Ordered pizza delivery from here (1 pizza) that ended up being $70 in total (screenshot attached). The number of fees felt a bit excessive as there was a delivery fee, service charge, and a tip. My question is: do these not all essentially cover the same thing? If not, what is the service charge for? The ambiguity around what it covers makes it feel like a junk fee. In terms of the pizza itself, I thought the amount of toppings was good. However, overall, I have to say the pizza was just ok. Crust could have been more flavorful and more cheese would have been nice as well. Based on the amount of fees for a generally mediocre pizza, I would not order from here again.

A window on a balcony where you can get a quick slice is what this place boils down to. Limited parking, no frills just yummy pizza sold by the slice. They have a few different kinds and they warm it up before they serve it. A slice is $5 which is pretty reasonable and staff is friendly and makes recommendations. The pizza itself has a great crust, crispy not chewy and the cheese is gooey and yummy. Overall not an oily slice and quick service for a fast lunch. This place is right next door to Jones Roasters, not the best pizza I've had but one of the better ones.

Had time to kill between doctor appointments so I decided to check out Pie Life. First I have to say I was disappointed that it was listed as handicapped accessible with no warning that the accessibility is in the back of the building - still not sure what that looks like because I can't find it on maps. I can tell you though, that would be a long trek for disabled people to get to a street that would access the alley behind them. Thankfully I could sort of hobble up the stairs but many people cannot. Service was fast and friendly. I got the lunch special of a slice of white pizza and a drink for $15. Neither were remarkable. The pizza had no other flavor than cheese - I couldn't taste garlic or basil. The salad was fine, but so is a bagged Caesar salad from the grocery store. I was excited to try this place but I don't think I'll be back.

I got the white pizza slice and salad, plus a drink all for $15. You can opt out of a drink if you want. Great pizza at a great price, and my order was super quick!!

Cute little place tucked away in Pasadena, that's easy to miss if you're not looking. It's located in a little lot with a few other businesses around it and a designated takeout window for Pie Life Pizza (they don't deliver). There's a few chairs and tables outside if you want to eat a slice at the location. We opted to take our pizza home. It had a very satisfying and authentic crust. Definitely can tell food is made with love and care here. Would recommend to anyone looking for some NY style pizza!

Came here during the lunch with a couple of my co workers. The place is quite tucked and hidden. It has their own parking but you also find street parking as well. I ordered the 2 Slice Combo which comes with either a can or bottled drink of your choice. - A Slice of Meaty - A Slice of Warehouse - I also purchased an additional chocolate chip cookie It's a good price for the combo meal! The staff were nice and service was fast. The pizza was delicious! It was rich in flavor but surprisingly light, with a nice crisp crust and just enough cheese to make it satisfying without being overly greasy. Definitely worth the buck!

Lunch Special, one slice of White pizza, garden salad and can drink $14.50.

My wife had her 6 month eye exam in Pasadena. I took this opportunity to have one of my favorite New York style pizza in Southern California. I got their lunch special which is one slice of their White pizza, garden salad and sparkling water for $14.50. I added $1.00 tip. This is a no frills tiny pizza place with only a walk up window to place your order. It's on the second floor overlooking Raymond Avenue. There are metal stools and a bar like table that runs across the entire second floor. Just find a spot, seat down and eat. My White pizza was ready in 5 minutes. Just the way I like it, thin and crunchy. The garden salad was fresh and tasted great. Very satisfying lunch. DJ's rating: 4.85/5.00 Would I come back? Definitely Yes.

18" Cheese Pizza

We put every pizza restaurant that is new to us to the same test: a plain cheese pizza. Pie Life passed the test! The sauce was delicious and there was just enough of it. The cheese-to-sauce ratio was on the mark. The middle crust was very thin, very uniform, just chewy enough to not be flatbread-crispy, and the edge crust was thicker and even more chewy. The vibe at the Pasadena store was very cool, the pick up was ready early, and the staff at the window was bright and engaging. We have a new go-to pizza place!

18" Warehouse Pizza (I added the red onion because I'm a crazy onion lady.) The pizza was perfection as is!

Thank you! It's an amazingly perfect, delicious, well crafted, and expertly created pizza! From the fresh ingredients to the sophisticated ingredients that are thoughtfully sprinkled, (the size of the pepperonis....so clever!!!), the delicious sauce, and the airy crust!!! We ate it all! We are now addicted to Pie Life Pizza!

Pepperoni & Jalapeño Build Your Own Pizza

Ate here twice now. First time stopped by and ate there. Wife and I got a slice each. I got the PB&J, she got pepperoni. We both thought it was very good. But I thought the crust was a little overly crisp for a NY slice. I figured this was because they reheat the individual slices. Still super tasty and good, but not the crust I expected. I wanted to try them again, so a couple days later we ordered a whole pie, pepperoni & jalapeño. This time it was what I was expecting! Crust was great. Nice browning on the bottom, but not crunchy & foldable. Tasty sauce & cheese (although I might get extra cheese next time). Good amount of toppings as well! This is what I expected. Will for sure get them again!

I have a SOY allergy, and need to find out if you use SOY in any of your pizza? I would like to try your place, but need this answer. Terri

Hi! There are no soy products used in our NY style pizzas. There may be soy products in the cauliflower crust, but none in our freshly made NY dough. See you soon!

Are they open on holidays?

Yes, most holidays. Give them a call 626 720-7095

Vegan cheese slices available?

It would be best to call them.

The cheese was so good and gosh their crust just knocks it out of the park, so delicious! I don't always eat crust but I will always do it here! The Nutella pizza (can add bananas or bananas+strawberries) was fun, but Nutella itself is so thick normally so was quite a messy eat. You've been warned! Can't wait to come back and try their other flavors. Ambience was very casual, had a tv with a game on. The space had an exposed ceiling so really has a LA sports bar industrial feel, so a little loud but not unbearably so. Our waitress was great, very good at checking in and communicating with us.

I placed an order for one gluten free Settebello pizza, which is Crushed Tomatoes, Pancetta, Sausage, Mushrooms, Pine Nuts, Mozzarella, Basil, and oil, at around 4:30ish in the afternoon. The online tracking said it would take about 37 minutes. My husband and I arrived exactly at the time it said it would be ready. When my husband walked in to pick-up the order, no one greeted him. The hostess was having a conversation with another employee and didn't acknowledge him for several minutes. Our order was also not ready. This is not the end of the world but because there was zero customer service offered, it was a bit annoying. The cost for the gluten free version of the Settebello pizza was $29.00 before tax or tip. There is a $6 up charge for the gluten-free crust here. It is also important to note these are Neapolitan-style pizzas, so they are more like an individual-size although my husband and I shared one in this instance. What I will say is this is genuinely the BEST gluten free pizza crust I have ever had. It is light with the perfect chewy bite to it. If I hadn't ordered it myself, I truly wouldn't know it was gluten-free. The flavor this pizza with the toppings was also really yummy. The ingredients tasted high-quality, fresh, and flavorful. However, I will say, the toppings are sparse and were not put on evenly. Some slices didn't have some of the ingredients. Also, the Settebello is listed as having pine nuts, and I think there was a maximum of 8 of them on the whole thing. Also, there were just four little basil leaves on the whole thing. The pizza is not cheap here and for the price point there should be consistency in ingredients and enough of them put on in my opinion. It's a great tasting pizza from what we had, but it is hard to fully rationalize the price point when it is a relatively small pizza and the toppings are minimal. I hope they improve their customer service and their topping consistency.

It honestly broke my heart. The man who I assume was the owner always seemed to be running the place himself. They were that good. Bambino's was one of Pasadena's hidden gems. I genuinely think more people would have fallen in love with it if it had been in a busier, more visible location. The food deserved so much more recognition. I'm really hoping this isn't the end of Bambino's. If the owner ever opens another location, starts a food truck, or even just starts selling those wings somewhere else, I'll be one of the first people in line. When you enter The establishment you are immediately aware of the great aromas coming from the kitchen. After walking through some tables and chairs, I was greeted at the counter by a friendly hello and 'how can I help you?' I asked a number of questions concerning the menu. I knew there was pizza but I wanted to know more about their sandwiches and salads. I found out that they do have daily / weekly specials that are a great value. I decided to order a special small Italian sausage pizza and an order of six nude chicken wings with ranch dip on the side. I sat down and waited for the order to be completed. There were a few people at some tables finishing up their lunch. While I was there the phone was constantly ringing with takeout orders. The walls had simple decorations that created a nice ambiance. When my order was called, I was given instructions on how to carry the bag as to not disturb the toppings and cheese on the pizza. As I walked, the smell of the fresh pizza and wings was enticing. The wings were just as I ordered. I enjoyed that they have not been overcooked. The wings were tender and moist. The ranch dressing dipping sauce was a great choice. I look forward to trying some of their other homemade sauces. The Italian Sausage Pizza was cooked just the way I like it. The crust had a nice crisp bottom and great flavor. The toppings of olive and onion were a perfect combination with the Italian sausage. I was happy that I ordered the small size rather than the mini so that I could enjoy some cold pizza the next day. Great flavor even on day two. On another trip I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich and a large Antipasto Salad. The salad was full of flavor and fresh vegetables and meats. The sandwich was huge. More ingredients than I expected with a great Italian flavor, the bread was incredible as well. I tried the sandwich both cold and hot and both ways the flavor was the star of this sandwich. I look forward to coming back and enjoying some of the other items on their menu. Fresh pastas are next on my list of things to try. I anticipate that whatever I order will be exceptional!

I especially liked the pizza boxes available to take extras to go, as well as other conveniences easy to grab. After resisting the many delicious looking beer options, I ordered a personal Manhattan Meat lovers pizza ($14), a crisp, well constructed small pizza with excellent crust, no flop, and multiple meaty toppings. My daughter had the Shrimp Scampi with Linguine ($18), which included a trio of garlic knots. The pasta was cooked perfectly el dente, was exceptionally lemony and garlicky which I can appreciate, and included six large shrimp. While the sauce could have been a little thicker I thought this was quite good for a pizza and beer place. Everything was made fresh. The staff was friendly, made good recommendations, helped us get a to go bag, delivered food as it completed with a smile, and overall seemed quite happy to be there. Prices, above, I found to be quite resonance for an independent chain offering food of this quality for sit-down. Mamma's was a surprising hit, offering great food and casual vibes at a great price.
