I barely ever write yelp reviews but this is definitely deserving of one! I started my search for…read morenew countertops and I got a lot of quotes...I mean a lot. I had my heart set on a calacatta quartz and I learned most vendors charge a similar price point per quartz slab. The biggest difference in price was in labor. I decided to go with Tiles Warehouse because Steven gave me the best vibe, the best price on labor, and the quickest turnaround time. Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong! My beautiful new quartz countertops were installed before I knew it and I was thrilled! Steven and his installers were knowledgeable and professional and did a fantastic job! I was very happy with the final product! So, naturally, when I needed tile for my kitchen backsplash, I returned to Tiles Warehouse to check out Steven's tile. I showed him what I liked and he found something comparable and even gave me an amazing price on a beautiful, intricate marble herringbone! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of allowing someone with minimal tile experience to install the backsplash and it didn't turn out well. I was crushed. Enter Steven and David to the rescue! Steven came out and looked at my tile and assured me that they could remove the tile and install new tile correctly. Although I was concerned that my expectations were a little bit too high for this intricate marble tile, I decided to reorder the same tile and try again. David and his crew came out removed the old tile and did a beautiful job installing the new tile! I was so worried that I would regret redoing the tile, but my only regret is that I didn't let them do the tile the first time around! If you need tile or countertops, go to Tiles Warehouse and talk to Steven. If you don't have an installer that you're confident in, go and talk to Steven. You won't regret it! I'll definitely be using them for my future bathroom projects!!!

Don't like to leave negative reviews on small, local businesses, but we had the absolute worst…read moreexperience. We went there shopping for backsplash tiles. Young man there said if we wanted help with tile we had to wait for the owner Steve and to call and leave him a message. We agreed but stayed to look through what was there and found a few we liked. Over the next two days we left 4 messages for Steve to check his availability and he didn't return our messages. We decided to go in on a chance and a smaller man was sitting behind the counter. We asked if he was Steve and said we had left messages but he didn't acknowledge the comment. We showed him our chosen tile from another store and the backsplash tile from his store and asked his opinion on the coordination. He quickly agreed with all our choices. Being so quick I commented that he probably would like anything we picked. He said I insulted his Persian background and asked us to leave the store. Not sure what his issue is as up to that point everything was cordial. There was no one else in the store. Possibly knowing our sale was not big he took the opportunity to impress his apparent worker. Small man syndrome. Easily found exact tiles at different store

We had never owned a home or done a remodel previously and Julie was great at taking us step-by-step through the process. Using some inspiration from our Pintrest boards, she came up with designs unique to our house and aesthetic. Julie ordered all the materials on our behalf and identified a fantastic contractor who carried out the remodel with Julie's oversight. Julie took so much of the process off our plates, which was great because my wife was pregnant at the time haha. I've attached a few photos of the kitchen before the remodel and then when it was almost finished. I've also included some pictures of one of the shower areas before and after remodel. I would include more professional pics post remodel but our attention was quickly subsumed with a tiny human! Overall, Julie was so great at taking control over so much of the process while always listening to our feedback and suggestions. I can't recommend Julie enough.

After spending countless hours at Lowe's, Tile and Decor, Granite Expo, I decided to go into European Tile and Marble in Lafayette. I was greeted by Emilia who was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, patient, and non-judgementally listened to my wacky ideas. She came up with samples that work within our budget and my color choices and gave me practical advice that I hadn't received with the other design experts at the places listed above. There was NO pressure to buy and it felt like she has all the time in the world to work with me. We were in search of a countertop installation contractor when came across Hung HSI Stone reviews…read moreand one of their customers' kitchen counter is similar to ours; thus, I gave Gary a call. We visited their shop shortly after and Gary gave samples for us to review. Since my husband has our counters' measurements, Gary was able to give us a quote the same day. Gary is flexible so you can either order the counter materials from him or order from one of local stone/quartz stores and he can arrange to pickup/fabricate & install them later. Due to the large piece quartz we need for kitchen is back ordered, we ended up using quartz from Gary's shop for our bathrooms and bought different quartz slabs from another stone/slab store for our kitchen & Gary arranged to pickup them up for fabrication/installation. Gary's team needs about 2- 2-1/2 week lead time but at the end, their workmanship is very good so it is well worth it! Gary also came with their workers for both bathroom counters and kitchen counters measurement & installation and he ensures the veins matched nicely with the backsplash and also spent time to answer any questions we have with our new countertops. Def recommend them if you need countertop installation

I just relocated to Walnut Creek and purchased a great condo that needed bedroom carpet. To my surprise every call I made to flooring stores was answered by poor attitude sales persons along with the earliest install would be 2 or 3 weeks if lucky. Then I called Lamorinda Floors on Mt. Diablo in Lafayette. First phone call was welcoming and encouraging. Drive to the store and 25 minutes later found a top quality carpet at a fair price. "We can do the install in 2 days. This product costs $10 a box which means, my bill of several thousand dollars was paying for the craftsmanship to install. JR told us, they will smooth your flooring out to make it even so there are no dips and valley. To prep, I had to remove my bath sink & toilet and remove my shutters to my sliding door. You pay half at start and other half of payment after installation. Installation guys were nice & professional. They did ask me a wee bit late which direction I wanted the flooring, as they had installed it the opposite direction I wanted. Without batting an eye, they pulled it up and changed it to my liking. After leaving and a few days later, the step layer piece (one step down from one room to other) started to pull off. Also, I notice the flooring had a lot of air pockets under the vinyl; they did not even the flooring prior to installation. We taped many spots where the flooring had air pockets to show JR. The owner ended up coming out and was not great at a resolution saying, it was a floating floor. I would not pay my second payment and eventually, they did come back to pull up flooring and even it out. I am happier about floor but I should not ever had to call back; it should have been done properly the first time. One error I made, I did not have them fix my baseboards. After putting them back on, they left the nails showing so now I have to take time from my life to fix.
