I just mention it because I can't find any positives to balance the negatives. My $19+ Aperol Spritz was mostly ice and juice, with very little taste of alcohol. My mom's $22 chicken tenders and fries were also a big disappointment. There's also an automatic gratuity, followed by an option to add an additional tip, which felt a bit off given the minimal table service. Every Sunday, they have different comedians and it's called "Chocolate Sundays". Mostly a lot of African American comedians are performing for Chocolate Sundays. They really make me laugh. It's 2 items minimum for drinks. I had the Blackberry Whiskey sour ($18), and bottled water. My friend also had the same cocktail and bottled water. Service by Sarah was great in every way! I can't comment on the food, because we had already eaten. I have had their food in the past, and it's just OK. Bar food. What do you expect? She invited me for her birthday and normally the tickets are $20 for each person. Parking is valet, $17.00. We parked outside. I HATE valet, and don't trust them from previous experiences at different places. Place is very clean, bathrooms needed attention. If you ever get the chance and the opportunity, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. They had 2 shows. We went to the one for 9pm, since the 7pm one was already sold out. I cheerlead for this place to all my family and friends and have brought guest here time after time. I would reel them in because the brisket was so amazing. I also would rave how intimate and cozy this place is but spacious enough that everyone has a great seat in the house. The last three visits have just been so disappointing. Ticket prices have been fairly priced with even sometimes free tickets being made available on Instagram. Food and drink prices are definitely priced to make up for those ticket discounts. With that being said I will no longer order the brisket and tell anyone about it. It's been dry, flavorless and overcooked. Terrible! Now for our last visit, I was pretty disappointing and unsure if I'll return. It was the first time for one of my guest and my party was disappointed and I felt bad. So we were early and when doors were open, we were sat in the mid area. People were then filled in on the side of us and behind us. It was probably 10-15 minutes when we look around and notice people had drinks and food on their table and folks that came in after us, were being attended to. At one point the waitress, turned and looked at me and said I'll be with you after this. I smiled and ok thank you. She finished and then continued to go around us and didn't come back. At this point the show is starting. I got up and went to tell another worker and she seemed like she cared and wanted to help, but another female server rushed over to see what I was stirring up and she brushed me off and said I'll help you, but she was clearly irritated. I walked back and the original server is taking my guest order. Now the drinks and food came out so slow. Tables around us were done eating and working on second drinks. I was shocked. It was so bad. We couldn't even enjoy the show. We were sitting there thirsty. Food came out. It has really gone downhill. Cheap bar food over priced now. There was so much more bad involved but I'll leave it here. So imagine my absolute delight, when I came across The Nitecap, a sober comedy club in Burbank, with a CUTE LIL OUTDOOR PATIO for before the show starts. This place has everything - stand up, classes, audition prep and taping - and Aaron, the guy who owns it, is THE NICEST, COOLEST DUDE. He mixes mocktails himself and gently welcomes everyone like he fucking lives there and wants you to feel like his personal guest. Plus it's easy to park around there and I think you can rent the theater for your own projects too. I'll be back often, and I miiiiight even take an improv class... we'll see about that.

Real mad at the comedy store…read more First, we bought tickets to see Tiffany Haddish. She is an idol of mine. Her sense of humor is off the chain. But last night she was not on her game. She wasn't prepared. She wasn't funny. And she kept asking the audience if they had questions. Now I realize this is not the comedy store's fault. After all, she is a superstar. But what is their fault is that I called ahead and asked if Sunset Boulevard was open after a Watermain break. And they assure me that it was. Well, it wasn't. Which made me 45 minutes late for the show. So the Stage seats that I bought we're not available. And I was relegated to seats near the wall, where the talent was never facing me so you couldn't hear what they were saying. Their voices were muffled and you could only hear half the jokes. And that is the fault of the comedy store. They should have a better sound system that's not muffled so everybody in the audience can hear even if you're near the wall. It's so annoying to be within blocks of your target venue and still be 45 minutes late because of construction. Which they should be well aware of. So my evening was not at all pleasant. I was late for the show. The show sucked. We left halfway through.

It is a beautiful venue. Despite all of their earlier confirmations, the venue later declined my booking and claimed the date was unavailable, even though they had repeatedly assured me it was open. When I asked about alternative dates, they said they'd get back to me and never followed up. This forced me to completely rearrange my event on short notice. On top of that, the way I was treated in person felt noticeably different from how they spoke to or interacted with other clients. This made me feel unwelcome and singled out, which no customer should ever experience. Overall, the lack of communication, inconsistency, and unprofessional behavior made this a very disappointing experience. I genuinely hope they take this feedback seriously and improve how they treat prospective clients and handle bookings.
