There's plenty of shade as well as wide open spaces for sun. There is a homeless population here, but they are pretty cluster in one place usually near the chess tables near the recreation center building. The park extends down a huge block and breaks up extending from Chandler to Riverside Drive all the way down Tujunga Ave alongside the 170 Fwy. A great place for families, friends, kids and everyone really. They've held some community events here... Even a small Lgbtq+ pride celebration in the past. While street parking goes fast there are some small lots if you plan out your day early. A lot of people walk their dogs and through the ball here... plenty of nature to enjoy and take in.... I haven't taken any classes at this location, but might consider signing up for activities when restrictions are fully lifted.

Six courts and they are all lighted!! -Courts aren't totally trashed. May find abandoned tennis metal lids, leftover snacks, and a trail of ants near the benches but get cleaned at some point. -Useable filtered water fountain that has come in handy during hot days -I've been safe. There are homeless in daytime but they do gather around and prowl at night. On a random night, I played here close to midnight- 2am and I wasn't bothered. Cons: -Super long wait times to get a court -a lot of homeless. I've never been harmed or too bothered. I've had a few flashes of unclothed people. -The ambiance can be a bit whack depending on the type of people around. You've got normal people just wanting to play tennis, old folks that play here all the time and want to coach you, coaches expecting you to leave the court mid-game so they can do their private lessons (which is not allowed because I called the city and coaches need a permit to hold lessons here! Only 1 coach has a permit and he's at the last court, always). Players who yell, cuss, and play explicit loud music on their speaker... -Real world vibe. I've had a few arguments at these courts too which has caused me to not come as much/ call the city. I normally keep to myself and only come here to practice by myself since it's most convenient.

Worst of all, there are homeless people living in the park. They broke the locks meant to keep everyone out. This is really disappointing to me. They have a full playground, with some of the largest sun shades I've seen. The rubber flooring surrounds the play structure and there is no sand anywhere. There are several benches and most appeared to be in the shade. The entire site is pretty small, but it's designed really well that it feels much larger. There are two picnic areas with tables. Some tables have built-in chess/checkers boards. One picnic area is close to the playground and the other is in the back of the park, in a more quieter space. There is also a gazebo type area, with concrete flooring, but no tables or benches. Additional highlights are the 8+ exercise machines and equipment that are scattered throughout the dirt walking path around the park. They are designed for anyone 13 and up and they use your own bodyweight, which is great. Each one has a placard with instructions on how to use it. There is also a multipurpose center, but I'm not yet sure what services they provide, other than after school care (listed on a posted flyer). The building has two unisex exterior restrooms. Outside the restrooms are two sinks, with soap and an air dryer. This is not much of a park for sports or even throwing the ball around, but there is plenty of other things to do here. It could even be a great location for birthday parties! Street parking is on Lankershim and side streets, plus they have a small lot. Check out this new find. Pack a lunch and bring the kids!

Not squeaky clean, but a public restroom in LA. It's not Santa Clarita so don't expect much as far as newness and cleanliness. I would definitely come back if ever I am in the area and wanted to take a walk. It's near the freeway so it's not going to be peaceful, but if you're looking to get some steps in or place to lay on the grass and maybe read a book, this is a nice place. There is a solar-themed playground which is under repair right now. You'll find a large parking lot and parking along the perimeter. Not sure how busy it gets during the weekend or warmer weather. I would definitely return and like that it's not exposed to a major street.

It's close to home and offers a lot of activities to do. It has children's playground equipment, 2 basketball courts, 4 BIG, tennis courts, a dirt track, clean bathrooms, picnic area, nice spacious landscape and the most important, it's kept nice and clean. This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families. I am not going to dock a star for that since it meets all the other amenities & requirements.

But as for the park itself, it's one of the best you are going to do in North Hollywood this said of Burbank Blvd. Outside, they have a nice playground area for children, so it's good for families, and their is a nice big, open soccer field. There is also an outdoor basketball court that is fairly well taken care of. The tennis courts are pretty healthy as well, and there are two of them. On the inside, there is a basketball gym. The upkeep of the gym is definitely nice, and there is a stage as well. As for activities, they've got a pretty good list of them. They have soccer tournaments, they have basketball leagues for most age brackets, they have open bboy dancing on the stage on sundays, and they have a community workout that happens I believe on thursday nights around 7ish pm. So at those times, the tennis courts are jam packed with neighborhood moms and whatnot doing their workout routine thing. Of note, this neighborhood is primarily mexican, and as such, there are very few english speakers hanging out. The employees all are bilingual, and a lot of the neighborhood kids from my apartment go here, and most of them are bilingual. I am as well, but I only speak English and Japanese, so when Im playing basketball, tennis, or soccer with the other locals here, it's a bust as far as me knowing what the heck anyone is talking about lol. I know that my team usually just tries to give me the ball lolol. Anyway, overall, I am very happy that I have a nice place to come and shoot hoops and play tennis and soccer, and it's right next to a Starbucks, Target, and a few chicken and burger joints, so it's easy to eat or drink something right before or after as well. So, if you don't want to be subject to flying balls and other objects (including soccer balls which the kids are allowed to kick against the buildings and over the roof of the clubhouse), blood-curdling screams and minimally supervised children - ('supervised' by teens with serious attitude problems) under 10 running around you as you try to enjoy a peaceful walk, avoid this park. This basically applies to all times which working adults would like to walk to unwind from work, walk their dogs, etc., from 3-6 pm M-F. And the reason why these kids aren't at the schools, where latch key programs are supposed to be held? Well, apparently Burbank rents the school yards out to the Boys and Girls Club so the latch key programs are allowed (for whatever bizarre reason) to take over this park. Really not ok that tax paying Burbank residents cannot enjoy the park that they are paying for.

We stumbled across this park because we were nearby at Lowe's & this was a park I haven't been to yet in Burbank so had to check it out. - bigger and smaller playground - sandy area - two swings - benches to sit - NO restrooms - has 3 liquor stores around - street parking only - fire pole to slide down - nice playground, but not as nice neighborhood. We saw lots of homeless people walking through or sitting the park. We didn't stay too long because of the environment but it's a shame because it's such a cute park! Love that there are so many slides!

Had a play date at this park recently after we were told it was renovated. They did a really…read moreexcellent job with the new play structures and it's really beautiful! There are two separate structures for bigger kids and younger kids. Multiple slides that go in each direction! I also like how the whole play area is fenced to keep the little ones safe. It's also really colorful. My 3.5 year old loves challenging and different playgrounds so he really had fun climbing the big ladders and sliding down the big slides.
