Bob is legit ! I've only been bowling for a couple years and didn't know which ball to get next and without hesitation or judgment bob was ready to help. He has great selection of balls and if you need to order one talk to him and he can get it, at reasonable price as well! His services didn't stop once I purchased a ball, he took the time to check out a game or two to see how I liked it and even gave me tips to help improve my game. If you need a ball or help with any of your bowling needs I'd recommend Bob at BTB bowling supplies 10/10 times!

We held a milestone celebration here for our construction crew, what a great experience!…read more First off all the staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable. This felt like a classic bowling alley- no gimmicks and no silliness. This place features a bar & grill, two pool tables, a fair amount of bowling lanes, and a small arcade. The dining area seating is plenty and the touchscreen displays at the lanes make setting up your games very easy. This place was clean, professional and didn't feel "corporate" if that makes sense. It definitely took me back to when I was a kid, bowling in a league with my uncles, very nostalgic. Our host gave us a quick rundown and rules which was great for anyone who had never been bowling before. Our party was pretty big (I think 30-40 people) but the staff was great in keeping up with our hungry carpenters. The food was good, I definitely rate it better than all bowling alley food I've ever had- but not quite "sit-down-restaurant" quality. That's OK, we were there to bowl and have fun. Everyone had a fantastic time. I highly recommend for group events, parties, dates or family fun. I leave one star off for parking- there is very limited parking and maybe I missed something but it seemed like the closest option was meter parking or up the block, most of our guys parked a block away in a public lot.

Not only that but the staff was rude, and were inconsistently enforcing wearing bowling shoes. Other bowlers had regular shoes on, but our party was told to wear their shoes or leave. When pointed out, staff said we were wrong. The lanes were inconsistently oiled, the balls were all chipped and low quality. Music was so loud, could barely hear my friends and I speak. Weird policy of charging credit cards at $50 increments. So a $5 dollar water is a $50 charge with a $45 dollar refund. Weird and strange policy. Added 1 star because the pins weren't held up by strings. Probably won't be back unless major changes are made.

But maybe it is also because I emailed them too late? Besides that, my friend and I tried to do a surprise birthday party for my partner on the weekend. Come prepared because the wait can be long! The grand star for making this even happen is Melanie, she was super helpful and empathetic hearing my stressful mess as this was a last second resort. She told us 2 lane's aren't guarantee to be next to each other since there was a long wait but would try her best, understandable it is the weekend. Thankfully it all worked out we played for about 2 hours before our arms gave out. My partner was so happy to be here and spend it at Highland park bowl. Our server Carlos was also fantastic and gave us recommendations on what to order. They had this peach pizza that was so divine, can never go wrong with a classic margarita pizza. For a bowling alley I honestly did not expect their menu to be this tasty! I will say their drink menu is decent. They have a nice pool room with some arcade games, so you can never really get bored at this establishment. We all had a great time here no complaints we will be back and try again with there party email.

Hands down, without a doubt, best bowling alley food I've ever had in my existence. I'll start with the pizza because pizza is my favorite food. I was hesitant because I was at a bowling alley and I guess I've never had good food at a bowling alley until now. But when I looked around at all the pizza being served to different tables I just had to try it. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and honestly it was sublime. I loved it. It was thin, crispy crust, good sauce, good cheese, good pepperoni. I devoured it. This pizza is better than most pizzas. I enjoyed it just as much as I have enjoyed Wildcrust, possibly enjoyed it more. Simply put, Highland Park Bowl makes a great pizza. Also got the calamari. Truly didn't have high expectations, maybe because I was at a bowling alley, but this calamari was shockingly good to me. Way better than expected, and would 100% order it again the next time I'm here. Additionally it was a pretty good sized portion. My wife ordered the burger and fries. She loved it. I tried it. I loved it. Fries were amazing. Would order it again for sure. The ambience is very cool. Had no idea this place has been around for like a century. Loved the vintage feel. So much character. Staff were super friendly. Although I think they may have been short staffed when we went. It seemed like there was only one server taking care of the whole place. She was really nice though and our food came out surprisingly quick. Came at 5:30pm on a Thursday and parked on the street right out front. Street parking is 1hr up until 8pm I believe. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. I timed it haha. Loved coming here and will be back sometime!

The food was better then I expected. The pizzas were a thumbs down but the wings, salad and mozerella sticks were all quite good. The server who was our main contact was good. The manager on duty was very nice and helped me get a heavier ball from the back for my other half. My one complaint would be the gal behind the bar could have been friendlier. There was plenty of parking in their lot. They are located behind Islands and across the street from Panda Inn.

It was a busy night apparently, but the lane next to us was empty for the duration of the time we were there. Interesting, but whatever. My cousin, who competes in local competitions, said the lanes are kind of whack as the pins go down a bit too easily and reward the crappier players. Not sure what he meant by that, but I did bowl better than my usual average of 65. Prices are decent and we took advantage of the 3-game special where the third game is half-off. Balls are in pretty decent shape and they have small to X large for everyone. Pro tip: there's a pretty good bar in here, sort of a hidden spot for locals here. If the usual popular sports bars are too crowded when a big game is on, I usually just come here. Lots of beer on tap, the screens are pretty large, and their burgers and fries are pretty good. Their cocktails are pretty solid as well. Happy rolling!

I came back on a separate day to offer my patronage and support. Parking is plentiful. Interior has an old school look and feel to it. Quite nostalgic! Very clean and organized, but not super bright. Most house bowling balls were old, dirty, and chipped. I don't use a house ball since I have my own personal bowling ball. They may want to invest in some new balls... just saying. Their bowling games were $9.50 per game that Saturday night. I ended up not bowling. I would love to return to take advantage of their Early Bird Special at $4.75 per game which is a great deal from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on the weekend. League rate is $5.00 per game which is a steal, too (please note league must be hosted by Action Lanes to qualify). Bowling shoes are $5.00 per pair which isn't bad, but I have my own shoes so I don't need them. Please check out their other rates and promos online. When I was here, I had a wonderful conversation with Caleb. He was working behind the counter. Super friendly and nice young man. He gave me the scoop on which nights have leagues and when it was best to come here for best deals. Thanks Caleb! I didn't want to leave without supporting them. There's a boba shop inside the bowling alley, but they were closed at the time. I ended up buying one A&W Rootbeer from the vending machine. It wasn't a lot, but it was something. Quite a refreshing drink! I love bowling so I'll definitely be back to bowl. Thanks Action Lanes!

My husband and I ordered the popcorn chicken to share. As you can see from the photos, the attention to detail was there. From the golden brown color and seasoning on every piece. This was a perfect snack after an hour of bowling. I would order this again! Parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. It is large so you won't have to worry about not finding a spot. The business wasn't as busy when we came here during the week. There were a few lanes still open when we arrived. Overall, I recommend this spot. Whether you're a novice or a professional bowler, it's a great place to hang! If it weren't for the Yelp Elite Event held here, I wouldn't have thought to come back. Thanks, Action Lanes! Make sure your whole group is together before start time so you all play at the same time and no one misses out. Our group was a bunch of 5/6/7 year olds and the group they played against was 10-12 year olds so I felt like that was a little unfair but no one got seriously hurt so that's all you can ask for. My least favorite part was the arcade. Some of the games weren't working so that's a bust. Our kids were too young to use the VR game so it would have been nice if they got to ride the bumper cars twice instead of just losing out on that. On top of that there was only one person staffing the VR game, the mini bowling and the bumper cars so it was like 10-15 minutes between each option and there were only maybe 8 bumper cars so when there's a line the kids had to wait about 20 minutes just to ride the bumper cars. There were lines for the bumper cars and the VR so no one used the bowling because there wasn't enough staff. The pizza was fine, I believe you can order other stuff outside the party pizza if you want.

I wasn't a fan of how the helmet smelled though and of how the smoke smelled from the GoKarts. It was my first time trying it out so I don't know if that's normally how it is. I also didn't get to try the batting cages because they were closed 15 minutes before midnight, even though they advertised this spot closing at midnight. The Laser Tag activity was a pretty big space and I didn't find it stuffy at all, which was good. The VR next to the Laser Tag though was stuffy but at least there was an overhead fan. I personally don't trust how well they clean and disinfect the head masks, that's why I didn't try it. The arcade area was pretty limited in terms of games but they're always a good activity to do as an alternative from the other activities that have lines. Didn't get to try the mini-golf or the "bowling" area due to time. I like the outdoor patio and the ambiance of the string lights when you want to get some fresh air. Lots of families seated wherever they wanted and kids had a lot of stuff to play around with. Looking to see how this spot will compete with Round1 opening up soon in the mall. The water cup station is super handy, but they didn't want to refill the waters near the end of the night and the cups also, so we had to ask at the bar. I like that there's a good amount of staffing here who were all working hard. There's a few bathrooms spread out in the place. Parking is big in the back, just gets pretty dark.
