Updating my review from yesterday after our family had lunch there today. My husband and son both had chicken burritos and I had carnitas tacos. We also had chips and guacamole. Everything was delicious! One of our best meals in the keys. Food was fast and outdoor seating pleasant. -- Our second food truck in a row that was closed when they were supposed to be open. Food was fantastic. We've been down here a week and it was easily the best meal of the entire trip. Traditional style steak taco with onion and cilantro on acorn tortilla. The homemade hot sauce had great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. read more

Food was okay (not spectacular, not terrible). Service was pleasant. However, it was not until we got back to our hotel that I noticed that the proprietor gave himself a 19% tip without asking or discussing with me. I gave him my credit card, and he ran the card and gave the machine to me to sign. Machine didn't even give me an option to tip. I didn't realize until later that this was because he had already tipped himself. read more

Ordered a mixture of menu items: fish tacos, shrimp tacos, Al pastor, chicken tacos and the kids had quesadillas. Service is super quick and we were sad we only got to eat here once. I saw this local small business with a small amount of reviews and everyone said the same thing, "This place is so good. This is a must stop." I for one, absolutely agree with that sentiment. You must stop here ASAP!!! The first day we we went we orders a bunch of tacos for everyone to try in our group. Along with some of the frozen fruit bars. We ordered and sat in the hut eating our fruit popsicles and they were packed with so much fresh fruit and flavorful, that they were gone in a few minutes. Must try the Mamey and passion fruit mango because they were insane!!! We got our food to go, which was fine since we were staying 5 minutes down the road. We got back and opened up containers of heavenly food who's aroma permeated through the car making all 4 of us so hungry. Every taco has meat that is seasoned so well that it is packed with flavor. My favorite was the carnitas with the most flavorful and juicy pork I have ever tasted. BE SURE to get the green and red salsa as well because both are crazy good on any taco. The tacos were so good we went back the following day to try the quesadillas. We got 1 chicken and 1 Asada quesadilla. They were both packed with meat, cheese, onions and peppers. The Asada stole the show but don't let that fool you, the chicken was also delicious. If it is available, do yourself a favor and get the elote / corn in a cup. Squeeze the lime into it and have your life changed because of how good that corn is. You can thank me later. This place deserves every penny they get and more! Support a small local business because they deserve it. Insane flavor, insane food, take my money! I'll be back again some day. lol read more

Struggled a lot to find good food in Marathon, but then found this place on the way out. Where had you been for the past 1 week. Guy was super nice patient while we were deciding what to eat, and then offered us a sample of horchata when we couldn't decide what we wanted to drink. Brief menu but everything you want. Cute little sitting area, one with more shade than the other. We got a chorizo torta. The bread was super soft, and the sour cream and cheese wasn't overwhelming at all like I've seen in other tortas - actually felt fresh and light which was a surprise. Also had a chicken burrito which was delicious - nicely browned on the outside but not at all dry on the inside. Two salsas were with everything neither of which was overly spicy but nice flavors. Also got a side order of spiced fries - nicely fried and with a mysterious seasoning on top which was delicious and not too salty. The horchata as previously mentioned was fantastic - slightly spiced, refreshing. Cons? If you're driving too fast you might miss the sign and have to take a big uturn. But you should definitely take the UTurn and come back. It was fantastic (and we have great food of this variety at home) and gave my home restaurants a real run for their money. read more

Strong four or more for the closest thing to authentic tacos I've seen in the Keys though I was sort of surprised the quesadilla and burrito came with fries instead of rice and beans?! ...but they were delicious fresh hot dropped fries, yumn. Tacos were on the money with the radish and pickled onions; chicken, beef, chorizo, Loved them. Quesadilla was good as were the salsas. Overall, really very good. Could be cheap eats too, if you went for three tacos and a drink. Yum! 4 something stars rounded up to 5. There are only a handful of Mexican eateries in the Keys, so this food truck is a nice addition. I highly recommend the tacos, which are $2.50 each. I enjoyed the chicken and Asada tacos. I think they try to make it as authentic as possible. It was great that they included a lot of radishes and pickled onions. Also, the salsas are delicious - I prefer their pineapple sauce. The staff is super nice. The owner even came around and talked to us for a short while. I would definitely come back. read more

It is the best Mexican food in Marathon and Lower Keys that I have had. It's not near as good as up in Homestead at some of the taquerias, but it's suitable for here. Pricey, yet ample quantities. They have the tips on the iPad when you go to pay, and you pay before you get your food, which feels like tip extortion! I think it is ridiculous to tip a food truck! Don't miss this little gem!! Flavorful tacos for a great price! Tried one of each - all were delicious but the carne asada took the prize topped with carmelized onions and cilantro. Meat tender and full of flavor! The carnitas also great topped with pickled red onions. And the chicken was shredded and nicely spiced. You can't go wrong! And they even decorated our drink bottles. Nothing goes with a taco like a grapefruit jarritos. There was also a covered seating with a great breeze. Only open 10-4 so go early! We will definitely be back!
