    Four Formaggi / Four Cheese

Don't pass up this restaurant in historic downtown Venice. It's at the end of the strip so you gotta keep walking past all the other really good Italian restaurants. Keep walking, it's worth it! I had the Quattro Formaggi pizza. The pizza crust was perfect-just the right thickness and crispy. Our waiter said the pizza is outstanding because they use water that has been filtered multiple times. (I also appreciated that the drinking water is filtered also). I added the fresh tomatoes that are brought to the table with fresh bread. I also liked the oregano and basil shakers at that table. Good service, sat outside on another gorgeous day in Florida. Definitely want to return to try other menu options.

Great little casual Italian ... not overpriced as many are. House salads have nice fresh greens. Great serving too.

Can't beat 2 big slices for $7, great and crispy aswell . Fairly fast aswell ! Not a pristine restaurant but it's homey and gets the job done !

Braised beef ravioli and mushroom pappardalle. Half portions split with my wife. Delicious.

Small place, food was great. We split the braised beef ravioli (my favorite), the mushroom pappardelle and a sausage pizza. All were excellent.

The food was very disappointing. We tried the chicken parmesan, shrimp pasta, and pasta with clams, and none of the dishes tasted good. On top of that, the food was served cold, which made the experience even worse.

I ordered a cheese pizza and a margherita. The pizza was OK, typical for a Florida Italian restaurant pizza. Crust could have been crispier but that's the usual down here. I'll round up to 3 stars for the pizza because I can't give 2.5. 0/5 for effort and presentation on the margherita.

Literally hotties book club where I was a guest speaker.

Was invited to speak at the liter hotties book club. The service was great and the staff never missed a step in serving us. The lunch special was $20 for salad, soup and half a lasagna. There was enough food to satisfy and the food was fine. Nothing over the top. They do serve beer and wine and there was plenty of seating available although we did make reservations just to be safe since we were a group of six. Rumor has it they are known for their pizza which I never got to try. So that will mean another trip. It's definitely worth a second visit.

I really love this quaint restaurant. It is small-but makes up for it with BIG flavor! The Lasagna here is awesome! We also had the pizza, and it was terrific!

Service was superb at this bustling little restaurant! It's not fancy, but it was very inviting everyone from the host to the waiter to the very nice lady busing the table was extremely accommodating and kind. It's owned by a guy who has restaurants all over the country and also in Italy, but this is definitely an Americanized version of Italian food. That said, it was great - every person enjoyed their meal. Gluten-free penne pasta with tomato sauce and pinenuts : the gluten-free pasta is very good, as was the sauce, but it was decidedly lacking in pinenuts 4/5 lobster ravioli: this comes with either soup or salad, I got the salad which was quite good, but came without dressing? Not sure if that was a mistake, but I did just use the oil and vinegar that was on the table and a bit of salt and pepper, and it was really fresh. The lobster ravioli is absolutely decadent, the ravioli are absolutely stuffed with big pieces of lobster, the vodka sauce is so rich and creamy. I couldn't ask for more with this dish it was truly exceptional. However, if you get a stomachache from rich food, you might want to split this one. 5/5 5/5

We spent the day at Venice Beach yesterday and wanted something to eat before we drove home. The location of this place is fantastic. It is just a hop, skip, and jump from the beach with plenty of parking around the general vicinity. It's a quaint little place that offers both indoor and outdoor dining. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. Not just by the host but by every single staff member that saw us. The servers were quick and attentive which meant we waited for nothing. We kept it simple. We ordered a supreme pizza and split it. I can't speak for pastas, soups, salads, or desserts, but the pizza was fantastic. It came out piping hot. The crust was amazing; thin, crispy, and flavorful. This pizza really rounded off a great day at the beach. I'd love to say that next time we are in Venice, we are going to stop by and try some of their other menu items, but we won't because we will be coming back for this pizza!

Two women and three girls! Venice Avenue was crowded on this gorgeous early evening. I had chosen this restaurant due to its great Gluten-free options and kids' menu. Wow--did it deliver on those with a most attentive server. This is classic Italian comfort food--and the GF versions were excellent. Especially the GF pizza and focaccia. I had the regular Lasagna with Bolognese and it was yummy! Yes, there may be a more "gourmet" fine dining Italian place down the street, but Made in Italy did a great Valentine's feast for us. The entire restaurant was packed and the vibes of love were everywhere! And the server was so sweet to our 6 year old twins and 4 year old sister! And BTW the cucumber skinny martini was fabulous!

We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 HUGE rice balls and they were delightful! The sausage and cheese were a perfect combination. The Caprese salad was very good. As for the pizza. I wish we'd eaten there because by the time we got home, it wasn't crispy anymore; but the combination of flavors, including the crust, was excellent. They even included sliced bread with oil & vinegar for dipping. We will definitely return on our next trip to Venice! Delizioso!

My Ravioli di Mare was delicious with excellent sauce - shrimp were decent - doubt if they're local. My partner's Strozzapreti Chianti was also an excellent choice. Very nice noodles. Salads were very good. Drinks were good. Restaurant was nice. The not so good - I made a reservation for two. So when we got there only two tables in the restaurant were occupied. We were placed right next to a couple whom I believe thought we were uncomfortably close. No reason for that as the place wasn't busy and we could've sat elsewhere. The place is expensive. More than it should've been. But that doesn't detract from the food which was very good so the price isn't a show-stopper. All except for the limoncello desert. Tasted like it was store bought - expect better for nearly $11 a slice. But the topper for us was - With just two tables occupied - the other couple had left - a Medical professional (who most likely just got off her shift) came in by herself looking for a table. She was told they couldn't accommodate her - they were closing early and she was turned away. The place was no where near closing time - no closed sign on the door. We both found that off-putting. Hence the 3 stars which otherwise would've been 4. Whether we will return there. Si' o No? I'll leave it at that... Buona sera. Buona sera.

This place is the opposite of a chain restaurant. It's clearly a family business that takes pride in preparing every dish. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive and on top of everything. My wife and I split an appetizer: meatballs with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. The dish was perfectly executed. I found it hearty, satisfying, and full of authentic Italian flavor. The menu features many daily specials, and today the veal parmesan caught my eye. The cutlets were beautifully prepared. Pounded thin, they were tender, and topped with a rich, fresh marinara sauce. The cheese was bubbly and golden. All the elements came together in a dish finished to perfection. The pasta was homemade spaghetti, cooked tender yet firm, and generously coated in marinara sauce. I would order this meal again, but there are so many other items on the daily specials list to try. I can't wait to come back.

We decided to give it another chance tonight and ordered takeout, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, they haven't. The person taking our order read it back to us three different times, and it was still wrong. Our order was over $90 and included a large pizza, Chicken Marsala with fettuccine (which we even paid an upcharge for), and Chicken Parmesan. We asked if we could substitute the included salads for Caesar salads, even if we had to pay the difference, but were told they no longer allow substitutions. That was disappointing but understandable, so we ordered a separate Caesar salad instead. When we got home, the Chicken Marsala had no fettuccine--and in fact, no pasta at all, despite paying extra for it. The Marsala sauce was so watery it looked more like broth than sauce, and it came with only two small pieces of chicken. The chicken was tough and honestly some of the worst we've ever had. It was completely inedible. The Chicken Parmesan wasn't any better, and neither meal was eaten. The pizza was just okay, but since the two entrées were inedible, there wasn't enough food for the four of us. For over $90, this was an extremely disappointing meal. We gave this restaurant another chance after years away, but unfortunately, it reminded us why we stopped coming in the first place.
