I've mentioned before how I'm hard on bbq joints.... This review will reflect that. It is attached…read moreto Green Turtle -which has never let me down... so I had reasonable hopes. But unfortunately it's some of the worse bbq I've ever had.... Burn ends? Deep fried? No...... pull pork was slathered in a terrible sauce that I hope they got from a jar and didn't spend time making. .... Service was great though, had a cool vibe, but short of that, I'll have to go someplace else to eat. If you're from NY you'll love it, if you're from the south.... Keep driving..... if you're from Texas - don't chu dare.... Burn ends F Pulled pork D Tater tots B

I was attracted to The Nest by their promotional signage outside. Thought it was the Green Turtle…read moreInn but they are a separate restaurant and close early so I had to re-read the sign and saw that The Nest is the place for the promotions. Went in for their happy hour and ordered the smoked wings. It was a great deal for 6 good size wings for only $5. You can't get a wing for under a dollar anymore these days so I decided to try them out since they're a BBQ spot and probably smoked the wings pretty good. I was surprised to find out that they make their own blue cheese and ranch sauces. They were super good and haven't had great ranch and blue cheese sauce with a bunch of decent sized blue cheese chunks in a while. I also tried their BBQ sauce and it wasn't bad, not too sweet and pretty smokey. Great deals on a pint ($5) and pitcher ($16) of Florida Keys Brewing Co beers. I think it may even beat the actual brewery's prices. I noticed their AC was blowing pretty good and strong. It was a cooler day when I went so I got a little chilly but I'm sure that is a huge bonus when it's the hot summer time there. The bartender was busy with all the football games playing on the big TVs but she was attentive and seemed to have given me the best service she could. I was very pleased with this establishment and would like to come back again.

The buzz in the restaurant and bar area is contagious reminiscent of the lively chaos in your mom's kitchen during Thanksgiving. The food was nearly flawless. I started with the Caesar Salad and bruschetta both simply delicious. The dressing was perfectly tangy, and the bruschetta was generously portioned and expertly seasoned. For my main, I chose the Eggplant Parm, an enormous portion. The cheese was generously layered, perhaps more than usual. The dish was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. The sauce had a nice kick without being spicy. My mom ordered the Capellini Primavera, substituting pink cream sauce for oil and adding plenty of garlic; another huge portion. Absolutely loved it. A solid 10/10. Anna, our waitress, was outstanding, serving with remarkable speed and warm professionalism. Regret not taking pictures of our dish!!

This Italian restaurant is the kind of place that quietly ruins other Italian restaurants for you…read more The food isn't just "good" or "solid." It's cooked to perfection. The pasta has that exact bite it's supposed to have. The sauces taste like someone's nonna has been guarding the recipe since 1952. Everything feels authentic, not in the gimmicky, red-checkered-tablecloth way, but in the "this is how it's actually done" way. The atmosphere seals the deal. It's warm, cozy, and welcoming without trying too hard. Soft lighting, relaxed energy, the kind of place where you sit down for dinner and somehow three hours disappear. It feels intimate without being cramped, lively without being loud. You can have a real conversation without shouting over someone's birthday party. And then there's the wine situation, which is almost absurd in the best way. The bottles are sold at cost. At cost. Like they woke up and decided profit margins were optional. The selection is massive, stretching across regions and styles, and staring at the list is borderline overwhelming. In a good way. Whether you're a casual sipper or someone who can pronounce Montepulciano correctly, you'll find something exceptional. In short: authentic food, flawless execution, cozy atmosphere, and a wine list that feels like you stumbled into a secret. It's the kind of place you want to gatekeep... but also immediately tell everyone about.
