Been there a few times before and it was always pretty good. Very nice people,clean and generally quite tasty. Yesterday's visit was not. I ordered 2 gyro with falafel wraps,had them in the past and really enjoyed em. This time, falafel was cooked in old oil and the size was small. The wraps were ordered "with the works". Mostly lettuce,very skimpy on the rest ,including ONE slice of pickle and very little sauce. The gyro meat was tasteless and appeared to be reheated!! Very disappointed. It appears there are 2 guys who work there,one does a great job , I got the other one,he was the only one there. I think next time I need a gyro,I will make the trip to Thayer Street.... read more

Best falafel wrap I have ever had in my entire life, do not sleep on this place just because it's in the gas station convenience store. My girlfriend had the chicken and cheese wrap and she said the chicken was perfectly cooked, the falafel was so fresh and delicious and not overly dry. The wraps have to be home made as well because the texture isn't anything like a normal pizza shop or sandwich shop wrap. I didn't get the guys name who runs it but he's super cool and chill... he def needs a food truck or to expand. Absolutely amazing food and really reasonable prices... not to mention it's in a literal convenience store so the drink and chip options are endless to enjoy with your food. What is going on here? This place used to be packed but not anymore. They have very small signage and are in the gas station plaza so if you haven't been there find it! If you used to go there I can tell you it's still the same great place it's always been. I used to drive to Wakefield to go to the mothership but this place makes the exact same menu and exact same quality which is better than excellent. I always get the pick pocket but everything is amazing and the people that work there are friendly and efficient, your food is ready fast. Get off 295 sometime, it's only two minutes from RT 7 exit and you will have a better meal than anything you can get at a chain restaurant. read more

This location is located inside of a gas station in case you're trying to find it. I've ordered pickup and delivery here. My 2nd favorite middle eastern joint to get falafel wraps from. Would like to see more sauce with good flavoring to make it my go to spot. I like the red sauce they put in my order from another spot. This would be my only critique. read more

This is one of my absolutely favorites for lunch for the lamb shawarma in either a pita or as a plate. I love everything you can put with it especially the sauces, it's always so messy and so flavorful. The service from the guy who runs it can be rude sometimes, and if not rude then dismissive, hence why I took a star, but since I'm not eating there it doesn't bother me. If you want the best bang for your buck I suggest the combo plate where you get any two meats for like $14 or 15 and it's enough to last you probably lunch and dinner. It's hard to come by this place because it's hidden in a shell station with not much information online, but it's always busy and if you are ever near on rte 116, definitely check it out read more

I don't eat out much especially with during the pandemic, however, I have come here twice within the past few months and the food here is really good! The first time I came, I had the pick pocket. It was so delicious and had a lot of flavor. It feels light on the stomach as well!! The second time I came, I decided to try the chicken falafel wrap which was what I was torn between when I ultimately picked the pick pocket the first time I came. The chicken falafel wrap was soooo good! I liked it better than the pick pocket. It is much heavier, and I couldn't eat it all in one sitting! OMG, the shawarma, the hummus, the grape leaves! Generally when someone who resides in New England tells me a thing is spicy, I take that with more than a few grains of salt. That said, the beef shawarma is, in fact, delightfully spicy. The hummus is so citrusy and flavorful, and the nice guy who works there will let you try it for free, along with all the other delicious sauces. (Don't sleep on that lemon garlic sauce they have.) The food is reasonably priced. I got 8 oz of hummus, 6 grape leaves, and a beef shawarma plate including salad and rice for around $22. He even threw in some bread for my hummus. Also two "non Mediterranean" cooks behind the counter.... the lamb was tough, the beef tasted like a hockey puck. No onions, no seasoning, no tahini or hummus. My side were the FALAFEL bites... they looked like onion rings, small medallions. They were fried and drenched in tzaiki. I took two bites and threw away. Went for the first time this past weekend. The man behind the counter was extremely friendly and happy to help us. We ordered a pick pocket wrap, which was fried eggplant, mozzarella, lettuce tomato and balsamic. This wrap was simple, but light and delicious! The wrap was not thick, and did the wet ingredients did not soak through. We also got a grilled chicken salad. Also extremely fresh, with the chicken being grilled as we wait! We ordered the lemon garlic as our dressing, that coating on the chicken and the salad, what a star. Do not be turned off by the location being in a gas station. Coming to think about it, the location is great with plenty of parking and being right off a busy high way. We have never stopped here before despite driving by multiple times a week and living close by. We will be returning with excitement to try their other offerings! read more

Know this! It is in the Quickets store, the little grocery store at the Shell station. My new favorite place for super fresh, super healthy foods. And how do they make their pocket bread so delicious? Large portions. They make the falafel and fry it right there! Gyro? Yum. Super roasted veggie with hummus and tabouli? So yum. Chicken shwarma? Yum yum yum. Their menu is stupefying, just order anything, you'll be back to try the others. Next on my list to try....The Honey Monster and the new Honey Bee. This is a shop inside a gas station! Food was pretty good!! People were nice nothing was overwhelming and I wouldn't rush to go back.

Normally, I would probably have just walked right pass this small deli counter-like shop that's inside a gas station store. But thanks to their online ordering system, good reviews and pictures, I made my order! As I was waiting in line, I was glad to see everyone wearing gloves, all the customers ahead of me seem to be regulars and were very friendly with the owner/cook. As I told them I had made an online order, they confirmed I had ordered the Chicken Falafel wrap, then proceeded to the fryer to get me the fresh falafel. I was very surprised to see they had not just make the order and wrapped it up, it was very considerate of them to make sure my falafel would be crispy when I picked up. To me that speaks volumes about customer service! Even though I wasn't a true fan of the falafel, texture was more donuts like than crispy, so next time i could do without. The chicken was very tender and flavorful but the tahina sauce definitely rivaled many places I've eaten at. I've eaten Mediterranean food many times and the quality here could beat some restaurants I've been to. So I'm looking forward to ordering more from here in the future. read more

First off, I'd like to say that I've had better food that was well thought out (spices, portion size, etc) at other Mediterranean restaurants and were actually cheaper. Although, as it's attached to a gas station, it could have been a lot worse. I ordered a mixed plate with chicken kabob and falafel. It came as what I would call chicken shawarma. The chicken was not cubed but more shredded. This was the only part I truly enjoyed. The seasonings on the chicken was impeccable. The falafel was the worst I've ever had. Just chickpeas smashed into a container and I watched the employee scoop three blobs into the fryer. No seasonings added, so as you could imagine, it was bland as anything. As for the salad that comes along side the plate, meh. I could take it or leave it. The ingredients weren't the freshest. The green peppers were discolored) and the olives still had the pits in them. The ranch dressing wasn't good either. They PILED rice into the styrofoam container ON TOP of pita bread. So by the time I was finished the chicken on top, had as much rice as I could stomach, finally getting to the pita...it was soggy. Their version of a tzatziki sauce could have been better. It was more like yogurt with mint sparingly mixed in. I appreciate a hefty portion of rice but this was beyond hefty. They couldn't close the container and by the time I was ready to eat it, half of it spilled out into the plastic bag. I'm glad I gave Pick Pockets a shot but I sadly won't return. read more

I live literally 2 minutes from this place and have been going there for years! I'm not quite sure when Tony opened, but we started going there far before photos decorated the walls. People are initially uneasy about eating from a place located within a gas station/convenience store, but this place is so clean, food is fresh and the price is right. My fiancé likes to get the combo chicken and beef Shawarma which comes with salad, pita and rice pilaf. I like to get the falafel & gyro wrap chock full of lettuce, veggies, and The garlic aioli type sauce which is so delicious. Everything is good here, even the "burritos" which is essentially a wrap with rice pilaf in it and BBQ chicken or whatever else you please. As Tony (the one and ONLY "chef") will tell you, "this is the best food you'll ever find in a gas station." Though the phrase is humorous, he is 100% spot on! So first things first, get over the fact that you're "in a gas station". It's possibly the cleanest place I've eaten in that's not a restaurant and the experience is like no other. When you go to Pick Pockets, DEFINITELY sit at the counter and eat there. Tony is ABSOLUTELY hilarious and will keep you entertained during your meal. On top of that, you get homemade pita chips with homemade hummus (both DELICIOUS!) for FREE(!) while you wait for your wrap to be made. If you stick to the Meat (e.g. Chicken, Hero, Beef, or Lamb) & Falafel Combo wraps you will NOT ever be disappointed. Feel free to try other wraps on the menu. I've heard the grape leaves are awesome too. When it comes to toppings for your wrap, its personal preference, but don't be scared away by the "hot" sauce, its not that hot. On your first trip, its best to just let Tony pick your toppings. One wrap ($7.40) is PLENTY for one person. In fact, if you sit at the counter and eat the chips and hummus, two people can split one wrap. If you have extra room in your belly, grab a piece of baklava...its great as well!
