoor seating picnic table laid back vibe. Menu includes burgers, tacos, sandwiches, yuka fries, plantanes etc. My husband had the Cuban sandwich, I had the steak tacos that came with 2 tacos salsa/side of guacamole we also got a side of fried plantanes. Everything was really good even better than expected. The reason for the 4/5 is just the price. Was a little pricy for the amount of food you get/outdoor environment. We did enjoy our meal and would come back as well as reccomend, just for example 2 tacos for $16+ dollars is high even in Key West. 100% worth a try!

Wow. I am truly still speechless from how delicious Frita's is. I got a GF arepa with pork and a side of maduros, and you could instantly tell that the food was fresh and authentic. You order at the window and can sit on the quaint patio or take to-go. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but we didn't mind because everything was made fresh and came out piping hot. The prices were reasonable as well. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Key West!

Found out today the meaning of a Cuban Burger which consists of beef and pork with sauteed onions on Cuban bread served with shoestring potatoes. We stopped into Frita's Coffee Shop which was an interesting sight. The shop was in total disarray with cluttered clothing and a mish mosh of furniture (see pic to make your own decision). A wooden bar was visible but covered with various items. But I saw the espresso machine and ordered two shots from the barista. He did not know the origin of the beans although the blend was definitely dark roasted and tasty. The side of the shop was open garden type with red picnic table seating under a canopy with a small kitchen toward the back.

I LOVE FRITAS!! Right off Duval, you can't go wrong with stopping in and ordering anything off the menu. Their signatures include the Frida Cuban burger and the Cuban pork tacos, among other delicious items like empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, plantain and yuca, coffees, and desserts. Every time I'm fortunate enough to be in the Keys, I make it a priority to get to Fritas: you should too!

The best hidden gem in Key West!!! Very affordable and a wide array of options on their menu. My boyfriend ordered their cuban sandwich (which we're told is a fan favorite) and absolutely loved it. He quite literally scarfed down the whole thing (and it was a big sandwhich). I ordered their birria tacos which were wonderful and very filling. They came with a great mango coleslaw too. We also ordered a side of fries which were soooo yummy. I wish more restaurants made fries like these... clearly i'm still thinking about them. The waiter was very lovely and checked on us multiple times. We sat outside on their patio which was very cute! The waiter even brought out a fan for us because he could see we were hot, which was very nice. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be returning! This spot was my favorite out of the 4 spots we tried in Key West.

Cute tiny place selling burgers, empenadas and some other Cuban dishes. The food is good overall. The portion is tiny, but the prices are very good for this touristic area. You won't find anything more economical than this place on this prime street of key west.

The Cuban pork tacos were delicious! They give you a lot of meat and it is so flavorful! Great service- fast and friendly

First a shoutout to my boriqua brother, Henry, who made the experience perfect! If you're fortunate to have him as your waiter, he is very welcoming and friendly. The food... OMG! It's off the hook (check out the pictures). I had their popular El Fuego Frita (perfect taste) and my wife had the Cuban, which was amazing. Their sangria was perfect and had mango and cinnamon (that was such a nice touch). Anyway, if you are in Key West, you must check out this little gem! You won't regret it!

Absolutely amazing food! It's a Cuban, Central American, South American fusion at its best!! Try the elite dip, sampler, and the empanadas!! Best food so far! Great service as well! Henry was an amazing server!

Delicious! The plantains were amazing. Also got the Cuban sandwich and fish tacos. There isn't a ton of seating and it's not terribly comfortable but it's definitely a good place to go to on a nice day!

Phenomenal food and excellent service! I ordered the Cuban Pork Tacos and my sis ordered the Yuca fries and Cuban Sandwich. We ended up splitting both and they were equally amazing! Definitely will visit this place next time I am in KW!

Cuban sandwich, churros and guacamole was amazing. Little place on a side street and so worth it! Service was spectacular as well. Would highly recommend this place!

We came here for lunch after a long day of walking around Key West. The seating is outdoors only and it's quite hidden to find this place. Otherwise the service was great and quick. It did take them a while to make the food since everything is made fresh. I got the chicken tacos and the aioli sauce in it was my favorite flavoring they put in it. I highly recommend if you want homemade food!

Can we bring our dog on the outside patio?

I am pretty sure that would be fine. Key West is "low key and casual". There is also one seating area out front at a window and you could possibly also sit there. Worst case scenario get take out and eat on a bench nearby. Frita's is SO GOOD!

We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

While it was enjoyable, nothing really stood out as extraordinary or memorable. I'm very active and finding protein options while traveling can be tough, but they accommodated my diet perfectly without needing to make modifications. The breakfast bowl with tofu is amazing, and the veggie burger is hands down one of the best I've had, and they recently switched to gluten free breadcrumbs as a binder so it's truly gluten free! 11/10 on the service scale as they started remembering my order and making me feel at home! They give out cool names for those waiting for tables, and the overall vibe here is not a tacky island style restaurant, more of a local, hometown, favorite. Their bakery items include plenty of options for gluten free guests, and everything I had from there was also amazing. Highly recommend!

They all were pretty good but nothing stood out. The star of the show that is pictured is their infamous Key Lime Pie. This pie was a hefty slice ($13) and more than enough to share. The meringue was toasted perfectly, the filling had a delicious tartness to it but the crust was so hard! We could barely cut the bottom of the pie because this crust was so hard. Eventually, we just ate the filling and meringue without the crust due to the hassle. I wasn't as amazed as I expected to be from the praises this restaurant gets but I would be willing to try again. Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.
