I bought a basic machine so long ago I can't remember...over 20 years ago. I haven't used it for about 15 years because I bought a newer model that I use about twice a week (think I paid about $2400 originally for the new one). Their service is outstanding. Ron has always been helpful & so has Peter Liu. They sent me some plastic side panels at no charge, when I broke one of mine . I've had the battery replaced once on the new model...they cleaned it & put on new wheels (even though I didn't need it). The machine is outstanding too. In addition to ball interval, elevation, & ball speed (which any machine should have), it can put topspin & underspin. After more than thirteen years of moderate use and battery replacements, the ball machine still works perfectly. Last week, one of the top ball hopper flaps finally broke. I ordered a mini pickleball tutor from this merchant. The merchant called me to verify my identity, billing address, and shipping address. I found out that the merchant later contacted my employer (a university medical center) and pressed my assistant for information (making her uncomfortable). When I questioned Peter (the gentleman with whom I spoke), I was told this is a routine practice to "protect both me and them." The guys who work here have amazing customer service. I cannot rave enough. My machine broke so I went to them to purchase a new motor. Initially, the man who welcomed us was very defensive and inquisitive. It turns out that he was just really wondering if it was the motor or something else. After many questions, the men there took us into the back for parts. One of them ended up giving us a free piece. Went home, sadly it wasnt the right piece. I called in and the person answering told me to brinf in my machine. A few weeks later, they took a look at my machine. After a week, they called me back for a pickup. I've had my tennis tutor for over 20 years and it needed a complete overhaul, batteries, electric wiring, all rollers, shoots, wheels, battery charger, broken plastic pieces, etc..you get the picture. I dropped it off (Burbank office) and a very nice reception person greeted me and introduced me to Ron. Ron said he would fix it and call me at the end of the week when it was done. He got very busy and couldn't get to it. So he said he would fix it and send it to me. To my surprise is was soon fixed and sitting on my front porch. I recently purchased a Tennis Cube from Sports Tutor. It is well constructed. The advertisement said that is it is for beginner and intermediate level players ( I am an intermediate). The only issue is that intermediates hit and return a lot of topspin balls. The balls being delivered from the tennis cube have a back spin on them. So the ball sits up upon bouncing, rather than kicking, meaning that I cannot work on improving my return of a topspin shot. Topspin mastery is a huge part of game improvement. I received a "Hand-Me-Down" Tennis Tutor Model 2 Machine from my Dad. I rodent had got into it and damaged a bunch of the wires. He asked me several questions and determined that I would need a new battery and would be able to ship it to me the same day and have it delivered via Fed Ex by tomorrow. I just bought my Tennis Tutor a month ago from a retail tennis store. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a remote, I contacted Sports Tutor and they mailed me the remote. I was a little perplex because it was just the remote with no instructions. I contacted them and Ron said he would send me the instructions and the tools. I was prepared to wait a week for the arrival but it came the next day. I'm not good at assembling things so I had to contact the store for guidance, Ron assisted me and I was on my way. Well Sunday came and I went to try out the machine but ran into problems, apparently I didn't put it back together correctly. I contacted Ron and explained my issue he then said to send him a picture of the inside of my machine. I did and he saw what the problem was and was instructing me on what to do, he was willing to stay on the line while I try to resolve the issue. I told him I will try and give him a call back once Im ready. Well I had an idea what needed to be done so I completed it and confirmed with Ron what I did was correct. I bought my Tennis Tutor #2 in 1999 through a local tennis shop. These tennis ball machines use lead-acid batteries that have an expected life of 4.5-5.5 years (from the battery manufacturer's spec sheets). When the battery died in 2007, I ordered a replacement from Sports Tutor and it arrived quickly. I regularly charged the new battery to keep it healthy, but it still died a few days ago. I researched getting equivalent batteries from other sources, but decided that the slightly uncommon nature of the batteries made it easier to get them from Sports Tutor. It cost a little more, but I doubt that any online site could have matched the customer service at Sports Tutor. I ordered the replacement battery Monday afternoon, UPS delivered it midday Wednesday, and an hour later I had a rejuvenated ball machine. Dealing with Sports Tutor was great. read more

Bought a Tennis Tutor ProLite ball machine from Sport Chalet about three years ago. Sport Chalet did not ship a battery charger. Called their customer service and they said it does not need a battery charger. I called Sports Tutor, and a gentleman shipped me a new battery charger via FedEx right a way. A few months ago, my son hit the balls so hard and broke a flapper. I called Sport Tutor and a gentleman sent me not one but two flappers. Great product and great business/customer service. read more
