Tostones with avocado and shrimp very delicious
    Mario M.

This place was a great choice by accident. I was working in the keys and I needed to eat dinner before my long drive home. Very nice staff, the place was very clean, and food was very delicious, I do recommend to eat here and I noticed that is next to the marathon lady a fishing charter boat. That's even better. Well that's all got say. Thank you and God bless.

    Breakfast tacos

This was a perfect place for Caribbean breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast tacos. Which were light and delicious. And of course my cafe con leche! Small place, but great to go with a small group. Indoor seating only. Service was great too. Would go back!

The sitting area, and the cashier booth. The treats' rack.

The 2 plates looked as though they came from different kitchens. Hers was perfect. Large eggs, soft yolks, abundant meat. Mine was almost edible. Eggs the size of a golf ball. Hard yolks. Beef had the texture of shoe leather. Potato pancakes were tolerable. Service was par. Nothing special. Have eaten here many times before with no gripes. Not sure if I'll return. Grapefruit crush was excellent.

We started with the best coconut shrimp I think I've ever had. It's the famous pink shrimp of Florida & the coconut breading was divine ! light, delicate crispy, served with a tasty mango chutney, dipping sauce, just perfection. by the way, this went perfectly with a crisp, white wine and my husband's tropical drink. Next, we had to get an order of the delish oysters Rockefeller, smothered with creamy spinach, and tons of lemon juice. Wow those gulf oysters are wonderful ! So Tender. For our main, we got the Grouper Fish Sammie's with fries & coleslaw. I had mine blackened, and my husband went with classic. The fish was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. Don't miss this gem on your way down the keys.

Sandwich was killer!!! Cute how they stamp it with restaurant name. Fries were hot and tasty. Grabbed some fresh fish from the case to go. Beautiful selection of fresh fish. Some of the best. I recently visited Fishtails and unfortunately left quite disappointed. Given how busy the…read morerestaurant was, I had high expectations--but the experience did not match the crowd. I ordered the grouper, which is typically a highlight in the Florida Keys, but it lacked even basic seasoning and fell flat in flavor. The coleslaw was noticeably too sweet for my taste, and the potato salad included green peppers, which is an unusual choice and didn't complement the dish well. The service also left much to be desired. Our waitress was inattentive and provided very little information throughout the meal. Most concerning was that we left a significant portion of our food untouched, yet she never checked in or asked if anything was wrong--something I would expect at any restaurant, especially one as busy as this. Overall, while the atmosphere may draw a crowd, the food quality and service did not meet expectations. For comparison, I've had a far better grouper sandwich at Keys Fisheries Market & Marina, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope improvements can be made, as this location clearly has potential. Respond to owner, your response is your opinion, I have no reason to give bad information, if you watched your video as you stated you would have been able to see my friend and I dusguessing the food, also she never refilled our tea as frankly we didn't even drink it all. A good and attentive waitress could have mentioned that it came with coleslaw not to give two portions. It's whatever sir and if you want to get more technical, they grouper was fishy tasting and still had the dark vein line down the filet.

Outside seating area offers great views, but we took an inside table and the vibe was still awesome. Live music was great. Our server Zach was on the mark; checked on us frequently and took care of any requests quickly, and a very friendly dude. We tried: Sparky's Sunset and Coconut Margarita - both very good. Tuna tartare - the sesame sauce wasn't my favorite, but the tuna was fresh and tender. Coconut Shrimp - HUGE shrimp, nice toasty coconut crust, and the sweet chili sauce was a great compliment. 1/2 lb Peel and Eat Shrimp - these were served with butter, cocktail sauce, lemon, and a little cup of add-it-if-you-want cajun seasoning. I tried them all and loved the options. Bacon-wrapped Scallops - these were fantastic!! Super crunchy bacon on the outside, perfectly cooked scallops on the inside. Buffalo Chicken Wings - these had really good flavor, but the skins were a bit tough. Sparky's will be our very first stop on our next stay in the Keys.

The fish tacos had great flavor as did the chicken and waffles. The blackened grouper sandwich was a little bland and the crab cake Benedict could have done without the Canadian bacon. Eat inside - the heat on the deck may have impacted our appetites.
