Cool little old school alley. For old fashioned bowling. But definitely still pricier than what I remember. I can see how it would be fun to rent out the locale. It was perfect for my littlest to try bowling for the first time. We just did an hour. And that was a fun short outing.

What a gem this bowling alley is. The aesthetics and how retro it is will charm you. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We will be back many more times.

Located on Honolulu Ave. in Montrose (the town that time forgot) Montrose Bowl is a really sweet little alley with only 8 lanes. It's been restored to a classic Fifties look and has a nice intimate feel. I was a little surprised that they don't have electronic score-keeping (see picture) so you have to do it the old-fashioned way with pencil and paper (if you care about who's winning). We didn't and had a great time anyway. I was there for a private party which is their main focus. And although I didn't have anything from the snack bar, Never Caged, others who did said the food was good. It does have the distinction of being the only vegan cafe in any bowling alley!

Very fun nice place. But food is not good and they only do private parties which really is a shame

Old, funky balls and shoes - no automatic scoring; just good old fashioned, old-school bowling.

We held a milestone celebration here for our construction crew, what a great experience!…read more First off all the staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable. This felt like a classic bowling alley- no gimmicks and no silliness. This place features a bar & grill, two pool tables, a fair amount of bowling lanes, and a small arcade. The dining area seating is plenty and the touchscreen displays at the lanes make setting up your games very easy. This place was clean, professional and didn't feel "corporate" if that makes sense. It definitely took me back to when I was a kid, bowling in a league with my uncles, very nostalgic. Our host gave us a quick rundown and rules which was great for anyone who had never been bowling before. Our party was pretty big (I think 30-40 people) but the staff was great in keeping up with our hungry carpenters. The food was good, I definitely rate it better than all bowling alley food I've ever had- but not quite "sit-down-restaurant" quality. That's OK, we were there to bowl and have fun. Everyone had a fantastic time. I highly recommend for group events, parties, dates or family fun. I leave one star off for parking- there is very limited parking and maybe I missed something but it seemed like the closest option was meter parking or up the block, most of our guys parked a block away in a public lot.

A…read morelot has changed since then , including the flooring, and though it's more esthetically pleasing, the experience just isn't the same. I used to bowl on a league so the way the ball grips matters to me, and the new floors just don't do it the same. I understand that it doesn't matter for most people, and that's also fine, but I prefer the original flooring. All in all it's still a really good time. The bowling balls haven't been changed since I worked there so that definitely needs to happen. These are chipped and beat up. You can actually hear the bumping sound of some of them as they go down the lane. Our company had a group outing there and the one important thing to know is that they charge an 18% service fee, which is NOT gratuity. So you would need to add gratuity on top of that, which puts you at around 33-38% on top of your total package amount. Nobody was able to tell us what the service fee was paying for.

It was a busy night apparently, but the lane next to us was empty for the duration of the time we were there. Interesting, but whatever. My cousin, who competes in local competitions, said the lanes are kind of whack as the pins go down a bit too easily and reward the crappier players. Not sure what he meant by that, but I did bowl better than my usual average of 65. Prices are decent and we took advantage of the 3-game special where the third game is half-off. Balls are in pretty decent shape and they have small to X large for everyone. Pro tip: there's a pretty good bar in here, sort of a hidden spot for locals here. If the usual popular sports bars are too crowded when a big game is on, I usually just come here. Lots of beer on tap, the screens are pretty large, and their burgers and fries are pretty good. Their cocktails are pretty solid as well. Happy rolling!

I'm incredibly disappointed with Bowlero's refund policy. My father-in-law was hospitalized, and…read moredespite our willingness to provide documentation, they refused to offer a refund. They only allowed us to reschedule. While we ultimately were able to reschedule, the lack of flexibility made for a very poor experience. The experience itself was just okay, but what really stood out was the inappropriate music videos playing on most of the screens. We had young children in our group, and the content was just bad - made me very uncomfortable being there. This is supposed to be a family-friendly place, not a nightclub. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Overall, Bowlero left a bad taste.

It's humongous, has reasonable structured parking right next to it with tons of spaces, and the win rate was very generous. It's attached to an inside mall that I didn't put a foot in, but I imagine it's a nicer mall based on the surroundings I passed. They seem to have a very large space inside, and a healthy volume of people roaming through all the aisles and arcade games. The people at the counters were also numerous and attentive. Yeah some machines were very weak and some had cheese wheels, but I think a majority were reasonably fair. I'm from NorCal and Burbank is by far my favorite Round1 at the moment. I liked this location so much that I had to visit it twice during my trip. I'm not too sure what to do with all the jumbo prizes I won! I will say though, this location has the laziest workers I've ever seen. We asked people to help us several times, and the usual response was "I'll get someone else" or being told to wait for nothing. You have to be extremely proactive and annoying about requesting for help. They're one of the first receivers of the gashapon and they're cute little keychain trinkets or figures, but ultimately I wasn't really interested in any of the random anime IPs.

I had never been there before…read moreand had some reservations, namely, that it would be a little too upscale and bougie for a fun bowling experience, or that it would be Chuck E. Cheese quality while being constantly nickled and dimed. Maybe I'm just overly cynical. Well, I was wrong. This place was great. We were greeted immediately by our event coordinator who got us situated on our lanes. The staff were extremely accommodating. They stored our ice cream cake at no charge and allowed an additional bowler we weren't expecting. And the pizza was a far cry from Chuck E. Cheese. It was the highlight for me, honestly. It just felt like at every turn, my expectations were exceeded, from the food, the staff and just the overall willingness to work with us tort the kids have a great time. I'm already looking into excuses to come back.

However,…read moremy gripe with this place is that its pricing is ridiculous. $16 for a game on weekends before sundown and $14 for weekdays... every other bowling alley is under $10 to bowl per game weekdays and weekends before sundown. I can't say i would come back because of the following: 1. Over priced 2. No bowling store. (Apparently converted to a party room). The place was recently renovated according to staff but to push the cost on the customers, i can see why only half the lanes are full. No one wants to pay for a choice made the owner. It would have naturally recouped the cost if the lanes were constantly full at an affordable price but they chose immediate monetary return (allegedly). This is my last choice for bowling and if i'm broke, i'll make the drive else where.
