The healthier options. Soda is in the breakroom!

- Nice refrigeration, minimal pools of water on the outside of the rink - One main rink - No snack bar but there are vending mchines with hot chocolate, coffee, snacks, drinks with electrolytes, etc. - No liquor license. - One set of bathrooms located before you enter the rink. - Tons of parking! - LOVE the Kings decor and handles on the bathrooms. (Hockey sticks!!)

I bandaged my hand after I got home. The bag is the bag of ice they gave me before I left.

Took me over 6 months to recover from my injury nobody from the rink reached out. Nobody from the rink came to my medical aid when it happened. I filed an incident report and for all I know they shredded it as soon as I left

New to Burbank and just found out there's a beautiful ice rink near by in a nice neighborhood. Parking is easy: they have their own parking lot. You literally just park right outside the entrance. They are currently doing a flat rate of $16/ session (1:30-3pm) during spring break, rental included!! The rink is nice and clean. Everyone is friendly. There are kids, young adults and even grandparents, all having lots of fun together. It kids light up my passion for skating. Ben, the school manager found me an instructor right away - Mary. She's amazing! Although I'm a not too talented student lol. I hope they can open up more sessions as covid is slowing down. social distancing and safety Precautions are in place. Everybody's wearing masks And sanitizers everywhere. I feel so safe skating here

It's beautiful to see Pickwick Ice filling up with many new skaters on open public sessions after the renovation

This is an outstanding ice-skating arena, great for skaters of any ages and levels. It was beautiful to see it quickly filling up with many new skaters on open public sessions after the renovation (on my photos). A great space to sharpen your skills or learn to ice-skate. Can't wait for it to open again :)))

Pickwick Ice was an interesting experience. No complaints whatsoever everything was great. However if it's your first time ice skating I recommend going with friends that's done it before and know how to skate because then it would be much more easier and they could teach you on the spot and give you tips/pointers, then you'd pretty much be able to skate. If you want to go with people that have never skated before that's alright too, just keep in mind that it will take a little longer for you to get a hang of it.

This is exactly what the rink looked like that last time I went. The lines are where they cut off the area for private

First off yes is it a fun place to be? Answer is yes only when the food skaters are around. I am a good skater and every time I go to pickwick on Saturdays and Sundays, it's absolutely insane. Way to many people. Sometimes I can't even skate because of the amount of people that are at that rink. Bathrooms smell awful and overall I just don't like the place. Staff are friendly tho and I have made pretty good friends with them because I constantly go there. At the moment on the weekends, they cut the rink at the end to a pretty substantial amount of the ice which just shrinks the overall size of the rink making it feel absurd. First off let's talk about the insane $22 entrance fee! That's insane. Other rinks charge around $15 to maybe even $16. This is not ok and even if you pay online, (they only charge you $17) at the end of the day I kind of regret going here because of the amount of people. KEEP THIS IN MIND. they don't care about how fast people go. I have been hit with seals multiple times because kids just zoom in the middle of the rink. The coaches do barely nothing about it HOCKEY, pickwick quote on quote says that hockey makes more money. Yes maybe but with the price we pay I don't really think so. I just really want this rink to change and have more public skating sessions for maybe 18 and older. NOT JUST FREESTYLE. Go there experience it for yourself but I wouldn't spend my money there. Go else where

The place is newly remodeled. Its clean and well organized. Fun place for the kids and adults alike. There is plenty of parking.

They don't give you an 8 hour window where you are required to attend - the food collected goes to local food organizations to feed the homeless throughout LA - it's a great excuse to get outdoors & get some exercise! Motivation I love the entire concept of this organization. It is challenging for the impoverished to get access to fresh fruit and produce. A low income man in the Midwest a few months ago went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Scurvy! Yes, like the pirates illness. Why? He was only eating cheap, frozen meals 3x a day for the past 18 mos., no fruit or produce, and was severely vitamin C deficient! MDs diagnosis, not mine. Access to healthy fruits and veggies is critical to health but can be challenging given the expense. In comes hero organization Food Forward! They pair up with local home owners who have excess fruit or veggies. They have volunteers come out to "pick" their excess fruit. The fruit is then taken to local food banks in the area and distributed outward. How cool is that? I spent 1.5 hrs with them picking grapefruit in Woodland Hills. It was such a fun way to volunteer my time but manageable enough to fit into my schedule. I loved it and look forward to volunteer with this terrific organization again in the future. Check them out!

I sure hope they did something about that clothing, shoes, etc. Tables would solve the problem. So depressing to experience a line of food, smiles and hope just to come to the end of the line to see clothes on the ground reminding people how bad it really is(some go back to tents on the ground, etc). I went on Google and started doing some research when I came across Food on Foot. Wow. Before I even signed up, I knew that this was something to look forward to. We even got to hear from former people who used to be homeless--they are called 'Graduates'. Their stories and their energy prove that this is such an impactful organization and everyone deserves to know about it and help out. It is $20 to donate, but you actually can see where your money is going. The staff were very informative and friendly. Consumers in any given community are constantly encouraged to shop local in order to help the…read moresurrounding economy and the actual business owners whom are often residents, themselves. It is by far a better choice than the mega retailers. But here is an even more amazing concept: when the local business in question that is helped by the community also helps the community in turn and/or nonprofits. Now, THAT is the most splendid symbiotic relationship that could ever be conceived! This is exactly what is happening at Burbank's very own Studio Hope. Allow me to explain... Studio Hope is a combination thrift store/vintage store/antique store/gift shop at the Hollywood Way/Clark intersection not far from the Magnolia Park area of Burbank where these stores are a dime a dozen. However, Studio Hope stands out not only because it is located a few blocks away; but also because it is a business created to 'do good'. Owned and operated by Lori and Dean, a husband-and-wife team both suffering with kidney/renal issues; this dynamic duo initially founded (1) a kidney nonprofit that helps adults/families/children suffering from renal conditions and (2) an animal nonprofit to help orphaned pets find forever homes. In turn, they founded Studio Hope which rather than operate for a profit; revenues help fund the two non-profits. So, if you shop at Studio Hope you are supporting charities versus a billion-dollar company AND the local economy! The local buzz has been raving about Studio Hope but I wasn't able to check them out until the end of 2025 when bringing them my end-of-year donations (they accept donations and offer a receipt for your tax deductions). I was absolutely enthralled the moment I walked into the shop with its vintage/antique vibe and art collective. This place is less thrift store and more vintage - in the best way possible. Studio Hope offers amazing clothing (some modern and the BEST vintage finds!), purses, jewelry, shoes, housewares and furniture, trinkets, art, etc. Studio Hope isn't just a store: it is an experience and is heaven for lovers of all things vintage and antique. You would expect that these top-tier wares being sold at Studio Hope would fetch a pretty penny due to their own worth alone plus needing to be relatively comparative to competitors. Wrong! I was shocked to find some crush-worthy vintage at affordable prices and I am poor so my judgement can be trusted! Dean and Lori's Studio Hope does not screw patrons over. During my visit in which I purchased an adorable enamel ice cream cone pin; I successfully made a clothing donation and was thanked profusely while also being introduced to Lori. Lori is a doll: friendly, inclusive, conversational, humble and obviously appreciates each and every customer. This truly 'sells' the business even more making one want to return to Studio Hope. Studio Hope is also 'cool' as they work with the local film studios and host events like "Bridgerton" viewing parties. They also utilize their store for work with their charities such as the 'prom' they put on for the teens part of their kidney nonprofit allowing them to choose among the store's gowns. Studio Hope is truly compassionate. My only complaint is that it is street-meter parking only which is a bit annoying when schlepping donations and unable to catch a close meter but Studio Hope is worth contending with this 'grievance'. If you love vintage/antiques AND want to feel good about where your dollar ends up then Studio Hope is for you and an absolute must-visit! Make sure to hi to Lori!
