Great little park with upgraded playground. Lots of green space to run around, pick up sticks, kick a ball around. There's a walking path and a smaller playground for the littles. Took off a star for no restrooms read more

Our family had a great time at Woodbridge Park. Other families were present and everyone had space to romp and play. One child was skating the perimeter and others were climbing or swinging. The larger park is great for a quick jog or tiring a dog or two. read more

I have been going to this park for so many years. When my son was 2 years old, I used to take him there like twice a week. He is almost 29 years old. Believe it or not, this park is not only for kids. I also love having fun in the sun or during twilight. It has so many different activities to do. I love to get on the swing, even slide on the slides and be a kid and be young at heart. It has a nice grass area with some workout equipment closer to the street. I have worked out in the past on those machines. You can jog, walk, walk your dogs and just chill and relax. I have also done yoga 2 or 3 times in the past. It is pretty big and beautiful. Nature is always beautiful to me. Nice trees, benches to sit and relax and eat a light meal or have a birthday party. I have seen families held birthday parties there so many times. It is a good getaway from home when you want to be alone or take your kids there to play. Plenty of parking on the streets to park your cars and just walk right into the park. Recently they have done a major and nice renovation to the playground and made it more durable and safe for the kids to play in the playground. Upgraded the place, structure and the ground surface. Which is a major PLUS FOR SAFETY!! Love this park and is so close to my house. I can even walk there. Also very CLEAN!! The reason I am giving 4 stars is that it has no bathrooms. I mean most parks have at least 1 or 2 bathrooms. Why doesn't this park have a restroom?? It is so IMPERATIVE to build a bathroom somewhere in the park!!! Where are we supposed to go when mother nature is calling us?? Doesn't matter whether you are a kid or an adult. When you got to go, you got to go. I could have given 3 stars, but since this park brings back a lot of good times and memories, I don't want to duck a star for that. If you build a BATHROOM/RESTROOM, my 4 stars will turn into 5 stars!! Think about the restroom situation and please do something about it. read more

I don't understand how this is a highly rated park for toddlers: there's no gate around the toddler playground!! And if your toddler is a runner like mine, you're chasing them around and you look like a kidnapper, and they inevitably head to the older playground where they can potentially get crushed under the merry-go round or drop kicked by a kid on a swing. And there's a section of the park that has embankments to fall down, and a weird-ass section that narrows and runs behind a school that looks prime for assaults. And parking sucks. read more

Great park, fun playgrounds for older kids and younger kids. Large grassy area for picnics and birthday parties. Only drawback is that there are no bathrooms! read more

Best park for 4-7 year olds, and younger ones with parent's help. Very soft and safe rubber ground cover. Variety of climbing, slides, swings, places to run around. This is my 6 year old grand twins favorite. Great self spinning merry go round. read more

This is a nice big park (one huge block), with a good playground for the kiddies and also a nice outdoor workout area with public weight machines on the north end of the park. There are paths for jogging and for strolling. It is adjacent to a private middle school, and it has a secret path on the SE corner to bring you to the side streets where it might be easier to park. read more

Big park but way old. Paint chipping off all equipment. Rusted and cracked equipment. All sand that is not clean at all. No fence, right on a road. Though not a main road but still. No shade to speak of even though there are trees Needs a major major rehab. read more

Summer is the season of picnics, family reunions, outdoor parties, BBQ's, etc; therefore, it is vital to find the perfect park for these memorable gatherings. The perfect ratio of greenery, playgrounds, shade, and leisure activity options must be calculated to the full advantage while the proximity to the residential area surrounding it is also assessed. Sounds scientific, doesn't it? Well, let's take a lighter course and see how Woodbridge Park fits the bill... Woodbridge Park is a small park located in Studio City near the prime strip of shopping on Tujunga (who isn't familiar with Aroma Cafe) making this park the perfect after-dinner or gelato stop to walk off some excess calories. However, Woodbridge is a bit deceiving on the eyes, as it looks bigger and more well-kempt from the street than it actually is. To give Woodbridge credit, it is spacious (however, it is mostly an empty lot of land), has two playgrounds to suit both smaller and older children, contains a few picnic tables, a small bike path, exercise machines, and chess tables (which is certainly the highlight: circular tables with a metal plate to suit a rousing outdoor boardgame). Sounds great, right? The problem with these amenities is the state of care that they are in. The tables are dirty and have graffiti tags, the chess tables look shabby, uninviting, and are bordered with garbage, and the playgrounds are relatively decent but still need a good cleaning. The lawns themselves look more like a side of the freeway lot than a park (which, it technically is). The workout machines are in the best shape of the lot but are so close to the curb, that it is awkward for both exercisers and drivers to see each other. Plus, there are no baseball fields, basketball courts, or tennis courts so skip bringing the sports buffs. Despite these negative points, Woodbridge is rather quiet and suits a few minutes of peace. If nothing else (and my following point can be good OR bad); Woodbridge attracts fairly odd park-goers. Some of the people I have seen must be from some hidden-camera TV show because they simply can't be "real". This makes Woodbridge ideal for "people-watching" or your research for your next sociology book. Sadly, Woodbridge isn't suggested for your 4th of July bonanza or your niece's birthday party. However, if in the neighborhood, Woodbridge will happily support a quick but quiet "walk in the park". read more

They recently redid the playground which I was very excited about. I was assuming it was going to be wheelchair accessible since most new parks are. it wasn't. It also is extremely unsafe for any child under the age of nine. A lot of weird rope climbing stuff. I had to stand right next to my son the entire time. There were so many places he could have gotten hurt. They still have the little area in the back for toddlers and infants but i wouldn't be surprised if they re do it because its really old. Im sad because it's so close to us but its too unsafe. read more

I love this park, but it does need a renovation and a shade above the playground equipment. It is very sunny in the morning and the equipment is very hot. No bathrooms, so keep that in mind. Families are friendly and parking is available on a street for the most times. read more

My office is hectic, and there is no quiet place to eat lunch in the building. Some people eat on a lawn across the street, some people brave the lunch room, but not me. I like a quiet patch of solitude smack dab in the center of my day. Woodbridge Park is a little oasis that greenly shines two blocks west of the 101 N. onramp on Moorpark, and one block east of the hippest stretch of Tajunga in the valley. One side of the park is quiet. Large trees loom over park benches and picnic tables that are shaded by slotted wooden verandas. No matter how hot the day, the two lunch tables under the largest trees on the north side of the park are always cool. There are trees scattered all over the park, each one inviting a picnic in puddle of shade at the foot of it's trunk . In the center of the park is a large expanse of grass perfect for chucking a frisbie around. There is also a dirt track that circles most of the park and is perfect for walking or jogging. On the south side of the park you will find lots of parents playing with their kids on the jungle gym set up. There are swings, slides and climbing apparatus in a big round sand area, the perimeter of which is ringed by that rubbery surface that looks like concrete but isn't. During the school year, you may want to wait until after 1pm to enjoy some quiet because huge flocks of children from the school annexed to the park will be out and about in full force. You can always find street parking and there is a water fountain. Bring a sack lunch, a newspaper, and enjoy some peace of mind. read more

This is a tiny playground about the size of a grandma's sweater pocket. I'm not thrilled with the location right off 2 major freeways and to be honest our 3&4 year old kids got bored pretty quickly. Ya got maybe an hour, 1 1/2 if you stretch it out with snacks. If you're walking distance it makes sense, but if you're looking for a good park, Balboa, Brand or Griffith/travel town are your best bets. It's also pretty dirty, HAS FILTHY SAND, and I didn't see a bathroom. #yikes read more

A really nice park for children, picnics, walkers and runners. My son and I enjoy walking to the park from our neighborhood home. However, I keep coming across people who have their dogs off the leash. Today, as I was running the dirt track a lady's dog came running and barking after me. I told the woman to put a leash on her dog and continued my run. On my next lap I observed the dog chasing after a child and nipping at his leg. I yelled at her to leash her dog. Her response was that he won't hurt anyone. Really? I hope we can put a stop to these people who think of their dog before the public's safety. We really don't know when a dog can be provoked to behave out of character. I would hate to have a child hurt by one of the "friendly" dogs. read more

I love a little part that I can stop and take a nap in, and this part sure fits the bill. There is a small playground there's lots of trees, and a nice jogging path. There seem to be a variety of happy people here and bring your blanket sit on the lawn and enjoy yourself take a nap meditate or do whatever you choose. There's a nice shade under the trees and hey it's what you want to see in a park. Parking can be a bit tight, okay welcome to the valley read more

I live near by this place. I used to go often before I discovered another park. Things I like: 2 different play yards, many stuff for activities, road for bike Disadvantages: no restroom at all. This is awful especially when you are there with toddler potty trained. I don't understand where kids should go. Also, road is just next to park and it's easy for kids to go on the road which is not safe. Playground is not fenced. read more

Good park. Nice terrain - there's a creek, some small hills, good room to run. There's a toddler playground and a 'big kid' playground, and a ton of grass and space. There are no port-a-pottys, though, which I find strange for a public park, and no water fountain that I noticed. I'm I discover otherwise, I'll correct the review because it is a really good park but in my opinion those are necessary for five-star park status. read more

Thank you to all of the Good Samaritans who saved our dog today. We recently rescued a small dog. We were out walking her today at Woodbridge Park. It's a wonderful park for kids, adults and dogs to enjoy a sunny Sunday afternoon. Something spooked our puppy when we went to put her back in the car and she wriggled out of her harness and got free. She ran across Moorpark and was heading toward Laurel Canyon Blvd. Several people got out of their cars to stop traffic to keep her safe. One particularly skilled woman out walking with her husband ran after the dog and was able to get her calmed down enough to pick her up so we could put her in our car and take her home. It was a harrowing experience. We didn't get a chance to properly thank the many individuals who helped return our dog to safety. We could not have done it without your help. Thanks to everyone at the park today who assisted in the rescue. I wanted you to know that it was due to you that our puppy is safe. read more

I love this park. Its walking distance from home, thank god! And its an all around great park to bring your kid to. I have been bringing my daughter here since she was able to hold up her head. It has a great kiddie section, that, for the most part, big kids stay away from. This is great for those little ones to explore and not have to worry, too much, about being knocked over by a bigger kid (but hey, its a park, the kids gonna get knocked around a bit, its called growing up) The bigger kid area is good too with 4 swings (2 kiddie ones and 2 normal ones), come at the busy time, you may have to explain to an anxious toddler why they have to wait their turn...and maybe contend with some tears (but that too is growing up, kid). There are a couple good slides, swing bridges, and climbing things to keep the overly cautious parent restless. There is alot of sand and plenty of room for the kids to run, thank god, and wear themselves down (wear them down...pppllleeaaassseeee!). There are some shade trees to sit under, and two long grassy areas which are relatively free of dog poop (there is an occasional land mine, but most of the owners around there politely pick up). No dogs allowed in the play area, so please keep your dog leashed (and for me, I really don't care how nice you think your dog is...to a kid who is not all to into dogs, any dog, even Benji, is a bit scary. so again, please leash your dog around the kids. If a kid wants to touch your friendly dog, the kid will come up to your friendly dog, please don't let your friendly dog come up to the kid...ok...enough on that point). Its a good place to have an outdoor birthday party, just get there early and claim your spot, you cannot rsvp thru parks and rec. The parents are relatively decent,... kids too. There is always an occasional one (of each) that makes you worry for the future of humanity and yet seems apropos for LA. There are not bathrooms so plan accordingly. And on that note, I wouldn't go foraging in the bushes...kinda smells like kiddie pee. oh, one last thing...I wouldn't advise drinking, or letting your kid drink, out of the drinking fountain, unless you like water that tastes like dog slobber (I have seen many owners letting their dogs drink right from the fountain...yeee-uck...dogs lick their own bits and eat poop...not to say humans are much better, but really...they lick their own bits! and you're drinking it) read more

I've lived and worked as a real estate agent in the Woodbridge Park area for 25 years. The community is rare in that it feels like an old fashioned "neighborhood" with strolling sidewalks, longtime residents, all close to the charming park, and nearby Tujunga Village boutiques, cafes, theaters, and more. A great neighborhood, and adjoining park all very close to transportation, including the metro subway at Universal and Freeways. This quaint neighborhood is just a few minutes from Hollywood and Beverly Hills, but seems like a world away. The park is understated, never crowded, and has one of the best children's playground around. www.woodbridgepark.com read more

My daughter loves to go to this park to play. It's located in a real "old fashioned" neighborhood and parents feel real safe along with their families. I love this park it is gorgeous but i noticed no one commented on the terror next door. I WOULD recommend this building as a wonderful, peaceful place to live if management changed. The onsite manager is pushy, disrespectful, rude to tenants and guest, lies about company and community rules, and gives certain tenants special treatment from the rest. I am embarrassed to have guest over or even simply pass by her with my guest because she scolds and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. Although the Woodbridge Park Apartment building is located in a nice neighborhood, right next door to a beautiful dog park and private elementary school, has two pools, gas grills in the back, and friendly neighbors; there is never any parking available, the onsite manager can be an annoyance and it is embarrassing to have my guest walking through my apartment building to get to my apartment commenting on how racist this building seems to be. If you ever have the chance to visit and take a tour, you would see African-Americans placed in the back of the building, Caucasians in the front, and Hispanics all placed in the middle back (INCLUDING the manager). If you are a student, hate animal friendly buildings, or simply value your privacy, then this would NOT be the place for you. But living in a pet friendly building can make the countdown for your lease feel somewhat at ease. read more
