We also got the tuna sushi burrito that was absolutely delish to the point that we were fighting over the last bite. Visited over Fourth of July weekend, and it was a highlight of our four-day trip to the Keys. We swung by twice, enchanted by the amazing outdoor atmosphere. The connection to a little store, delightful coffee shop, and inviting outdoor spaces made it even better. While I don't recall interacting much with the staff, there's not a single negative thing to say about this place! We came here twice, first on a food walking tour and then today. The Cayo Hueso tacos are amazing. The tortillas are the essence of corn. The fish was cooked properly and the sauce and toppings were well balanced with just enough heat. We've heard so much about this place and finally had the chance to try it. Such a cute spot, tucked away behind another building off of the Overseas Highway in Islamorada. It's outside seating only but even on the hottest of days, you can find a shady spot accompanied with a little ocean breeze. My hubby and I shared the fresh chips and guacamole and a wagyu beef burrito with fresh tomatillo salsa verde. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The tortilla itself tasted homemade as did the warm fresh corn chips served with the guac . It is very pricey for what is normally inexpensive "street food" but that's to be expected here in the Keys. We also ordered some refreshing beverages and really enjoyed the ambiance and coziness off the place. We will most certainly be back to try some of the other menu items. The sushi looked amazing and that's hard to come by around here. I heard they have another location in Key West if you're visiting there. Sorry this photo is of the finished bowl -- but it was superb and unexpected so I neglected to take a before picture. I had the Tuna Poke Bowl and included a before picture. My lunch partner had the Salmon Poke Bowl and consistency across the bowls was absolutely there all the way down to the sticky rice bottom layer. The atmosphere is outdoors, shaded amongst a variety of Florida plantings. We sat comfortably in the shade at a nicely painted and clean picnic table. This is another cute and unique little spot to eat in Islamorada that I would definitely frequent if I lived here. Not sure if Chipotle is a thing down south but there are not many burritos that hold a candle to it for me but this place definitely does the trick! Plenty of options, with fresh fish as well as veggies so I felt full when I left but not overly so. I also really liked the ability to order freshly squeezed juice. I ordered the fish of the day burrito which was yellow tail and got it with pineapple salsa, radishes, cilantro, slaw, rice, and cheddar. The Google reviews kind of lied regarding the service. The service was indeed slow, especially for the burritos orders. I waited 33 mins just to get two burritos. Every once in a while you come across a place that just knocks your socks off in terms of meeting and exceeding your expectations, Bad Boy Burrito is just such a place!!! We decided on this place because of the great Yelp reviews and they certainly lived up to their well deserved reputation. We shared the Cayo Hueso Tacos for $16. The fish was Yellow Snapper caught locally, Salsa Verde, Queso Fresco, Shaved Cabbage, Chopped Red Onion, Sour Cream, Sliced Radish, Jalapeños and Cilantro sitting in a hand made corn tortilla. The basmati rice and Black beans were a wonderful addition to this amazing dish! We also shared the Yucatán Style Pork Tacos for $12. This is an awesome combination of shredded pork, red onion Escabeche, sliced jalapeños and cilantro inside of a street taco. Be warned, there is some subtle heat in this dish on the back end but the flavor is well worth giving it a try even if spicy is not your thing. The prices were more than fair in consideration of what was offered. The staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations if you're on the fence about what you want to try. We highly recommend this place especially since they are a small business. When you patronize small businesses you help the local economy and that's what it's all about!!! read more

A couple of shops in the area to browse before or after your visit. The guac and chips are great! I am a fan of thin cantina style tortilla chips. A small was enough for two people to share.
