I'm not one to write poor reviews, but after my experience I feel compelled to leave a review. Pinchers is a super popular place in the area and after a few people raved about it, I figured I'd go try it out for myself. To start with, the waiter was respectful very nice experience there. It all started to go downhill when the food and drinks got brought out.. I was out with my friends and all of a sudden we start seeing these floating particles in our waters, I couldn't identify exactly what they were but you could tell it was dirty and very poorly cleaned/sanitized, after that we then received our food and discovered that the silverware was disgusting and poorly cleaned, which I don't know about you, but that really ruined our experience as cleanliness is very important especially when eating in a restaurant. I hope pinchers realizes this and works to fix this problem, as it is a really nice place with nice scenery that sits right on the water. Until then I would not recommend. read more

We went there on father's day and our server was excited to say they had a piece of key lime pie for both dads in our party. What a great atmosphere to begin pur night. When we got our food one of our plates had ice cold mashed potatoes and the server said she would be right back with a replacement. 15min later we had to ask about the mashed potatoes and she said the cooks could not find a bowl to put them in???? Right as we finished our server brought the potatoes and told us there was no more key lime pie and to have a good night!?!? No apology or anything. After speaking to the manager we were able to make things a little better. Just do not promise people something if you are not positive. Could have been a great experience.. read more

What a great restaurant! Visiting our cousin in Venice - we are from Chicago and know great food!! So fabulous I just had to post!! Cousin and I had shrimp scampi and hubby had BBQ ribs. Ribs are falling off the bone with BBQ sauce that could or should win awards!! Shrimp scampi is done to perfection with just the right amount of garlic. Today Veterans Day 2019, they offer a free meal to all Vets. They open up 11an so we get there at 11 am. Order our food 35 minutes later they bring me my crab cake sandwich ice cold entire meal. Told the waiter he offered to make a new one but could not say that it would be made fast do to customers ahead. I explained I could not wait another 30 minutes. My wife salad was very good, I asked for the check and my sandwich was on the bill, when I questioned the charge I was told they would take the sandwich off the bill for Veterans Day but they charged me for my cup of soup. It's waterfront dining (well....it's on a retention pond, but that counts) with a flair for interesting seafood fare. The blue Crabs are plentiful and they have a decent happy hour with 2 for 1 drinks and a special appetizer menu. Definitely worth checking out. read more

A group of five of us visited in April and took a while to be seated but it was all fantastic after that. The service was quick and the staff extraordinarily friendly. Of course, we were here for the food and it did not disappoint. The double blackened snapper was excellent as was all the dishes. Everyone loved their sides but I think the mashed garlic potatoes deserve special mention. The inside decor was quite casual in slight contrast to the exterior which suggests a more formal setting. We were so sad when Robbies Reef closed overnight. Pinchers moved in a few weeks later and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we have tried. Great fried fish, coconut shrimp, 2 for 1 margaritas and sangria. To top it off kids eat for free with an adult dinner. You can't beat that! read more

Dinner was a little disappointing. Ordered the Black Grouper grilled with a side salad with Balsamic vinegar on the side, simple enough. When a different server delivered the meal I questioned her on the side dressing which was a balsamic vinaigrette. I questioned the server, who said Yes, they had just balsamic vinegar and she would bring some out. Never saw her or our regular server again until the check came. Very disappointed. First time there. I ordered the shrimp your way..I picked scampi. The picture showed skewers of shrimp and the server referred to them as skewers. When it came it was 8 small shrimp swimming in a bowl of bland oil..yuck!. Way over priced for what you got. Service was very slow, lots of people waiting for their checks and people waiting for tables. On top of that they didn't return my credit card with my bill at the end. We ate here last night with a group of 12. We did the call ahead and shortly after we arrived were all seated together at long high tops. Perfect! Our waitress Inga was amazing! Very efficient and friendly. There was much debate on everyone's choices as the menu is quite extensive. You can have shrimp any way you could imagine. I had the boom boom shrimp and it was the best I've had. Fries and the new Brocolli salad made a perfect meal. My husband had the fried oysters and said they were very good. We ordered the conch fritters for as appetizer, they were ok but the dipping sauce was extremely salty. We then ordered the crab corn chowder... it too was salty and no crab... loaded with corn! My husband ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and green beans. The crab cakes were not tasty and over cooked and dry.
