Out here visiting friends in key largo. This was towards the end of the week long trip so got to try food around the keys. We're from Southern California. Mexican food and Mexican food trucks everywhere especially where I live Coachella valley. Honestly wasn't really too pleased with most of the food offerings in the keys. So when we decided on this I was fine with it because it seemed simple and hard to mess up. And yeah it was what I expected and I was happy with it . Service was somewhat quick. This truck started small and has since expanded to three locations throughout the Keys. They've grown for a reason: authentic and flavorful tacos. Man, this is the perfect fast lunch option in Key Largo. We stopped by for some tacos and they hit the spot. The staff was so friendly and efficient, and our order was ready quick. This is not my first time going and it never disappoints. Everyone is very nice and although a food truck they have a seating area outside. The food is great the chips are perfect and I'm a big fan on the guacamole, I didn't love the queso but other I was with loved it. The mahi tacos were good and I LOVED the Al pastor taco as well. Our first night in Key Largo, we just wanted something light and easy and I noticed Tacos Jalisco on yelp. We were happy we did. I had a carne asada, a lengua, and a el pastor taco, and my wife had a burrito. I was thinking being a food truck we'd be eating standing, but they had a nice little covered area with picnic benches which was perfect. The food came out quickly and they even brought it to us. This is mine and my husband's favorite place to eat! Even though it's a food truck, we'll pick Tacos Jalisco over a sit-down or fast food spot any day! The tacos and burritos are absolutely delicious, amazing flavor and always fresh. Their homemade pico and salsas are delicious. They also have homemade horchata and juice, I love the pineapple and watermelon juice but they have many different flavors depending on the day and season. The staff is AMAZING, so friendly, funny and they make the experience even better. There's a covered seating area too, so you can enjoy your food without worrying about the sun or rain. Thanks to checking out other Yelper's Reviews, we decided to check out Tacos Jalisco. It was so very, very good. We tried the special of the day taco - bacon, meat and more - it was so good. Also a chicken burrito. Medium sauce to add make them both even more yummy. Oh, and the guacamole!! One of the better ones I've tasted in a long time - and with super crunchy tortilla chips. Service was so very good - the young person who took our order and then another brought us the food; checked to see if all was well. We tasted at the truck that is only a mile from the campground, and the next day we realized that there is also a truck at a brewery - we'll be there next year for sure! read more

They're typical street style tacos with an ample amount of meat per taco. I do wish they doubled up their tortillas and had slices of radishes though. Maybe that's just a SoCal thing? Lengua is my absolute favorite and I'm glad they had them. They were $4/taco. Chips were delicious - extra crispy. I saw one review suggest they serve bottled water and I agree. I came to this food truck as a catch up spot for my girlfriends and I and immediately thought the set up was adorable and well executed. They had a little patio set up next to the food truck w/ industrial sized fans and ample space for seating. The guys that were running the truck were also very nice and would come to the table to drop off the plates and pick up the used ones every so often. I hate to be the party pooper but there's better tacos in Miami. The food quality was no more than alright, insanely enough, I felt it was missing the savoriness. I got the taco de lengua, taco con carne asada, and the 2 fish tacos w guac and chips. The guacamole was really creamy with the typical onions and tomatoes. It was ok, I think it was missing some salt and pepper. The chips were good! Really nice and crispy and lightly salted The pescado tacos were pretty good, the fish was well seasoned and the tortilla was delicious (maíz tortillas). The carne asada and the lengua ones were the ones that made me deduct the ratings. They were both cooked to perfection temperature and texture wise, but the flavor wasn't hitting. Moral of the story, the service and ambience were nice, but for my humble opinion, the food was overhyped in the previous reviews. If people love it, then congratulations and I sincerely hope the business continues to thrive!! read more
