It definitely took me back to when I was a kid, bowling in a league with my uncles, very nostalgic. Our host gave us a quick rundown and rules which was great for anyone who had never been bowling before. Our party was pretty big (I think 30-40 people) but the staff was great in keeping up with our hungry carpenters. The food was good, I definitely rate it better than all bowling alley food I've ever had- but not quite "sit-down-restaurant" quality. That's OK, we were there to bowl and have fun. The bowling balls haven't been changed since I worked there so that definitely needs to happen. These are chipped and beat up. You can actually hear the bumping sound of some of them as they go down the lane. Our company had a group outing there and the one important thing to know is that they charge an 18% service fee, which is NOT gratuity. So you would need to add gratuity on top of that, which puts you at around 33-38% on top of your total package amount. Nobody was able to tell us what the service fee was paying for.

With my recent trip as part of a group of parents planning for an impromptu after party for the cast and crew for the St Genevieve Parish Schools Musical production's closing weekend, I was amazed at how the Round 1 crew were receptive to our needs. We reserved a karaoke party room for about 30 kids. Louis took down my number for the reservation, and he was very nice and accommodating. We did have to wait about an hour for our party room to be ready, which was fair. Meanwhile, my group of teens entertained themselves with MULTIPLE takes on the photo booths, surely to satiate their social media needs. Though Louis was awesome, he did mention that I should get a text within 5 minutes confirming my reservation. It was almost 30 minutes and still never received a text, and when I talked to Louis about it, he said that I had to connect to the Round 1 wifi in order to receive text updates. I ordered the buffalo wings. Not only were the wings not of size, but the watery buffalo sauce was just thrown in that I may as well have had a buffalo chicken soup. Also, though they did not charge me for a pitcher of water for my singing teens, they did charge the other parents that I was with for the exact same pitchers of water. At that point, I was telling myself it must have been my charm that got me free water lol. All in all, Round 1 is top notch when it comes to fun. It celebrates arcade culture of yesterday with their fighting games, music games, and driving games, while providing photo booths and claw games with kawaii merch that today's youth adores. Make sure your whole group is together before start time so you all play at the same time and no one misses out. Our group was a bunch of 5/6/7 year olds and the group they played against was 10-12 year olds so I felt like that was a little unfair but no one got seriously hurt so that's all you can ask for. My least favorite part was the arcade. Some of the games weren't working so that's a bust. Our kids were too young to use the VR game so it would have been nice if they got to ride the bumper cars twice instead of just losing out on that. On top of that there was only one person staffing the VR game, the mini bowling and the bumper cars so it was like 10-15 minutes between each option and there were only maybe 8 bumper cars so when there's a line the kids had to wait about 20 minutes just to ride the bumper cars. There were lines for the bumper cars and the VR so no one used the bowling because there wasn't enough staff. The pizza was fine, I believe you can order other stuff outside the party pizza if you want.
