Great servers, great bartenders, great chefs. I love the ambiance and energy inside this restaurant and love eating outside on a beautiful spring day. I can't wait to try the new Mac n cheese recipe.

I haven't been here in a bit. I was meeting my son for his 20th birthday. We use to come here…read moreall the time when he was younger so we were both excited to come here for dinner! On to the review! party of 6 and we must have been lucky because there was a table ready and didn't even have to wait( place was busy). We were waited on right away and got our drink orders in and with in minutes we had them and we all know what we wanted already so we put our orders in and the server asked if we wanted our food together or just bring it out as it gets done. We all agreed as it gets done and before you know it fresh pipping hot food starts arriving to our table. While waiting for the food and talking with the family I was able to get a good vibe check of the ambiance of this place and I must say I good really great vibe and felt like was just a bunch of happy people eating and having greats convos with one another. :-) On to the food! Nachos - Super awesome and crunchy and fresh. not soggy at all and a huge portion for 15 bucks! Margherita pizza - Super fresh piping hot pizza with fresh tomatoes and Basil! Sriracha Buffalo Cauliflower - This is where things started to turn inconsistent. let's see we had three orders of these and pretty much all three orders looked different, tasted different and some of the bigger pieces were not cooked through. All three of us did share each others to compare tastes. Reggie's Raw Heaven Salad - I did not eat the salad but I looked at it and asked the couple how they liked it and they said it was awesome! Note to self to try next time! Sweet Potato Wedges - Hot and fresh but again with the inconsistency, some were over cooked almost burnt and some were a little under cooked but for the most part they were nice and crunchy on the outside and nice and pillowy soft on the inside. Overall - I do love this place, I can't wait to come back and see if the food can be a little more consistent.. This place has really great vibe to it and I do recommend it for a good vegan food spot!

We started with the Chicken Marsala Stuffed Mushrooms, which were packed with rich, savory flavor. I ordered the 'Shroomy Grilled Cheese, and it was next-level comfort food; gooey, earthy, and perfectly balanced. My husband and aunt both had the New School Smash Burger, and they couldn't stop raving about it. Every dish was bursting with flavor and truly "to die for." Our server, David, made the night even better. He was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely kind; an overall great spirit with a fantastic attitude who elevated the entire dining experience. David even brought us some of their popcorn, which was so delicious and such a fun extra touch. We loved the food, we loved the service, and we will definitely be back; highly recommend.

I truly don't understand this place after eating here a few times. It is always packed ... the…read moreparking lot literally looks like a shopping mall with cars parked along the street. It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

The staff was competent, effective and you can tell they were organized and prepared, not their first rodeo. They got Us in for a walk in waitlist within 15mins which shocked me as we were 4th in line on their waitlist link. Having a waitlist link was impressive in itself tbh. Love the communication for customers... showing the wait time and which spot in line you have. Chips and water came out quick even with the packed restaurant. At the end, I believe a manager, came by to ask how our dining experience was and to clear the table. Love that ! Nice that the manager jumps in to help and takes time to check in with customers. I was very impressed by their operations. I had el pastor tacos which the cinnamon-ish flavor profile wasn't my taste but the tacos were good if you enjoy that, came with black refried beans and rice. Rice was really good! I had the spicy Diablo margaritas with tajin rim and really enjoyed that as well. My bf had the birria tacos which came with the dip and he said it was mid, could've been better as wasn't much flavor. I also had shrimp ceviche which was ok too. Was hoping for more flavor. Really loved the warm tortilla chips and salsa was nice. We also ordered the cheese queso blanco dip which was really good.
