We used Pinderi in April 2019 for our move and Junk hauling. They helped move two truckloads from Greenbelt to Elkridge. Junk was also removed from both places. The junk at the new house had to be deconstructed prior to removal and they took care of that as well. Rez and his company were all very friendly and an ease to deal with. So, I'm conflicted about writing this review. Before I start my review of this company's moving services, I want to say that Pinderi & Co, from the person who answers the phone, to the two gentleman that came to my home, are the nicest and most customer service-friendly people I've encountered in a long time. It is clear that they not only care about their customers, they also care about the planet and ensure that every item they haul from your home is recycled. However, I did not use them for junk-hauling (but I will if I ever need that service), I used them for their residential moving services. First, I want to provide my moving history for credibility. I have moved 14 times in my lifetime, 6 times as an adult and 3 times in the past 7 years. I have used moving companies 5 times and I now realize how important using an experienced moving company is - I had never considered that before. I just assumed that if you call yourself a professional mover - then you would know more than me about moving, since I don't move people for a living. First, these two kind and soft-spoken gentleman came with only a hand truck and a small dolly. No blankets, wrap, tape, or other specialized items that make moving items more protected and efficient. During my last move in 2013, the moving company I used had all 60 something boxes loaded on the truck within 45 minutes. They came with all sorts of stuff that made moving efficient. They had this dolly that was so large that they could put about 9 large boxes on at once. They wrapped all furniture and knew to completely load the elevator and not take it down after each small load. We had to inform the Pinderi & Co gentleman twice to completely load the elevator before taking it upstairs (I was moving to another unit within the same building). They didn't wrap any dressers (drawers swinging open, etc), cabinets or TV's. They were so inefficient, that we had to ask them to stop after about 6.5. - 7 hours (not including their 75 min break), because it was getting too expensive. We had to make the hard decision to move the rest of the stuff ourselves which is completely insane considering the enormous amount of money we paid them. Now, let me say that these two men worked SUPER hard (which is why I still tipped them). But, because of their inefficiency and a serious lack of moving experience, it cost us $850 (without tip) which is over $300 more than any other company we've ever used in the past (and we didn't have to move any of our own things). Yes, we had a lot of stuff, but besides a couple of extra boxes (about 10 more), the amount of everything else was the same as our previous moves. We did not purchase any new furniture in the past 6 years. Do I believe with time and experience they will be a great moving company one day? Yes, I have no doubts about that. But you can't wake up one day, buy a hand truck and call yourself a professional moving company without first getting experience. Now, should YOU use them for moving services while they are still learning that part of their business? I'll leave that decision up to you. Being super nice is great - but I'll take "not as nice" if you know what you're doing and it will save me over $300 dollars. My pockets will be feeling this really bad decision for some time. I should have checked out their experience first - my bad. Would you want a surgeon who is friendly but inexperienced or not as friendly and experienced? Need junk hauled? Call them!
