Such a great Thai place in Scarborough!…read more I came here for the first time in August 2025 when my friend suggested going here for dinner. I love trying new restaurants, especially Thai ones, so I was definitely excited to try their food. We got a Jasmine Tea and spring rolls to share, and thenwe each got our own Pad Thai orders. My friend is vegetarian, so she was able to get hers fully vegan with no problems. I got the Chicken Pad Thai, it was absolutely delicious! The vegetables were fresh and the sauce was so tasty! I especially loved that they had house made chilli oil which was one of the best one I've ever had! I'll definitely be back

Some small wooden tables and chairs for dine-in guests. The restaurant was not busy when we visited around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. Parking is only paid street parking, which is $2.75 per hour via Green P. We ordered a bunch of lunch specials at $12.99. It comes with choice of pop or you can upgrade to premium drink for $3.50 like Thai Ice tea, Thai lemon tea, Thai matcha green tea, Thai ice coffee (O-Liang), Mango/guava/pineapple juice, Thai coco water. The Thai ice tea was served in a mason jar mug. Very refreshing drink. The appetizers were good. We got the deep-fried coco shrimps (6) $13.25. The shrimps were served with a coleslaw salad and a tamarind dipping sauce. We tried the pork satay skewers (3) $10.95. The skewers were served with peanut dipping sauce and pickled daikon and carrots. The skewers were a bit on the small side. The green curry chicken lunch special was a standout. The broth was aromatic and spicy. The curry was served in a small bowl with chicken breast, bamboo shoots, green peppers, and broccoli. My wife enjoyed her curry. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao - Drunken noodles, which is a stir fried thick rice noodle with scrambled egg, bell peppers, fresh chilies, bamboo, young green peppercorn in Thai basil sauce. The noodles were not too spicy and just the right depth of flavors. The A9 papaya salad appetizer platter (4 person) $45.99 was kind of pricey but offerred a variety of appetizers like spring rolls, coco shrimp, tofu wedges, salted egg, shrimp chips and choice of green mango or papaya salad. The platter is nicely presented, but it's hard to justify the price point. Overall, it was a great experience. They server was very kind and courteous. They also sell some Thai local products on a shelf. We wanted to order the mango sticky rice dessert, but unfortunately, mangoes were not in season, so the dessert was not available. I would definitely come back. I just wish they were closer to home. #whenhungerstrikes definitely mark this one on your bucket list. I will try their Khao Soi noodles next time.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The service was truly amazing. Our waitress was so kind and patient, she took the time to walk us through the menu, explain different dishes, and even gave us great recommendations based on what we might enjoy. She made the whole experience feel very personal and comfortable. The food was absolutely incredible 10/10. Everything tasted so authentic, fresh, and perfectly balanced. You can really tell each dish is made with care and attention to flavor. Every bite was packed with rich, delicious taste without being overwhelming. I also ordered the tea, and it was so refreshing! It wasn't too sweet at all just perfectly balanced and very smooth. It paired so well with the meal and honestly stood out on its own. This is the kind of place you think about long after you leave. I already know I'll be coming back the next time I'm in the area. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, great service, and a cozy, welcoming vibe, Thammada Thai Cuisine is a must-try!

Legit Thai owned & operated restaurant with super charming staff!…read more Beautiful decor above & on the walls, this intimate restaurant has limited seating but they do take reservations. The (standing noodles) Khao Soi Curry - with shrimp #37 dish was outstandingly fun to see & the mix of soft & crispy noodles plus Penang-esque curry had a nice kick to it (even tho it was in the mild category). One staff person revealed this was their grandmother's personal recipe! Our group also ordered: calamari, tom yum soup, Chef's Specials #35 Pad Kraphow Khai Dao (chicken) & 36 - Eggplant, 33 Peneng Curry (chicken/shrimp) + coconut rice As we've been to several Thai places, we can vouch this is legit and you won't be disappointed on the quality and taste. For those that need extra mild dishes - both the Chef's Specials dishes meet this level and were super delish with the flavour of the main ingredients coming thru without being overpowered with sauce. Even the rice that came with #35 was a higher quality / tastier mix of wild rice vs a plain white grain version. We promise to be back! Thanks again to the lovely staff for all the food details and for the fun conversation! ( find me on Instagram via @aida.loves )

I found the dishes to be quite heavy-handed on the seasoning (borderline too salty), so the variety helps. Panang Curry - very flavorful, slightly sweet, and very savory. Had a nice kick to it! Som Tum Tod (fried papaya salad) - ordered it because it was their signature but I thought it was too salty and crunchy. And I got kind of tired of the fried aspect of it. Wished I ordered the fresh papaya salad instead. The heat and garlic is nice though. Decently sized portion so you can share it with the whole table. Pad Woonsen Cha-Om (Minced Pork & glass noodle, egg, garlic and acacia leaves) - my first time trying this dish! It was really good! It kind of filled the role of "fried rice" to me, mellowing out all of the stronger flavours of the other dishes. Still quite flavourful on its own too. Felt like a Thai-spin on the Korean dish, Japchae. Kai Yang (grilled chicken) - oh my gosh the sauce this chicken comes with is TO DIE FOR. I want to buy it or learn how to make it. It's so fragrant, fresh, spicy, aromatic, and just the right amount of fishy and acidic. We were very full sharing these 4 dishes between 3 people. For the fact that this is Michelin Bib Gourmand, I think it is well-priced and a great place to try!

We arrived shortly after noon and the place was pretty full, but we managed to snag a table near the back. Neither of us was especially hungry, so we opted to share a couple of dishes. We started with one of their specials, the Shrimp Donuts. My dining companion assumed they'd be actual donuts with shrimp flavors, but this is definitely not that. It's essentially shrimp pieces shaped into a deep-fried donut. And it's good, real good. It arrived to the table piping hot, and I took a big old bite right away. The flavors are right on point, and the whole thing is enhanced by the accompanying sweet sauce. It's a terrific appetizer (although awfully expensive at $12 for four of them). For our main, we went with the Khao Soi ("Soft and crispy egg noodles, golden curry, coconut milk, spring onion, red onion, crispy shallot, lime, pickled veg") and we got that Spicy. It's a really solid version of this iconic dish. It's maybe not up there with the best adaptations I've had, but it's quite good. The broth is super flavorful and rich, while the other components are right on point. The spice level was perfect, too. The service was top notch, as well, so I have no doubt we'll be returning to Thai Barn Na at some point.

The satay chicken is a pass, pad thai is kind of sweet, and the khao soi is just fine. I will say these are on the slightly cheaper side compared to spots in Toronto (khao soi was ~$20?) Verdict: I think this place is alright for Mississauga, but being on Dundas Street, you're close to Toronto and you might as well go to a better Thai spot downtown haha.

The Seafood Instant Noodle was presented very nicely - it's a Tom Yum style so the sauce has a spicy kick to it when you pour it all over the seafood and noodles. A really flavourful dish. Good amounts of seafood from squid, mussel and shrimps - perfect to share. Leng Saap (spicy pork bone soup) was a spicer - but it's my go-to Thai appetizer dish that's flavourful and with the meat that just falls off instantly. As a group of friends having not seen each other for a long time, our server was very patient with us. We were so busy talking, she had to come by 3 times to check if we were ready to order. Each time she came by she smiled, saw that we were busy catching up, and never pressured us to place an order until we were ready. I ended up trying the Khao Soi, Grilled Skewer Platter, Som Tum Papaya Salad, and the Pineapple Fried Rice. It came with a pickled cucumber vinegary sauce that was delicious when used to soak the white rice that came with the pad gra prow (which was super spicy thanks to the heavy use of Thai chill).
