The only reason it's not a five star - noise doesn't do well there. It wasn't full capacity but it was hard to have a conversation without raising my voice. And it's the Bryant bar - which I wasn't expecting - and I just thought I could grab a late dinner and enjoy some drinks and Olympics - and nahhhh around 9 they are clearing tables and the college kids start showing up. Vibe changed. GOOD FOR THEM! but not ideal for me lol Buuuuut they'd get five stars for the food alone. I LOVED my burger so much. Best burger I have had in a while - Alabama Slamma. Flame grilled?!? Flavorful. So good, and I don't know why but I got a side salad instead of fries and that dressing was so good too! Was highly delighted with the salad. Service was great - I really appreciated that when our beers came in plastic cups our waitress immediately told us "sorry about the cups, everything else was hot from the washer" like yes please, make a decision for better quality AND give us a heads up? Very good. Love the atmosphere of this place. Great place to watch a game. Service was pretty good. Food was great. To start we got the frickles (delicious) and an order of siracha maple brown sugar wings campfire style (they grill them after saucing them) and wow they were great. Would definitely recommend campfire style if you plan on ordering wings. For my main I got the chicken caesar wrap with a side of honey mustard and buffalo sauce. What a hidden gem! They have multiple locations in RI. A perfect spot for a quick bite to eat or drinks with friends at the bar. The exterior looks like a cabin and fits its name. Service was friendly. I came from wing night and got the garlic parm and bbq wings. They were a good size and flavorful. I had the couch potato fries app and it was tasty and filling. Stopped into the Thirsty Beaver today for lunch and it got the job done. The inside is cute and spacious. The waitress was also very nice and took our orders very quickly. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and my partner had the turkey avocado wrap. He liked his food, and mine was pretty decent as well. I'm giving four stars because I found three different/rather long hairs on the table and my chicken sandwich didn't blow me away. However, it's definitely not bad by any means! read more

This was our second time trying thirsty beaver but first time dinning in. It was a quiet Tuesday night so thought we would get in and get out fast. We ordered right away but the service was pretty slow (only complaint). Other than that, we really enjoyed our meal! We started with wings which were good size and also had the couch potato for an app that was pretty good as well, so many good options on the menu we were eyeing so will have to go back to try other items. For dinner my GF had the Alabama bbq burger that was solid and the fries were so good. I ordered grilled chicken tenders but they ended up bringing out the breaded tenders but I didn't say anything since they looked really good and they were really good lol! The inside had many tvs to catch the game with plenty of bar seating, high top tables, standard Tables, and outdoor patio seating as well. The perfect place to go for lunch after a nice long hike at Heritage Park / Steere Hill on a summer day. My friends and I enjoyed the pub fare and some cold beers out on the patio with our four legged friend (dogs welcone on the patio!). We cleaned our plates! Overall, you can't really go wrong with The Thirsty Beaver. They have a menu with a good variety of options. I haven't had anything that I haven't liked yet. I particularly enjoy the boneless wings. I do think the tables are a bit close together, but I understand wanting to fit as many as possible for those super busy times. read more

Stayed local tonight went to the Smithfield beaver! Quiet then it filled up we always just grab a seat at the bar. Jacob was the bartender he was a great bartender & a great personality . Had a full bar but was very attentive. Split a few apps pizza & a salad . Foods always great & quick. Bar area was very clean & tvs were on to watch nfl games . Music was playing just loud enough to be able to talk too. The manager & servers were all pitching in and helped deliver the food & drinks to everyone. This was probably the worst restaurant I've ever experienced. I went in to watch a football game and get some food. There was one person working. It was freezing cold. It took 45 min to get some nachos, that came out cold and the most pathetic excuse for a dish. I thought it was a joke. When she asked how everything was, I told her the issue. Went back after a couple of years and experience was just as bad. Will not be making the mistake of coming back to the Thirsty Beaver a 3rd time. Some of my friends wanted to go to the Beaver after an event and I figured it's been a couple of years maybe the place improved a little bit. Walked in and place was dingier than I had remembered only a couple people staffing the entire place long line at the bar. I wanted to eat but they closed the kitchen at 9 so we just missed it, not that the food is anything special but when you're hungry sometimes you'll lower your standards. Ended up waiting in the bar line to get a Guinness and try forget where I was. I finally get to order and the bartender when pouring my drink spilled another beverage in my Guinness and must have thought I didn't noticed because he decided to serve it to me anyways. Also I don't go to many bars but 8.50 for a 12oz Guinness was insulting especially since the bartender couldn't avoid making it into a Cocktail. I regret wasting more time and money at this place, for real this time, I'm never going back. I really love bar food so I was excited to try this place, especially since I live so close by. It was really empty at 5pm on a Wednesday, so we were seated right away. My husband and I ordered Buffalo and garlic Parm wings with loaded waffle fries (it came with scallions, cheese, sour cream and bacon). Our Food took about 15 minutes to arrive. The wings were just okay--the garlic parm wings didnt taste like garlic, almost like it was missing the garlic toss because the parm wasn't sticking to the wings. I wanted to try this restaurant out because of their community involvement and I am glad we did. I really liked the inside theming. They have a juke box, log lamps and everything made out of wood. It felt very clean. The service was ok, there seemed to only be one server. I am assuming they were short staffed. The menu has fun and creative names referencing local phrases. We ordered the wings and fried pickles for appetizers and everyone enjoyed them. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was very good. My daughter ordered the staff pick chicken sandwich and my fiancé and son ordered burgers. They all enjoyed their food as well. Wound up here on a Sunday night after a brewery tour with a few friends (7). Waitress did a great job getting us our drinks and food order. Started off with some appetizers; wings, nachos, loaded fries. All were delicious! I had a hamburger and fries and have to say it was the only time in awhile that the burger was cooked as ordered, well done. Usually when I order well done it comes out raw in the middle. Lettuce, and tomato were fresh. Restaurant has a good selection of beers on tap. Huge bar and plenty of big screens. Parking lot is large and there is a lot next door to handle any overflow. A group of 10 of us who are all 21+ with VALID IDs, they didn't believe they were real WHEN THEY ARE, so we gave them our student IDs showing we are seniors in college. This location for the Thirsty Beaver is much bigger than the Cranston location. They offered a similar menu and prices/portions of meals were adequate. The kitchen reversed our meal order but it was getting busy so I it was an easy fix. our meals came out within 15 minutes of placing the order and everything that should be hot was. The waitress was decent and checked on us frequently during our meal. My only complaint was the heating or the lack there of it. when we arrivedit was chilly but 15 minutes before we left suddenly the heat kicked on but it stifling. the same thing happened at tHe Cranston location so I'm guessing it's a pre set heating system. read more

Not a Fan I will always be fan of the bar that preceded this place, Tickers. It was a dump, but it was my town dump bar. Now we have The Beaver, it's just not my thing. Nice people, decent deals, so it's not the new places fault. However, walking into this brightly lit place with the nauseating neon lights on the bar bottles, it just reminds me of one of those awful Bar Rescue makeovers. Well folks, we are well past that and still no movement on this site. Did he mean 2024? It has been under construction for nearly, or over 2 years. Our girls hockey team went to the thirsty beaver in Smithfield for a birthday party. There was a reservation for hockey team, but the parents also stayed and had separate tables. The restaurant was busy and only had a single waitress helping out upwards of 70 people. Helena was the name of the waitress and she worked extremely hard to help us all out. We spent about 2 hours there and had plenty I eat and drink. The atmosphere was a laid back vibe with plenty of tvs and space to watch the bruins hockey game. A very good place to Kill a few hours while at a hockey tournament. The food was good , beers were better l!
